Enjoy,

Everyone was checking him for everything; from if he had anywhere to stay once he was there to if he brought extra underwear. A part of him was touched because his hyungs were so caring but another part of him was annoyed because they were so fussy.

“Yeah, I have everything ready. I didn’t know I had so many moms.” Kyuhyun commented amidst all the fussing of his band mates over him.

“Oh, no. You only have one umma; call us your loving hyungs.” Donghae said with a smirk and a smack to the maknae’s .

“Don’t get used to this, though. Once you’re back to normal, then we’re going to have our payback.” Hyukjae added with an evil smirk.

“Then I’ll look forward to that. I’m off!”

After a few minutes, the maknae came back to the dorms with pink slightly dusting his cheeks.

“Does anyone know what to ride to get to Cheonan?”

The maknae only blushed harder when everyone laughed.

After finding out that getting to Cheonan only takes a train ride, Kyuhyun thought that finding Jongwoon will be way easier. That is, until he actually got into the station.

The train station was as full as their SM Town concerts.

Full of people

Full of girls

Full of fangirls

And he sticks out like a sore thumb because of his shades, hat and scarf.

Kyuhyun was totally unprepared for what was happening. Waiting in the long line for the train ticket was scary. Any minute someone might recognize him and might make a scene. At least he can still get away. But how about in the train, where there’s no escape. He’s doomed. But he thought of an idea which involved the washroom.

When he came out, he just waited on the ticket line and to his amazement, nobody recognized him. He praised himself for even thinking about ditching the hat and settling for a beanie, wearing eyeglasses, and washing off his makeup. The book on hand is a nice touch to avoid eye contact. He was going to survive the train ride.

Getting into the train was smooth. But he realized that he had a bigger chance of being seen here because he was going to stay there for at least an hour. He looks at his surroundings for a place to hide. Finding none, he just reads his book hoping that he gets to Cheonan before he finishes it. After half an hour the train starts to slow down.

“Good Afternoon, the train has stopped due to a technical malfunction; please remain on your seats until the problem has been addressed. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.”

.

It was one thing to wait for an uncertain amount of time for the train to be fixed. It was another to wait for it with all these people, who apparently were as bored as him, which decided to check out the other passengers. He may be unrecognizable at first glance, but he’ll definitely be recognized if someone looks at him long enough.

Worst of all, he has no escape.

It’s been twenty minutes since the train stopped and it doesn’t show any signs of being fixed yet. The other passengers were either minding their own business or chatting with other passengers to pass the time. But there was this small group of girls that had him on edge. They are the typical group of girls, chatty, loud, and bubbly. But what had him on edge was he was the girls were looking at him time and time again and he was overhearing words about Super Junior, his band mates, their concert; and of course, his name. He was getting more uncomfortable by the second. He was praying to God that the train would be fixed soon so he could get to Cheonan.

His phone rings. Loud.

He is panicking because everyone was looking at his direction as he rejects the call; afterwards going back to what they were doing. Kyuhyun was freaking out inside and his hands were shaking. His alarm went into red alert when he overheard one of the girls say:

“Hey, doesn’t that guy look like Kyuhyun-oppa?”

What saved the maknae from the potential nervous breakdown was the old lady seated beside him. She gently poked at his arms and smiled at him; asking him if he was okay. He smiled at the lady and assured her that he was fine. They got into a conversation because the old lady was bored they shared some stories and before they knew it, the train was running again. But the problem was the girls from before were burning a hole through him with the way they were intently staring at him and were alarmingly getting closer to their seats. Still talking about how he looks like Cho Kyuhyun from Super Junior.

His phone rang again because he forgot to put it in silent mode.

“Jongwoon-ah. Could you please text your mother to stop calling. Your battery might run out if she keeps on calling you.” The old lady beside him tells him a little too loudly. Enough for the girls to hear them.

“Nah. It can’t be. Kyu-oppa wouldn’t take the train. They just look alike. They have their own vans. But it would be nice if they did.” The other girl sighed.

Kyuhyun was shocked at what the lady called him. He could only smile and softly say his thanks at the lady who saved his from potential fangirls who no longer suspected him. They only saw a boy which amazingly looks like Cho Kyuhyun.

He finally arrived at Cheonan after an hour of the train ride. He thanked the old lady who helped him by treating her to lunch.

“Thank you for helping me back then. But how did you know I needed help?” Kyuhyun asks.

“You looked like you needed it, child. It’s like you were going to faint if those girls got closer.” She chuckles.

“My granddaughters love you and your group, by the way.” The old lady adds after sipping her tea.

“Oh, so you do know who I was. Thank you very much again for saving me.” Kyuhyun bows down.

“Oh heavens, it’s okay. Have a safe trip. Thank you for the treat.” The old lady happily says as she goes her own way.

