In Irrationality and Lost Warmth

In Moiety and Red Strings (to be reposted)

Hello!

This is the next part of the earlier chapter. This is my longest chapter to date (and I'm proud of it!)

So, here are the regular disclaimers:

1.) The only things that are in my possession in regards to this story are the fictional characters, the plotline, and my brain which spewed out the last thosand words in less than 30mins. The computer on which this chapter was typed on isn't even mine. *gets bricked*

2.) The Idols here belong to their respective entertainment agencies (SMEnt.)

3.) English is not my native language so grammatical errors are expected.

4.) Slight swearing.

P.S. ILiveForJongwoon, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR VOTING! *hugs* *kisses* *cookies* *pies* *FOOD FIIIIIGHT*

P.P.S. Happy New Year from the Philippines!! (Chapter published: Dec. 30, 2013 11:30pm P.S.T.)

Akira

The warm and bright ray of sunshine filtering through his window was what woke Kyuhyun up the next morning. Stretching his arms while cursing the one who put the bed where it was, he was shocked when he saw the blinking 9:15AM in his phone.

! I’m going to be late!

Unlike what he was feeling the previous night, what he was feeling right now was weird. After flying through his early morning routine, he was on a cab on his way to the train station but his mind was somewhere else. The gut churning feeling from earlier were now full blown butterflies in his stomach which were apparently having a party inside. There are only a few things that make Cho Kyuhyun nervous.  One was going out in a crowded place, unprotected. Another was his plans not going the way he wants to be. The third one was the reason why his palms are sweating like crazy, worse than his nerves before a concert; He realized it was like he was going on a date with Jongwoon.

He was rarely late for anything. Being an idol and tight schedules, he’s had a habit of being calm even if he was already late. But right now, he was freaking out because of the traffic jam that he was caught on and the time on his phone was blinking 9:58AM; nervously checking it every five seconds and hoping that the time he saw was wrong only to find out that another minute has passed. He wanted to throw his phone at what was causing the traffic and he was muttering profanities at everything that he set his eyes on; the huge car beside his cab that was reflecting the sunlight to his face, the rows of vehicles behind him that were blowing their horns; his phone because it kept reminding him that he was late, and even the sky just because of the reason that it was too blue. His irritation subsided when the cab driver informed him that they have arrived at the train station.

When he realized that he has arrived, his irritation returned to being the hordes of butterflies that were pestering him earlier. With his phone blinking 10:20AM, He was scared because he’s kept Jongwoon waiting. It was then when he saw his hyung sitting by the tables outside the coffee shop. Leaning in his chair and arms crossed, headphones on and eyes closed, seemingly detached to the world. Taking out his disguise which consisted of a beanie, glasses and a jacket; he makes his way to his hyung.

It was while he was walking towards is hyung when he realized that this plan of his was not going to work. He was trying to catch someone he didn’t study enough; he was late for the meeting time; and he was going to search for the said someone while trying to hide himself from the throngs of people in the city while his hyung would stick out like a sore thumb for being pale, tall, and seriously attractive.

As much as he really wanted to catch that girl in the act, he decided to scrap his entire plan and just enjoy his last day in Cheonan. Though it was going to be hard to go back, he was positive that he’ll be able to do it. He scraped the metal chair to the ground to get Jongwoon’s attention. He knows that his hyung could hear him because of his sensitive hearing. Kyuhyun tried to hold in his laughter but failed when Jongwoon almost fell back from his chair because he was startled.

“Hey, hyung. Sorry I’m late.” Kyuhyun apologizes to his hyung with a wide grin.

“It’s okay. I just got here myself. Traffic was a .” Jongwoon answered much to the maknae’s relief. The two spent a few minutes talking about what they were going to do for the afternoon which consisted of exploring the marketplace, food hunting and of course shopping for the idol’s hyungs back in Seoul.

“So, what do you want to buy?” the older asked while they were walking towards the marketplace.

“I don’t really know” Kyuhyun considered buying each of his hyungs something they liked but found it too tiresome. “Food, I guess. Those beasts would eat anything, so I think that’s a good choice.”

Their ‘date’, as Kyuhyun would like to call it, was not going as smoothly as he did in his head. He forgot some important details, like the fact that they are in a very public place, and that it was a Friday so there were more people than usual. One good thing that he saw was that most of the people were old and did not recognize him. Most of the vendors the two were going through only praised them for both having nice skin and having a nice boyfriend; much to Jongwoon’s denial and the maknae’s elation. But just to be careful, the two decided to stick to the side streets and avoid the main road.

