In Moiety and Red Strings (to be reposted)

Hey! I'm back! :D

This chapter revolves around our favorite evil giraffe. I was writing the continuation of the last chapter when I realized that I forgot to write this. HAHAHA!

So enjoy this littlt tidbit for a while.

The next chapter is coming up next week. Promise. ;)

Warning: possible typos and grammatical errors.

Here you go! :D

Ciao,

“Does anyone know what to ride to get to Cheonan?” the maknae asks timidly when he came back after a few minutes.

Everyone tried their best to hold their laugh but miserably failed. Everyone found it adorable. It was part of the maknae’s charm that he has his “innocently dumb” moments despite being rational and manipulative most of the time. Ryeowook, on the other hand, was comforted to some extent because there was a chance of the maknae not going through with his plan. Knowing Kyuhyun, he is the type of person who only does things when he is one hundred percent sure that he is going to succeed.

“You were leaving without knowing how to get there? Wow, that’s a first.” Heechul chides the maknae.

“Sorry, I got excited. So sue me.” Kyuhyun cheekily retorts.

“Well look who’s got his spunk back? All you have to do is take the train. Now go away already.” The oldest of the boys scoffs and waves him off.

“Okay, thanks hyung, I’m off now, for real.” The maknae runs off to the elevator.

It’s been almost an hour since the maknae left. Going by estimation, the maknae should almost be in Cheonan. Ryeowook kept reminding himself that there is only a slim chance of the maknae finding Yesung and that he’d have to go through the whole city with just a piece of paper to go by. He kept checking his phone to see if the maknae would call asking to pick him up somewhere. He also kept looking at the door hoping that he changed his mind about the whole thing.

“He’s fine... He’s going to come back... He has to come back...”

Those statements were becoming a mantra for him. Not even hearing what the TV in front of him was saying.

“You’re worrying about your little boyfriend too much. Relaaaaaax.” Sungmin drawled the last part, teasing his dongsaeng.

“What the hell hyung? No, I wasn’t worried about him. Like what am I, his mother?” Ryeowook answers too intensely.

“Okay, okay. I was just kidding. But really, you look like you committed a crime or something. Relax. I can see your frown marks from here.” Sungmin tries to calm the younger with a bright smile.

Though everyone has calmed down because of the maknae’s recovery, Sungmin was still observant enough to notice that it was not only Kyuhyun who was acting weird. He’s been also watching Ryeowook because he was the most affected of Kyuhyun’s several breakdowns, other than himself, of course. He knows what Ryeowook was going through because, like the younger, he himself is also protective of Kyuhyun and that he’s also worried. He just makes sure not to show it too much.

“Hyung, are you sure he’s going to be okay?” The eternal maknae suddenly asks.

Though Sungmin was worried for Kyuhyun, perhaps even more worried than Ryeowook. He decided to put his faith in the maknae. He believes that the only person who could help Kyuhyun the most was Kyuhyun himself. So despite his reservations, he could only let the maknae go.

“Honestly, I don’t know. But I had to let him go. He had that look in his eyes.”  Sungmin softly says while looking out the window.

“What look?” Ryeowook asked; surprised at the sudden lack of confidence in his hyung’s voice.

“You know, the one he usually has when he wants something badly that he won’t stop until he gets it.” Sungmin absentmindedly smiles at the look in his dongsaeng’s face.

“Ah. Okay.” Ryeowook quietly says. Standing up and going to his room.

Sungmin’s uncertainty was definitely uncalled for. It only fuelled his want to get Kyuhyun back to the dorm as soon as possible. He thought about the things that may happen to Kyuhyun. He may be mobbed by fangirls because he went there unguarded. He might be mugged by some lunatic in the street while he was looking. Or worse, he might actually find Yesung. He had to get the maknae to go back. He might possibly put Kyuhyun in danger for doing this, but it was for his own good.

Clutching the mobile phone on his hand, he dials Kyuhyun’s number for the reason that he just wanted to check up on him. That was his original intention. But seeing the possibilities, he saw it as an opportunity to make the maknae rethink his plans. Confident that the younger will get out of his plan with little to no trouble, he puts his phone near his ear and is excitedly waiting for the maknae to answer. Hearing the voice of the maknae startled him but it was immediately replaced by disappointment when he realized that he was sent to voicemail.

“Hey! This is Kyu. I can’t answer my phone right now. I’m busy being an idol, of course. Leave a message.” The cheerful voice of the maknae resounding.