As his savior was leaving; he suddenly remembered a question he’d been meaning to ask since the train ride.

“Wait!”

“Why, my dear?”  She asked; surprised.

“Before, when we were in the train, why did you call me Jongwoon?”

“I don’t know, really. It’s the first name that came to mind when I looked at you. You must be thinking about that name a lot.” She smiles to the maknae and walks away.

“Oh, Okay. Thank you and take care.” Kyuhyun was still doubtful but couldn’t hide his amazement as to why everybody seems to be able to read minds lately.

After separating with the old lady, he came across the group of girls once more. But now the said group was staring at him with wide eyes. Then he realized one important thing. He forgot to wear his beanie and glasses.

“Wow. It is him.” One of the girls said, dumbstruck.

He had to run. Fast.

“KYAAAAH!! KYUHYUN-OPPA! OPPA!!”

There were only a few things that Kyuhyun would admit to himself that what he did was stupid; and going to an unfamiliar place without anyone with him was definitely a contender for number one. He was mentally berating himself for being so stupid while he was running from the screaming girls that were chasing him down which unfortunately were causing ruckus and gathering more attention. Before he knew it, a big group of girls were already chasing him around the train station. He tried running in circles to tire out the girls chasing him but in the end he was the one who became exhausted. Out of desperation, he tried hiding in a hidden corner to lose them and to get a breather. Weirdly, it worked.

A few minutes have passed when he remembered that someone was trying to call him back at the train. When he looked at his call log, he saw Ryeowook’s number and it said that he called ten times. Half of him was annoyed because that phone call was one of the reasons he got mobbed but the other half was worried because something must’ve happened for the eternal maknae to call that many times.

“Annyeong! So how’s Cheonan treating you?” came the cheerful voice of the eternal maknae.

“I’m fine. Is that the only reason why you were calling me before?”

“Is it such a crime for me to check up on our maknae?” Ryeowook feigns hurt.

After telling Ryeowook what happened, and finding out that he was on loudspeaker, Kyuhyun could only glare at his phone while hearing the laughs of his hyungs coming from it. Feeling annoyed, the maknae hangs up. After putting back on his disguise, he was walking down the hall of the train station when his phone rings again. He scoffs when he sees Ryeowook’s number on his screen.

“What is it again, hyung?” Kyuhyun answers voice laced with annoyance.

“Haha! Relax Kyu. We were just worried.” says Ryeowook.

“I had a rough train ride and you were all laughing at me. How could you expect me to be relax?” Kyu retorts, voice still sounding more annoyed by the second.

“Okay, fine. I’m sorry. But I think you should go home for now.” Ryeowook’s tone changing from amusement to worry.

“I’m already here, why would I go back now?” Kyuhyun, puzzled as to why his hyung sounded worried.

“There is a typhoon warning in Cheonan right now. We just saw it in the news.”

He didn’t even hear his hyung’s words. He instinctively closed his eyes as he saw the blinding flash of lightning and the loud boom of thunder that came rolling after. The scene before him was enough to explain why they’re so worried about him. Dark clouds were hovering over the city, violent winds were making the trees across the street sway, and torrential rains were pelting the streets.

Kyuhyun had a lot of things with him, but somehow he forgot his umbrella.

“Aish. Why is this happening to me?” Kyuhyun softly mutters to himself while inwardly wanting to tear out his hair.

Despite the pleas of his hyungs back in Seoul, and there being a typhoon, Kyuhyun still decided to set out to Cheonan. He believed that no matter how much the rain poured, it’ll eventually stop. He spent his time looking out the streets, eyes following what it could catch. His mind wandering but all of his thoughts were leading back to Jongwoon.

After a while of staring off into nowhere, he noticed that the torrent earlier has weakened. The sky is not as dark as it was before but it was still raining. He decided to start searching. His first stop was the home address provided by the file given to him. After much difficulty hailing a taxi in the rain, he got to the address after half an hour.

Only to find out that they moved out a year ago.

The Kim family moved out of the place because they decided to open a café at the other side of town. They happened to live there as well. Kyuhyun was relieved; at least he had somewhere to go to. When he got to the coffee shop, he had no idea what to do next. All he knew was he shouldn’t stay there for too long because people might see him. Not because he was from Super Junior but because he looks like a stalker.

Deep down Kyuhyun was getting frustrated. He came from Seoul and got mobbed on the way, he’s worried because there is a freak storm coming and he’s miles away from home searching for the love of his life that suddenly disappeared. Despite all that’s happened, thinking about Jongwoon made his frustrations melt away. Just remembering his eyes, his voice, his smile, and even his smell made him forget why he was feeling bad in the first place.