The bags that Kyuhyun was carrying were getting heavier and they were both getting tired of the constant walking. Since Jongwoon was not famous, he volunteered to go ahead as lookout for any fangirls that might cause them trouble. While Kyuhyun was walking, he saw the tense look from his hyung’s face as he was walking briskly towards him. The older grabbed the maknae by the hand and started dragging him away.

“There were a group of girls ahead. I heard one of them say that they saw you here. We should hide.” The older told Kyuhyun while gasping for breath.

They went deeper into the less populated part of the market. One stall caught Kyuhyun’s attention. The booth was as worn as the other booths in its line. It had no merchandise around it, unlike its neighbours. A bead curtain is what separated the store from the outside while purples, reds, and blues were peeking out from the inside which added intrigue. It had no sign to indicate what kind of store it was and it drew the maknae’s attention so much that he hadn’t noticed that he was going towards it until he heard his hyung’s voice calling out to him.

“Hey! I said we have to hide. Are you alright?” He asked worriedly.

The group of girls that Jongwoon was talking about earlier was forming a small crown on the street a few blocks from where they were. They were starting to make a commotion; they seem to be excited about the news that Kyuhyun was in the market, alone.

“I’m okay, hyung. This store looked weird so I went to look at it.”

“Well, those girls are getting closer. If you want to look, then let’s look inside NOW.” Jongwoon takes the maknae by the hand and pulls him into the other side.

A chime from a bell attached from the bead curtain signalled the entrance of the two. The two were awed by the look of the store from the inside, Kyuhyun especially. Even in the inside, the booth had a few merchandise, a shelf with a handful of card decks, boxes of incense, and an assortment of traditional charms. The purple, red and blue curtains that covered the walls were lined with gold thread and were glistening as if light was shining onto them. They found that the shop only had little furniture; a table; draped in black silk cloth with a pot of burning incense on top of it and two unlit candles on both sides of it. It also had three chairs; two on their side and one across it. The whole place seemed to be out of place compared to the busy stores in the market because of the calming atmosphere it has. The curtain in the back of the room opened to reveal, much to Kyuhyun’s surprise, a familiar old lady.

“What brings you here, child?” The old lady from the train station asked.

Kyuhyun smiled because he remembered their first encounter. “We were looking for a place to hide. I’m being chased, again.”

The old lady chuckled “Ah, still running, I see. Well, you can hide here for as long as you want.” The old lady returned to the back.

“Thank you.” He bowed politely.

While the two were looking at the shelf of merchandise at the side of the room, Jongwoon asked the maknae “You were being chased? When did that happen? And how do you know that old lady?” the older couldn’t hide is curiosity.

Kyuhyun realized that he hadn’t told his hyung about how he got to the park in the first place. “Before you saw me in the park, I got chased by girls at the train station. Then again in the city when I was looking for you.” He smiled sheepishly.

The old lady came out from behind the curtains once again and checked outside the store for young girls. “There are a few girls outside but I don’t think they’re looking for anybody” she put a “CLOSED” sign over the door before closing it.

“So were you able to find that Jongwoon person you were looking for before?” she asks, making small conversation while waiting for the girls to pass the store.

Actually, that person” pointing to his hyung “was the Jongwoon that I was looking for.”

Hearing his name in the conversation, he stepped forward and introduced himself in a polite bow.

“Annyeonghaseyo. Kim Jongwoon imnida.”

Since there were only a few things in the store, it wasn’t long before an awkward kind of silence set in between the three. The two guests were standing in the middle of the room while the old lady was done wiping off the dust from the counter that she was manning.

“Aside from selling, I run a card reading booth here as well. Would you like to try?”

Thinking about possibly how long they would have to wait until the coast was clear; Kyuhyun gave it a try even if he didn’t believe in those kinds of things.  “Sure, I guess it’ll be fun.”

The old lady smiled and started everything by first making the two men sit on the chairs opposite of hers. She lit the two candles and started playing meditation music from her iPod that was plugged in to a speaker beside the table. She stood up then shut the curtains making the whole room considerably dimmer. The only source of light was the soft yellow that the candles were giving off which made the gold in the curtains glisten more; the smell of the incense and the calming music made for a more mystic atmosphere.

The old lady handed over the deck of cards to the maknae. “So, what is your question, child?”

Kyuhyun didn’t really believe in magic or the supernatural. He was an advocate of logic and science and a firm believer that everything has a reason and everything can be explained. He tried out the card reading solely for the reason of humouring himself and Jongwoon.