Ryeowook hangs up before hearing the beep. Pleased and worried at the same time. He was imagining how Kyuhyun would react and how he would get everyone’s attention because of his usually loud ring tone. Just to make sure, he calls one more time. Expecting the voice mailbox to come out again, he was surprised and slightly hurt that Kyuhyun actually hung up on him. In annoyance and petty retaliation, he calls ten more times until his ears became red from rearing the voice mailbox over and over again; figuring that the maknae must’ve put it on silent.

It was a little past noon when Ryeowook’s phone rang. He was starting to prepare lunch when he was surprised that Kyuhyun was calling. They were becoming  worried because it has been well over two hours since the he left the house and the train ride only takes an hour; an hour and a half at most. Ryeowook put the phone on loudspeaker so that everyone could hear.

“Annyeong! So how’s Cheonan treating you?” Ryeowook cheerfully asked the younger.

“I’m fine. Is that the only reason why you were calling me before?” The maknae asked exasperatedly while panting.

“Is it such a crime for me to check up on our maknae?” Ryeowook feigns hurt with comical hand gestures to hide that he was really hurt by the way the younger was talking to him; though he did feel guilty.

“The train broke down halfway through so we were stranded for half an hour. Then suddenly my phone decided to sing Sorry, Sorry just when everybody decided that it was time to keep quiet.” Started telling Ryeowook what happened.

Imagining the scenario made Kangin snort because of trying to stop his laughter.

“Then the freaking cheer squad near our seat decided to go hunt for fresh meat and since you called again, they noticed me and saw that I ‘looked like’ Kyuhyun-oppa.” Kyuhyun finished the last part with a shrill girly voice trying to imitate the girl he overheard.

The annoyed sound of the maknae while doing a girly voice was making Donghae and Eunhyuk clutch their stomachs because of soundless laughter.

“After the grandma saved my from being mobbed, the moment she left me the pack of wild fangirls came back and finally saw me because I forgot to hide my freakishly handsome face.”

The boys that were hearing the conversation couldn’t hold it much longer and started convulsing with laughter while rolling on the floor. Even Sungmin couldn’t hold back his laugh when he heard how the maknae was telling the story. This is when Kyuhyun discovered that he was on loudspeaker.

“Really?! Loudspeaker? Thanks, hyung.” then he hung up.

It took a few minutes for the seemingly incessant laughter to die down to chuckles. It made everyone relax because at least they were assured that the maknae was safe. But it didn’t last long. As they were still in high spirits, they saw the weather forecast in the TV which mentioned torrential rains. This alarmed the people in the dorms and they told Ryeowook to call the maknae again.

“What is it again, hyung?” Kyuhyun answers voice laced with annoyance.

“Haha! Relax Kyu. We were just worried.” Ryeowook says apologetically.

“I had a rough train ride and you were all laughing at me. How could you expect me to be relax?” Kyuhyun was sounding more annoyed.

“Okay, fine. I’m sorry. But I think you should go home for now.” Ryeowook was hoping that it would be enough to convince the maknae to come back; though he doubts that it will work.

“I’m already here, why would I go back now?” judging from the maknae’s question and the sound of a busy in the background means he has not yet left the train station which slightly comforted the older.

“There is a typhoon warning in Cheonan right now. We just saw it in the news.” Ryeowook tells him in a warning tone.

The older winced when he heard the loud boom of thunder before their conversation was cut. If Ryeowook was worried before, then right now he was totally freaking out. Different thoughts about the maknae were swirling in his mind and most of them involving something bad happening to Kyuhyun. Each scenario was playing out in his head while he was pacing back and forth in the kitchen and every one of those scenes led to one thing.

He needs to bring Kyuhyun back.

“Hey. What’s the matter? If you keep doing that you’re going to burn a hole through the rug.” the eternal maknae’s pacing caught Kangin’s attention. He wanted to comfort his friend because he is aware that Ryeowook was acting like that because of worry. He wanted to joke around to calm down the younger ‘s nerves.

“Our line was cut hyung! We have to go get him. What if something bad happens to him? What if those banshees chasing him earlier found him? What if he gets mugged there? What if he gets hit by lightning? What if it floods and he gets carried to the ocean. He has to come back. It isn’t safe there!”

Ryeowook was slowly becoming hysterical and Kangin only stared at him wide eyed. Then after a few seconds the older let out a hearty laugh and clutched his stomach because of the look on the younger’s face and the sheer irrationality of what was just said.

