Oh! Did I Just update? AFTER A WEEK?! This is my quickest update ever! Hah! and for that, Imma do meh happy dance. *awkward moving of limbs*

Yeah, not a pretty sight. HAHAHAHA! *hides*

I have a couple of things to say before we get this thing going.

First is that I don't mean to offend those who love Wookie to death. I'm one of them as well. I just think Ryeowook would be perfect for the role because Sungmin already has Kangin in my reality. And sweet Wookie is too mainstream. BRING ON Evil!Wookie.

Next is, This is still a Kyusung fic. No matter how much this thing reeks of Kangmin. *chuckles*

Lastly,  English is not my native language. so expect errors; especially because this is unbeta-ed.

One week has passed since Kyuhyun woke up. One week of everyone walking on eggshells around Kyuhyun; and one week of Kyuhyun sulking like somebody died even if that somebody was just 50 miles away from the city. One week of Kyuhyun spiraling deeper in depression.

Everyone is trying their best to make him feel that everything is going to be fine. But at the end of the day Kyuhyun wasn’t making it easy for himself to get up. What’s worse was Kyuhyun is doing a great job making everyone believe that he’s fine.

This has got to stop.

Sungmin wanted the maknae to sort things out for himself. Even Leeteuk said that it was for the best that they let Kyuhyun look for Jongwoon when he wants to. But it’s not as easy as they thought. It’s not easy seeing that spoiled snarky maknae of theirs suffering. It’s not easy seeing your little brother shattered and broken; and it’s definitely not easy to see one of your dearest friends wallow in depression knowing that you can help him.

But really, he just wants the old Kyuhyun back.

Kyuhyun was playing Starcraft when Sungmin knocked on his door. Well, actually he was just staring off at his screen while his army was being annihilated by Zerg. He’s lost another game. The great Cho Kyuhyun just lost for the 3^rd time in Starcraft today. Under normal circumstances the maknae would’ve been extremely pissed about losing. But recently, he couldn’t feel anything other than sadness.

“You lost.” The aegyo king suddenly said; breaking Kyuhyun out of his trance. It’s been happening a lot recently. Whenever Kyuhyun thinks deeply, he spaces out and stares at nowhere until somebody snaps him out of his thoughts.

“Hyung! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?!” The maknae said wide eyed and heartbeat still furious.

“Well, I did knock. Twice. But you didn’t answer. So I just came in.” the older answers with a sheepish smile.

“So, did you need something, Hyung?” Kyuhyun asks; because nobody normally bothers him when he was playing.

“It’s nothing, really. I just wanted to ask how you’re doing.” Sungmin answers while Looking through his closet.

“I’m fine, hyung.” Kyuhyun answers with his best smile.

“Could you not play that game with me, Kyuhyun?” Sungmin bluntly replies.

Kyuhyun was taken aback by his roommate’s response. It’s the first time somebody reacted that way when he said he was fine. It somehow felt comforting that somebody knows or is trying to really find out if he was doing fine. But his façade isn’t working on Sungmin anymore.

“You may have been doing a good job at making everyone else believe that you are but I know you’re not. Please, I know you better than that.”

Kyuhyun couldn’t make a witty retort out of that and just let his head hang low.

“Do you want to talk about it?” his voice regaining its usual warmth.

“No, not really. I wouldn’t know what to say.”

Sungmin, feeling the turmoil that his dongsaeng was experiencing, starts talking.

“Do you know about how Youngwoon and I got together?” Sungmin takes a seat in the bed next to Kyuhyun.

“It’s a funny story actually. He avoided me as soon as he found out that he had feelings for me and I avoided him because it’ll be the end of our career if the whole world found out. The man even went to the army to get away from me.” Sungmin was chuckling at himself while recalling their earlier years.

“But, you two just got together, right? So you’ve been avoiding each other since then?” Despite feeling down, Kyuhyun couldn’t resist asking the question. He was curious about the story of his two hyungs.

“Yes, we have. Well, actually it was him avoiding me like the plague for five years, give or take and me pining for him ever since.” Sungmin lies down on the bed and looks up at the ceiling; voice now softer, his smile sadder.

“How did you last that long? I would’ve gone insane if I was in your place.”

“Well, you are already going insane; and it’s just been a couple of weeks. This isn’t about me. But take it from someone who’s lived through it. If you feel something for someone so strong that you’d go insane, then you should find him. It’s definitely going be worth it in the end.”

“What if I can’t find him?” Kyuhyun asks softly?

 “Do you know about the story of the red string of fate?”

“Yes. What about it?”

“Let’s say you and Jongwoon are tied with that. No matter what happens, you’ll find each other.” Sungmin stands up and gives Kyuhyun a pat on the head.

But where do I start? Kyuhyun thinks to himself.

“Ask Youngwoon, he can help you with that.” Sungmin answers with a smile and a wink.

