*Myungduk Foreign Language High School's guidance councilor, Mr. Im had his eyes fixated on the boy that was occupying the seat in front of him. How the boy looked at him mindlessly triggered a vein to pop out of his temples. It was as if the insolent boy was staring at a void, uninterested and bored. Mr. Im was supposed to be used to having him in his office, but no matter how many times this situation had occurred in the past years, the older man can't help not to be annoyed. He was silently wishing that the troublemaker would be kicked out in no time but to his dismay, the usual verdict was given to the boy, a week of detention.

“Luhan... I swear, if this happens again you'll be kicked out for sure.” The older man adjusted his thick rimmed glasses and reprimanded Luhan, giving him a slight look of disapproval.

On the other hand, Luhan didn't seem to mind the threat. In fact, he wanted to scoff and probably start laughing at the ridiculous idea of him getting expelled. True, the idea was never impossible but being one of the top students in the whole school, he was so sure that the higher ranking officials wouldn't dare kick him out because they need him.

The afternoon heat didn't do much justice to his already battered well being and the thought that he has still yet to venture the depths of hell had him cringing on his seat. His mom had taken the earliest break from her work just to save his out of the guidance office. Now, he was in his mother's car, going nowhere in particular.

He had heard enough from Mr. Im, or so he pretended to hear out every word that the old man had uttered, having her mother repeat the same dialogue all over again annoyed the living daylights out of him.

"Luhan... can you not really hold back your temper?" The scowl on her face emphasized the wrinkles on her eyes and around the corner of her lips. She was looking ahead, eyes were on the road but she could feel that her son wasn't even paying attention. A sigh escaped her thin lips, she knew that it was also her fault that this happened. Her kid wouldn't be like this if she didn't leave him to his father's care, but she could not fight for her own rights when her in-law's stepped in.

A week after, prior to eventful day. Luhan found himself dragging a big suit case out of their house and into the porch where his mother's car was parked. The time of the year that he dreaded the most had arrived without him noticing. Perhaps it was the detention and the extra activities that had occupied his time, thus, forgetting the punishment he had to deal with for the entire summer. His parents, mostly her mother has grilled this thing... every year, deciding that a trip away from home would be the best for Luhan to reflect on the things he did during the previous semester. But never once did it become successful. Each year, trouble always finds Luhan or so the other way around.

He could not really blame his mom. He was at fault and this conclusion was bound to happen anyway. He is a troublemaker, and he did slash another good reputation out of their family's name, if they have one in the first place. Being a member of a broken family had him thinking twice. From the start, the family he belongs to never had any good reputation, and people around them would have expected this turn out, knowing well that in a family like his, one was bound to rebel and he didn't disappoint them.

Not wanting to meet any member of his 'family' before leaving, he opted to stay outside and leisurely sat on the bench situated at the porch. His hand found its way to the healing bruise at the corner of his lips, patched with a cute plaster that his mother had successfully placed while he was sleeping earlier when she arrived. He was contemplating on whether to pull it out or to let it settled there in the mean time.

Chapter 31: AAWWW, i really really REALLY like it when luhan said that he would feel everything for her, the he'll tell her how it felt! It's like, best part. Why am i telling this? Dunno, maybe because dora asked which one is my fav part?

Nonetheless, this is beautiful.