Kyuhyun smiled at the old lady and asked

“How do I get out of here?” Only the maknae knew the true meaning of the question.

She then told the maknae to shuffle then cut the deck and pick out three cards from anywhere in the deck and give them to her face down. She put the three cards down in a row the left being the first card picked.

“These three cards represent the past, the present, and the future of the question you asked.”

Without waiting for any response from the two, the lady flipped over the card on the left: A Two of Cups.

“So what does it say?”

The cups suite is the equivalent of the hearts suite in a normal deck of cards and they represent matters of relationships and emotions. Normally involving two people but is not limited to it. It may also signify the relationship between groups or things.

“But if we are talking about people, the two of cups suggests a relationship two people who love each other unconditionally; soulmates, for a better word.”

Kyuhyun couldn’t help but chuckle. The moment Kyuhyun heard about the card, he was reminded of Jongwoon, his soulmate; nodding his head urging the lady to continue talking about the card.

“Though this relationship is not as perfect as the one represented in the Lovers card because the relationship of the two cups can still fall apart.” The old lady added.

“Hmm…” the maknae could only hum a response because he was thinking of what was happening around him; the reason as to why Jongwoon was not part of his life anymore and why was he the only one who could remember.

“In relation with your question, since the two of cups is in the past position, it means that before you came here, you were in a very harmonious relationship with somebody, a girl?” the old lady asked, offhandedly.

“No, it’s a boy.” Kyuhyun’s reply came as a shock not to the old lady who just smiled at the maknae but to Jongwoon who was surprised that the idol liked guys.

“I didn’t know you swing that way.” Jongwoon asked, slightly elbowing the maknae’s rib.

“Well, you didn’t ask, hyung. Please continue.” Kyuhyun simply replied and told the lady to continue.

The old lady chuckled and continued with her reading. She flipped the card in the middle: Death. Kyuhyun visibly tensed as he looked at the card. Reminded of his accident years ago that almost took his life. Kyuhyun kept staring at the scythe holding skeleton donned in black which seemed to be smiling at him. He snapped out of it when he felt a comforting squeeze on his shoulders from his hyung, who was smiling.

“It never means physical death, right?” Jongwoon asked the old lady for Kyuhyun.

“Of course it doesn’t, child. “Similar to how the river flows into the sea only to rise to the clouds and once again fall onto the land. This card represents a journey of change of which you should embrace.”  The old lady smiled at the two and Kyuhyun relaxed.

“Taking the card for its face value is irresponsible for both the reader and the seeker. Death is only feared for it is the unknown. But what most do not realize, Death is only the transition to the next life. Death is rarely a card of physical death—but transformation.” She added.

The old lady looked at the two people in front of her and smiled to herself. She could see the concern of the older with the way he has his hands on the younger’s shoulder. She then proceeded to flip the third card. Kyuhyun was puzzled when he saw the card: The Moon, but it was upside down.

“Here is the answer to your question, child.”

“The Moon? What am I supposed to do with the moon?”

“The moon signifies deception and illusions. Like how the moon shines but does not have its own light. The moon signifies a journey in the dark; a journey where you will always be uncertain of the path that you will be taking.”

“So how do I go through if I can’t see anything?” Kyuhyun was surprised that he really believed her words, though he didn’t want to believe something as illogical as card readings.

“Use the light within you, child.” Kyuhyun rolled his eyes so hard at the cheesy cliché statement that he saw his brain.

“I saw that. I meant use your intuition to distinguish deception from reality.” The old lady deadpans which made Kyuhyun blush from embarrassment.

It has been a good fifteen minutes since they started the reading and he showed himself out of the store to check if the girls that were looking for his dongsaeng were still around. While he was outside, Kyuhyun was having an inner debate between actually considering that the readings may have something to them and slamming his head into the nearest wall because he sounded crazy believing in something as ridiculous as those cards. But seeing as most of what happened in the recent weeks didn’t have a logical explanation, he went with the former.

“It seems you still have questions. Would you care for another reading?” The old lady offered.

“Well, I do; a lot of them, actually. I think three cards won’t be able to answer them.”

“There are many ways of reading the cards. The three cards were the simplest.” The old lady started gathering the cards. “So, what is your question?” The lady handed over the deck to Kyuhyun.

Taking the cards, the maknae was seriously pondering on what to ask. But despite wanting specific answers, he went with another general question.

“What happens next?” Shuffling the deck after asking his question.

“Same drill, but pick seven cards instead.” The old lady instructed.