He could only stare at his roommates retreating back, amazed.  Not only because his roommate might have the power to read minds, but also because for the first time in days, he forgot about being sad.

He finally found hope.

If looks could kill, Sungmin is already as good as dead with the glare the Ryeowook was giving him from behind as he was making his way back to Kangin’s room. Overhearing the whole conversation made his blood boil. What ticked him off the most was the fact that Sungmin was very supporting of whatever Kyuhyun wants and pushing his love to find that damn Jongwoon.

Why couldn’t he just mind his own goddamn business?

“Spewing that crap about fate and strings. Who is he trying to fool?” the eternal maknae mutters to himself.

“Wookie? Is breakfast ready yet?” asks a still sleepy Donghae.

“Not yet hyung, it’ll be ready in a bit.” Ryeowook responds with a sunny smile.

This isn’t over

The change in Kyuhyun was very subtle; so subtle that only those who look carefully will notice it. Only a handful of people were able to notice that Kyuhyun’s smile has changed. That there was a glow in his eyes that looked like hope. Ryeowook of course, noticed the change; he was happy for his dongsaeng but he couldn’t help but scorn what was going to happen eventually.

“Hyung? I need your help.” Kyuhyun casually asks Kangin over breakfast.

“Sure. What do you need?”  Kangin replies between bites of his toast.

“I need to find Jongwoon-hyung.”

The room became so silent that a pin drop could be heard. Sungmin was looking at the two with a bemused expression while Ryeowook was looking straight at his bowl like it was the most interesting thing in the world. Heechul only looked at the two unaffected while everyone else was surprised at the statement. Kangin only looked at him straight and silent as if he was giving Kyuhyun a chance to change his mind.

“Okay, but are you ready to look for him?” Youngwoon’s voice dropped lower; which startled Kyuhyun.

The maknae dished out a resounding yes.

Kangin was happy that Kyuhyun has regained his spirit. He sounds livelier compared to the past couple of weeks. But he wasn’t really sure if the maknae was mentally and emotionally ready for this. He wouldn’t be able to handle it if something bad happens to him given his current state. He just wanted his brother to be safe.

“Hahahaha! Look at his face! He was scared of you. Relax Youngwoon. He can handle it.” Heechul broke the silence in the room with his light and airy laugh.

“You really think so?” Kangin asks Heechul.

Heechul could only raise an eyebrow.

“What? You doubt me? I’m Kim Heechul; I’m never wrong.” The diva, with his usual confidence, responds.

Almost everyone in the room rolled their eyes and Sungmin chuckled.

“Fine. See me later. I have to give you something.” Kangin concedes and Kyuhyun breathes out a sigh of relief.

Later that afternoon, Kyuhyun went to the 12^th floor to see what Kangin had to show him. He was given a folder filled with information about his lover. He scanned the contents of the file and mentally smiled at himself because he knows almost everything inside this file. Except for the bit which said that Jongwoon quit SM Entertainment a month before Super Junior was formed.

“Hyung? How did you get this? This is supposed to be top secret, right?” Kyuhyun asks his hyung.

“Minnie used his charm on the ladies in the records office into giving him the information.” Kangin replies a little too fast.

“Sunny did it, huh.” Kyuhyun smirks at his hyung.

“Yup.”

“So, you’re really going tomorrow.” Kangin asks.

“Yeah, I guess.” Kyuhyun replies as he was looking through the file.

“Aren’t you scared? What if you don’t find him?”

“I don’t know. But it’s like what a friend told me. If we’re meant to find each other, then we will. No matter what happens. We’re tied by destiny.” Kyuhyun smiles at his hyung.

“That friend of yours is so cheesy.” The older chuckles; a hint of pink threatening to dust his cheeks.

“Yeah, he is. Thanks hyung, I’ll be going now.” Kyuhyun says before leaving the room.

“Well, you are cheesy, hyung.” Sungmin gives Kangin a hug from the back.

“I thought it was you. Didn’t Teuk tell us not to force him into looking?” Kangin says as he looks out the window while relishing Sungmin’s warmth.

“I didn’t force him. I just gave him the push that he needed to make his choice.”

“What if something happens to him?” Kangin doesn’t even try to hide his worry.

“You worry too much. He’s Kyu. He’ll be fine; and if not, we’ll be there for him.” Sungmin assures his lover.

“Hmm… You’re right. Want to take a nap?” satisfied with Sungmin’s answer.

“You just want to cuddle.” Sungmin teased but happily went to the bed.

“Psh. I’m sleeping.” Youngwoon spoons Sungmin to hide the blush blossoming on his cheeks.

“Lock the door hyung! Someone could get their eyes burnt if they walked in on you two!” Kyuhyun shouts from the hallways.

“Yeah, He’s going to be just fine.”  Kangin softly says. Sleep claiming the two.

The following day is the day when Kyuhyun leaves for Cheonan.