His daydream was interrupted when he heard a bell chime and when he saw a familiar mop of brown hair passing right in front of him. His eyes widened and his heart started to beat faster all of a sudden. He could only stare at the familiar figure of Kim Jongwoon as he was walking down the street.

The effect of that small encounter was that his breath got caught in his throat and his mind went numb. He took a few minutes to let it sink in that he has at last seen Yesung and a few more minutes to stare lovingly at the figure of his lover. He only got back to his senses when he realized that his lover had already turned into the corner and has disappeared from sight which made the maknae spring into action, albeit a little bit dazed.

As he got to the corner, Kyuhyun saw him again and was now following him from a distance, still careful not to get attention from the people. As he was following Yesung, he couldn’t help but notice the little changes that happened when Jongwoon didn’t debut as a singer. Physically, he was still the same sans the brightly dyed and styled hair. But something felt wrong.

It’s been ten minutes since he started trailing Jongwoon and the weird feeling in his gut never left him. Thinking about Yesung while looking closer at the person he was following made him realize that they were very different.  The way he slouches when he walks and his aura that doesn’t feel weird anymore nags at him saying that the person is following was the wrong person. He couldn’t even come close enough to hear his voice without risking being exposed.

While quietly stalking/following Yesung, he contemplated on how lucky he’s been since he left the house. The whole time since he left the café, he couldn’t shake off the feeling the he himself was being followed. The suspicion was only affirmed when he heard a hushed chuckle coming from the corner behind him. He stared at the corner for some time and eventually saw two heads peeking from it. He resigned himself to facing the two girls instead of running away.

“Hello, what can I do for you?” Kyu asks the two with his trained smile.

“Oppa, can we have a picture please?” One of the girls shyly said.

“Sure but promise me you won’t tell anyone you saw me here, okay?” Kyuhyun obliges.

The thoughts “It’s just a picture, and it’s just two girls. I can get through this quietly… I hope.” were left unsaid.

He should’ve known that taking the picture with those girls will seal his fate. A few minutes after he parted ways with the two girls, three more girls were running down the street towards his direction. He tried to hide but the moment his eyes met those girls’, he knew escape was meaningless. And unlike the two girls from earlier, this group was loud. They shook his hand and asked to take pictures. They also wanted an autograph from him. As he was signing their notebooks, he saw a bigger group of girls approaching him. The same moment, the person he was trailing for the past ten minutes turned around and revealed that he was not Yesung.

JUST. ING. PERFECT. He mentally swore.

“Sorry but I’ve really got to go.” Not wasting any more time. He quickly signed off the last notebook and ran away.

The next thing he knew, he was being chased down the road by a small group of ten girls. His thoughts were torn about getting away and getting lost. But at the moment, the desire to not be chased down by fangirls was very prominent. It felt like he was back at the train station but it was easier to shake off his pursuers. He was running for a good ten minutes and was gasping for air when the adrenaline rush wore off. He was relieved because none of the girls were able to catch up with him.

“Damn. Where is this again?” the maknae asks aloud.

Because of the adrenaline rush and his drive to escape, he didn’t even care to remember where he came from. He just ran blindly and turned at every corner that he could to escape; and now he was lost. He was at a neighbourhood that could stretch for miles. He was already feeling dizzy from overexertion and he needed somewhere to rest.

God, could this get any worse?

The moment he thought of it, he felt small drops of rain in his face eventually getting bigger. The drizzle that he felt moment ago has now become a full on torrent.

Apparently it can.

Kyuhyun was dizzy, lost and tired; and now he’s wet. But he could only laugh. He was laughing because it was the only thing he could do and it was much better that the other thing that he wanted to do which was pull out his hair while screaming expletives that will put sailors to shame.

After venting out his frustration while being pelted by the still pouring rain, he was able to find a deserted children’s playground after the next corner and decided that he’ll wait there until the rain stops. He didn’t count on anyone discovering him there because no one in their right mind would go to a playground in this rain.

After a few minutes, he heard footsteps, an umbrella being closed, and a very familiar voice.

“Nice weather we’re having, huh?”

The familiar husky voice said; giving Kyuhyun more goosebumps aside from those that he already has because of his soaked clothes. Despite being tired, he still searched for the source of that familiar voice smiling at the face Kim Jongwoon.

“Hey? Are you alright? Of course you’re not. You are so pale.” Yesung says as he puts his hand on the maknae’s forehead.

The last thing he remembers before blacking out was his lover’s voice telling him to hold on while carrying him on his shoulders.

Chapter 10: Does anyone know when Sungmin is leaving for the army? I also heard that EunHae were leaving as well. Also, I know that this is a mainly YeKyu/KyuSung fic but I wish that you could have a side chapter on how KangMin started dating and their last weeks together before Sungmin left.