“Hyung! THIS IS SERIOUS!” Ryeowook almost screamed at his hyung.

“Youngwoon. Stop laughing. That isn’t nice.” Sungmin interrupted the conversation and making Kangin quiet down but he himself was still shaky because he was trying to hold down his laugh.

“Sorry for laughing. But you looked crazy earlier. I couldn’t help it.” Kangin apologizes while trying to compose himself.

“Okay Wookie, get a hold of yourself.” Sungmin puts a comforting hand on the distressed male’s back.

“But we have to go to him. He might be in trouble.” The younger was still insistent, but has considerably calmed down.

“Well, as much as I really want to go too, you might have forgotten a tiny detail. We’re as famous as him.” Sungmin was trying to reason with Ryeowook in a calm voice.

“But if we’re there we can help him or convince him to go back.” The giraffe, albeit calmer, was still trying to convince them.

“Yeah, we could do that. But what if he doesn’t want to? You know how stubborn he can get.” Sungmin chuckling at how really stubborn the maknae was; especially when he really wants something.

“Bu-b-but what if he’s in trouble?” The maknae said softly no longer trying to insist but rather out of genuine worry.

“Oh, I understand how worried you are. But you’ve got to have faith in our maknae. He’s smart. He’ll survive. He got there by himself. He can get himself out. Besides, we raised him so if someone even tries to mug him, he’ll take care of it.” Sungmin smiles when he was given a hug from behind by his grinning lover.

“Damn right he will. Now can we go back to cuddling?” Kangin assures Ryeowook and then proceeds to rest his forehead at the crook of his lover’s neck. Which turned said Sungmin’s face bright red.

“Y-ya-yah! Youngwoon-ah, not in front of the members! Seriously, what’s with you and cuddling?” Sungmin was stuttering because of embarrassment and was trying not to gasp because of the warmth breath of his lover on his neck.

“Ugh. Get a room please. No PDA in my territory… unless I said so.” Ryeowook scoffs at the two while going back to preparing lunch.

Chopping gave Ryeowook peace. The rhythmic tap of the knife to the chopping board gave him a strange sense of calm. It was like therapy for him because he had time to think about things. But despite calming down, Ryeowook still had a lot on his mind; of course, Kyuhyun being the majority of it; even though both his hyungs had a point about the maknae being fine.

Damn you, Sungmin. Stupid ing PDA.Ugh. Damn you both. How dare you say that you understand how I feel? You don’t have any ing idea how I feel. You’re the one who’s happy in love so how could you know?

Thinking about how sweet his two hyungs were made him want to vomit. He saw a bell pepper and started chopping it. The way they would always be near each other but far enough to give each other space. The way that Sungmin blushes each and every time Kangin does something relatively romantic. Feeling more aggravated, he went ahead and chopped another one.

your perfect life

Damn you ing Jongwoon. You are such a pain in the ing . Even if you don’t have anything to do with us, you’re still a pain.

Thinking about Jongwoon ignited his fury. He got a clove of garlic and crushed it with the flat of his knife. He gave another strong pound for good measure. His irritation still not subsiding, he proceeded to mince. The moment he let out his breath, he realized that the garlic he was mincing became very fine and almost looked like mush.

He was still furious.

He got a whole onion and mindlessly chopped it while thinking about his hyung and how sweet the two were. Like in a trance, he gripped the knife tighter as his chops were getting stronger. He almost screamed because of the sting he felt when he accidentally grazed his finger with the knife mixed with the juice from the onion.

Ah-! ing knife. Ryeowook hissed in pain

Ryeowook hurriedly rinsed off the wound to see if it was bad and gave a sigh of relief when he saw that it was just a cut. While rinsing his bleeding finger in the tap, his thoughts flew back to the maknae.

What if He finds him? What if they get back together?

That was his biggest fear. Jongwoon might still be the same Jongwoon and still remember; though chances of that happening were very little to none.  It was literally finding a needle in a haystack. But still, no matter how little the possibility is, it was still probable.

Hah. Like the hell that would happen. They won’t get back together.

I’ll make sure of it.

Chapter 10: Does anyone know when Sungmin is leaving for the army? I also heard that EunHae were leaving as well. Also, I know that this is a mainly YeKyu/KyuSung fic but I wish that you could have a side chapter on how KangMin started dating and their last weeks together before Sungmin left.