As the idol was picking the cards and handing them over to the old lady, Jongwoon came in panting. “The group of girls are still there. But I think they’ve stopped looking. But let’s stay here for a bit just to be sure.” To which the old lady agreed to. Jongwoon then left the two on their own to stand watch outside.

She arranged the cards in an upright arc and flipped the card at the centre.

Seeing the card, the old lady raised one eyebrow “The lovers, eh. This is… interesting.” The old lady muttered to herself.

“What? What is interesting? What happened?” Kyuhyun asked, excited.

“Well, the fourth card is the seeker’s attitude regarding the question. As the card shows…” pointing at the card “…it involves someone with whom you have complete devotion to, your soulmate, if we base it on the reading earlier. Mind me asking, but did you lose someone?”

“Wow. All of that from one card.” Kyuhyun was surprised at the question. He chuckled at himself because he was starting to believe that there was something to fortune telling or card reading or whatever it is that they were doing. “Actually, I did. But I found him again.” to which the lady just smiled at the maknae and flipped all the remaining cards face up.

After flipping the remaining cards, the reader stayed silent. A couple of minutes passed by with Kyuhyun only hearing “hmm…” and other sounds from the old lady. After a few minutes, the old lady looked at Kyuhyun and the idol let out a breath that he did not know he was holding.

“You, child… live a very interesting life” the old lady let out.

Kyuhyun almost laughed out loud because of that. “You have no idea.”

“Look at the cards in front of you. What do you see?” the old lady asks Kyuhyun.

“I see two knights, a king, two queens, the lovers, and the wheel of fate.” Kyuhyun answers but not really understanding what the lady asked.

“Yes. There are a lot of people in the cards.” The old lady points to the king, queen and knights. “Which means your future will mostly depend on the people around you.” Kyuhyun nodded, urging the old lady to continue.

“The Knight of swords” she points to the lower left card “is in the past event; which means that the person who signifies this card may be the source of what is happening. This card represents a person who is confident and emotionless; a person who can make difficult choices easily.” Kyuhyun notices that her expression has changed. She now wears a more worried look as compared to earlier. She continues.

“The card is in reverse. Which means this person would be someone who has made things difficult for you. Someone to watch out for because though impartial, once enraged will become your undoing.” The old lady ends in a warning tone. “But that was in the past. Whatever it is that he or she did, you have already gone through it. I just advise you to be careful.” Kyuhyun nods partly in agreement and partly because he found the reading too cliché.

“But…” She pauses. “You do have someone on your side. See this knight?” she points to the card positioned above the Knight of swords. “This is the Knight of wands. This card represents a messenger of good news; a cheerful and energetic man. He may look gruff and violent on the outside but has a warm and generous heart; the so-called knight in shining armor.”

While the reader was explaining, Kyuhyun started chuckling. “What’s the matter? Did you have somebody in mind?”

The maknae was surprised. Unlike the earlier card, he did have someone in mind for this one. The moment the old lady mentioned the words gruff and violent, Kyuhyun immediately thought of one person and one person only; Kangin, his hyung who’s always aggressive and hot headed but really a caring brother and a closet romantic.

“Actually, I did.” the maknae smiled at the old lady as she continued.

“Ah. Are you familiar with karma?” the old lady asked the maknae.

“Well, not really. Because there are a lot of people out there who get away with whatever crime they do while those who do good don’t really get anything.” The maknae answered, matter-of-factly.

“Maybe in time you will believe, child. Because this card” she points to the card above the two knights “is the embodiment of the ultimate law of the land: Justice.” She continues. “Her double edged blade does not discriminate. This card speaks of rewards and punishments. If you deserve it, it shall be given to you.”

“Hnn…” Kyuhyun was concentration on the cards that were shown to him. He is still having a hard time believing the reading but some of the things that the reader said were very on point and they sent chills down his spine. He couldn’t help but expect the things that she said would happen to really happen.

“Since this card is in the immediate future position, I believe that something will be happening soon.”

The old lady smiled at him. “And it seems you have another good person on your side.” As she points to the card on the other side. “This is the King of cups.”

“The king of cups is a person who is very kind and never judges; a wise and nurturing soul with wisdom that speaks volumes. The king of cups may represent a part of yourself or another person.” Kyuhyun was racking his head for anybody who comes close because he was definitely sure that the card is not talking about him.

“Can you tell me more about that cup king? I’m pretty sure it’s not me it’s talking about.”

