The sun was starting to set into the horizon. I was focused on preparing a cup of latte for a regular customer when suddenly Yunho stepped into the café with a bouquet of red roses. I looked up at him and our eyes met. Giving me one of his rare smiles, I felt my heart beat increase a teeny bit before I returned him with a polite smile.

“Hang on a second; I’ll be ready to leave once I’m done with these orders.” I glanced at the row of orders I had to fulfill before we could close the shop for the day and Yunho nodded.

 “Leave it to me, don’t keep your date waiting,” said Siwon as he stepped out from the kitchen and stood beside me. “This is going to take you quite a while.”

I thanked Siwon and apologized for keeping him back from leaving though his job was already done.  Throwing my apron aside, I quickly grabbed my purse and headed towards the exit alongside Yunho. But some part in me wasn’t all too excited for this date. I wouldn’t mind spending a few more hours working in the café if it meant seeing him. Oh silly me, what was I thinking. I see him every single day; we even live in the same house! I turned my head back for the last time and caught Siwon’s eyes. A warm smile appeared on his face and he mouthed the word GO to me. Unexpectedly, my heart sank.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t expect some extravagance on Yunho’s part for the date. He was dressed in nothing but the finest suits, shirts and ties every time we met. I looked down at my outfit and felt out of place. I was going to be such an embarrassment to him.

As I got into Yunho’s car, he handed me a paper bag.

“I got you a dress and a pair of heels. I thought you’ll look good in these.”

Reaching into the paper bag, I pulled out one of the finest looking dresses I have ever seen. It was a classic black dress but the material and exquisite cutting informed me that the dress was anything but cheap.

“You shouldn’t have… But thanks Yunho. You’re really sweet.” I couldn’t help but smiled to myself as I admired it.

We soon arrived at our destination and I got changed into the dress and heels before we entered the restaurant. It was on a tall building overlooking the scenery of Seoul along the Han River. I couldn’t help but hold my breath because this was the first time I had seen how beautiful Seoul actually was. I knew I wouldn’t have this opportunity if not for Yunho so I was extremely grateful to him. But that was all I felt for him. There wasn’t a trace bit of that weird feeling I kind of felt whenever I’m with Siwon.

Yunho was like every woman’s dream. Under his handsome, cool façade laid hidden a humorous, charismatic gentleman. He kept the conversations going throughout dinner time, never said the wrong things and made sure that I felt comfortable with him. I had a good time dining on some of the finest delicacies and laughing over some interesting stories he shared with me over glasses of wine.

By the end of the night, I knew that he was far from what I had expected him to be since our first conversation. He sent me home right after dinner because he was worried I’ll have trouble getting up for my morning shift tomorrow. He walked me right to my doorstep though I insisted otherwise and we parted with him planting a soft kiss on my forehead as I smiled shyly.

I watched as he disappeared behind the elevator and let out a small sigh. Everything had gone perfectly well, even better than I had expected it to. But it just didn’t felt right, yet.

As I stepped into the apartment I now shared with Siwon, I was greeted by the sight of him stepping out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel around his waist. His hair was still dripping wet and water droplets were still running down his neck and further down his body. Now Yuri, you shouldn’t let your thoughts run wild. Keep your eyes off those delicious looking chocolate abs!

“Yuri.”

I snapped out of my trance and my eyes quickly avoided him. I hastily took off my heels and tossed them aside. Oh crap, I should take extra care of them since they cost a fortune.

“Siwon!” I called his name and acted as though I was delightfully surprised to see him. I think I sounded a little too joyful.

“I’m sorry Yuri, I didn’t think you were going to come back anytime soon and I thought I could make a quick run for my room. I’m sorry if this made you feel uncomfortable.”

I was far from being comfortable. My heart was beating so fast I thought I could get a heart attack! Oh my God, keep your eyes away from him and you’ll be back to normal! You should not be looking at him any longer because you might not be able to control yourself.

But how could I resist sneaking another glance at his hot body? Just as I was about to look at him again, he had disappeared into his room behind closed doors.

I quickly regained my composure, taking into quick deep breaths to calm myself down. I headed to the kitchen to get a glass of water. While I was gulping down the water like I haven’t drank anything for days, Siwon stepped out of his room dressed in proper clothing.

“Wow, you seem very thirsty! How was the date?” He asked nonchalantly as he took a seat on the bar stool beside where I stood.

A perfect grin appeared on my face. “Great!”

“He got you a really nice outfit. You look… very beautiful.”

He complimented me. I started to feel a little dizzy. Looking down at my outfit, I smiled and thought about how great I looked. I was happy to show him this glamorous side of me.

“So, do you like him now? You seem pretty over the moon since you came back. And don’t think I didn’t see those red flushes on your cheeks when you stepped into the house!” He interrogated me playful before placing his arm around my shoulder casually like in a buddy kind of way.

That’s when I started freaking out again. I think I did sort of like Yunho because he was nice, gentlemanly, intelligent and charming. But I was flushing red not because of him, but because of you! Choi Siwon, you shouldn’t have stepped out of the shower only with a towel around your waist looking like God’s gift to women.

I was lost for words. I wasn’t going to tell him the truth so I had to come out with a lie.

“I… Maybe I had too much alcohol.”

I felt my body temperature rising again now that he was standing so close to me that I could almost feel his breath. Even though he wasn’t shirtless and oh-so-y anymore, I still couldn’t shake away this weird feeling in me.

“I need more water.”

I poured myself another glass of water and gulped it down before setting the glass back on the table.

“Alright, you better take a bath and get to bed! We need to work tomorrow. Good night Yuri.”

“Good night Siwon.”

I heaved a sigh of relief when he was back in his room.  I couldn’t shake off the weird feeling in me even when I was tugged into my bed snuggly. I picked up Blue and planted a kiss on him.

“Why am I feeing this way about Siwon? Please help me, Blue…”

I had a lovely dream the whole night that I was a princess living in a castle with my prince charming. Unfortunately, I couldn’t actually see who he was but being with him just felt so right. That was my happy ever after.

I followed Siwon to the café with a smile creeping up on my face every now and then. That didn’t escape his eagle eyes.

“Why do you keep smiling to yourself, Yuri? Are you still thinking of Yunho?” He asked chirpily. He normally wasn’t in such a good mood so early in the morning but today he sounded especially energetic and cheerful.

I shook my head and giggled. “No, I had a sweet dream that I can’t get out of my head. You must think I’m so silly. It’s just a dream anyway.”

It was his turn to shake his head and laugh. “You’ll probably laugh at me if I told you this but I had a wonderful dream too. I dreamt of a happy ever after with my princess. It sounds foolish because I don’t even have a girlfriend or am getting close to having one.”

I stopped in my tracks and looked at him. This was too much of a coincidence, was it? Having the same dream, on the same night?

“Well, did you see how your princess looked like?”

His eyes darted around as he tried to get some words out of his mouth. “Not… exactly. But I… kind of think I know who she is.”

“Oh you do?”

“Yes… Yuri, I…”

He placed both his hands into his pocket and looked at the ground. I stood there motionlessly as I waited to hear what he had to say.

But instead I heard Sooyoung calling our names from a distance.

“Siwon! Yuri! Why are you two standing outside of the café? We need to open it!”

Snapping out of his trance, Siwon rushed towards the café door and opened the locks. I watched his back and unknowingly let out a sigh.

Were you really hoping he was going to say your name, you silly girl? Maybe it could be Yoona or some other girl you don’t know about. He wouldn’t like you. If he did, he wouldn’t seem so happy for you that you went out with some other guy.

Foolish Yuri! You’re a fool!