“This can be someone who is calm on the on the surface but passionate deep inside; his heart has experienced the most love and pain which makes him a wise advisor and a healer of hearts. Quite opposite of the knight from earlier.” The old lady adds, pointing at the Knight of wands.

Someone who’s the complete opposite of Youngwoon-hyung?

“Ah! Yeah. There is definitely someone like that.” Kyuhyun smiled, thinking about the complete opposite of his hyung who is no other than the ever gentle Sungmin and laughing at the thought that even in his fortune, the two still managed to appear together. But seeing his two hyungs in the reading made him wary of the card from earlier.

Though still doubtful, the idol was slowly starting to believe the reading; considering that most of what the old lady said was correct. He was pondering on whom was the person being talked about by the other card. Kyuhyun was lost in his thoughts when he heard the old lady mutter something which made Kyuhyun snap out of his thoughts and pay attention to her once more.

“Your card reading is much like those noontime soap operas.” The old lady chuckled.

“This is a reversed queen of swords.” She points to the card below the king of cups. “If this embodies a person, then you should be wary of her.” She warningly states. “A valuable ally but a vicious enemy. This person has insight as sharp as her blade. She might seem stoic at the surface but her emotions blind her judgement.”

“Why should I look out for that card? Is she going to do something to me?” Kyuhyun was puzzled and at the same time worried because of the seriousness etched in the old lady’s face.

“I do not know her, child. She may not even be a she, or a person for that matter. But I say you should watch out for this character because the card is upside down and more so because the card itself is in the obstacle position.” The old lady explains. “Though this may not be the case, I still advise you to be careful.”

Someone confident and emotionless and somebody smart and stoic?

“Wait, the queen card and the other knight. Are they people that I know?” the maknae asked.

“Well, normally, when court cards appear, they represent a part of yourself or another person. If it doesn’t pertain to you, then most likely it is someone close or closely involved with the question.” She answers.

Kyuhyun was trying hard to look for any person who could fit the bill for the earlier cards. Even though he is famous and knows a lot of people, he does not know them well enough to know their personality. As for the few people he has close bonds with, he couldn’t imagine anything that he has done to be careful around those people. He pinched the bridge of his nose because of the headache that he feels he is going to have.

“This card is the answer to your question.” Pointing to the card below the queen. “This is the wheel of fortune.”

Kyuhyun didn’t know what to make of the last card. He was familiar with the wheel of fortune. It is a luck-based game much like roulette. But from what he has seen from the other cards, there was more than that card that meets the eye.

“Well, seeing from the other cards, I’m guessing it’s not about luck?” the maknae asked, puzzled.

“Very good, child. What made you think that?” The old lady was amused because Kyuhyun was showing interest in her reading unlike earlier.

“Well, aside from the cards with people in it, they always mean something deeper than what they are normally seen as. Like the cups which tell about lovers, the moon which tell about illusions and the death card from earlier which meant change.” The idol answered.

“Well, you are correct that it doesn’t talk about luck. The wheel of fortune is also a card of change but unlike the other cards that mean the same, like your death card earlier, the change that this card brings is of a different kind.”

“What does ‘different’ mean?”

“It is change brought on by destiny and fate. Like the raging sea, if you try to contain it, you will get crushed.”

“So, you’re saying I can’t do anything about it.”

“Exactly.” She said with a toothy smile while standing up and disappearing behind the bead curtain behind the counter.

Well that .

With the old lady out of the room and Jongwoon standing guard outside, Kyuhyun was left thinking about everything he has been told. When he did the first reading, he initially though that everything that the old lady said was purely through deduction, or utter bull. But when he did the second reading and she mentioned people that closely described his hyungs, he started to reconsider. Normally he was a man of logic and reason. But with everything that was happening around him recently, he is starting to come to terms with irrationality.

While brooding, he did not notice that his hyung was already beside him and that the old lady was back in the room. It seems like the girls have gone to the other side of the marketplace. To be sure, the old lady brought them to the backroom where she led them out to the other side of the shop farther away from the main road. But stopped the maknae and let Jongwoon ahead to tell him something.

She looks straight into his eyes. “The universe has separated you two once. But here you both are before us. Dire days are ahead, child. Prove to us that you two are truly destined for each other.” The old lady tells Kyuhyun after disappearing into the crowd, leaving him stunned.

“What?” Kyuhyun’s mind blanked for a few seconds and the moment he got back, he tried to stop the old lady. But to his surprise, she was already far away from him. “Wait!”

A number of things were running through his mind. One was what did she mean by what she said. Another is that she definitely knows something. Third and most importantly, how was she able to get far away that fast. He needed to catch up to the old lady. Those words definitely meant something and he will find it out. The way they were said sent an eerie feeling in his gut. Something was amiss. He didn’t know what to make of her words. But one thing was clear.

He has been warned.

Kyuhyun tried to run as fast as he could. But much to his dismay, it was useless. He was panting when he felt a hand grab his arm. It was Jongwoon. He was also panting because he immediately ran for the maknae when he heard him shout; thinking that he might’ve been in trouble.

“Yah! What happened?” The older worriedly asked.

Kyuhyun wanted to tell his hyung everything. But even he knows how crazy he sounds. So he decides to hid it to himself for the time being.

“I forgot to pay the old lady. I wanted to catch up to her but she disappeared.” Kyuhyun answered.; remembering that he did forget to pay her.

The two were walking out of the market when they heard a familiar voice.

“Oppa?”

“Hyorin-ah!” Jongwoon said; surprised that he came across his girlfriend.

Kyuhyun went wide eyed when he saw Hyorin and the guy she was cheating with. He was more shocked when said guy was acting friendly with Jongwoon. He was introduced to the guy and found out that he was Hyorin’s cousin. Waves of rage were overwhelming him not only because of the blatant lie, but also because they were lying to Jongwoon’s face, which to Kyuhyun was unforgivable.

Hah! Cousins? you both. Cousins don’t kiss like that.

The two didn’t stay long. After walking together until they reached the outskirts of the market, they cut their meeting short because the Hyorin and her ‘cousin’ were heading down to the theatre for a movie while Jongwoon and Kyuhyun still had lots of things to shop for. If he was trying to hold his anger when he found out that the two were acting, he almost snapped when he saw Hyorin kiss Jongwoon.

And Jongwoon let her.

And the guy glared at Jongwoon.

Seeing it once almost made him break down. Seeing it again made him numb. He wanted the ground to open up and swallow him whole. The only consolation that he had here was that the guy seemed to also disapprove of them acting as cousins seeing from the glare he was throwing at Jongwoon.

This has got to stop.

When the two left for their own devices, Kyuhyun was left rooted on the spot while Jongwoon was typing something on his mobile. A cheesy message, it seemed. He wanted to break the news to his hyung so badly but he didn’t know how to do it. He noticed his hyung calling out to him and he realized that there was no other way to do this. He just prayed that it will come out okay. He didn’t even wait for his hyung to speak.

“Do you really believe those two?” the idol muttered darkly.

“Huh? What did you mean” Jongwoon was puzzled as to what the younger was saying.

“I said do you really believe that those two are cousins” Kyuhyun reiterated, making air quote gestures with his fingers.

“Yes I do. What are you on about, Kyuhyun?” Jongwoon was getting serious. The tension in air around them was becoming thicker by the second.

“Please, spare me hyung. They’re lying and you know it.” Kyuhyun said flatly.

Kyuhyun was waiting for the older’s retort and was getting ready with a response of his own. Weirdly, there was an awkward silence between the two instead of words and reasons being thrown at each other like he was expecting. When he saw his hyung’s expression, his knees almost buckled.

Kim Jongwoon stepping closer towards him and was glaring at him with eyes that could burn him to the ground. Kyuhyun was scared. He has never seen his hyung look at anyone like that.  He seriously considered stepping back and running away. But reminding himself that it had to be done for Jongwoon’s sake, he decided to hold his ground.

“Are you telling me that my girlfriend of almost three years is cheating on me?” Jongwoon hissed.

“Yes.” Kyuhyun gulped; his voice not allowing him to give anything more than one word answers.

“I am going to give you one chance to tell me why the absolute should I believe you.” Jongwoon’s anger making it sound more of a threat.

This is my last chance. Kyuhyun thought. What he will say here might possibly destroy everything he has believed in. His choice of words is the only thing between Jongwoon believing in him and Jongwoon hating him forever. He went with what he had in mind the whole time.

“Because I love you.” Kyuhyun looked down to the ground. The next thing he heard broke his heart more than when he saw Jongwoon kissing someone else other than him.

“Goodbye, Kyuhyun-sshi.” Jongwoon's cold voice resounding in his brain.

Chapter 10: Does anyone know when Sungmin is leaving for the army? I also heard that EunHae were leaving as well. Also, I know that this is a mainly YeKyu/KyuSung fic but I wish that you could have a side chapter on how KangMin started dating and their last weeks together before Sungmin left.
