I know I'm not able to give timely updates. and for that I apolgize.

I also want to thank you guys for not pressuring me into updating. :D

So, without further ado,

I give you the 3rd installment of In Moiety and Red Strings.

There are only two words that can describe the ride home from Apgujeong. Silence is the first and most obvious. The only sound that can be heard is the soft purr of the car engine and the pitter patter of the rain against their windshield.  Kyuhyun has not spoken a word since they left the broken down building back in the city. He’s quietly seated in the passenger unmoving and staring blankly at the road.

Which brings us to the other word, foreboding.

Ryeowook, being sensitive to the things around him was getting this familiar feeling in his gut. He’s felt this feeling before but can’t really put his finger on it. He shrugged it off as something bad he ate that morning. Right now he was more worried about Kyuhyun because ever since they left Apgujeong, he’s had a weird atmosphere around him. He tried talking to the maknae but he was met with empty words of assurance that everything is fine.

When the two got back to the dorms, Kyuhyun silently returned to his room and stayed there for the remainder of the night. With a heavy heart, Ryeowook let the maknae be; it had been a long day.

The following day was a rest day for Ryeowook. The eternal maknae usually spends it in kitchen making food to feed his hyungs which seem to have bottomless pits for stomachs. Shindong and Hyukjae were at the living room watching TV and also relishing their rest day. Sungmin was supposed to have his day off today as well but he was nowhere to be found.

As much as he wanted to get out and enjoy what little rest day he has, he just can’t. Ryeowook’s mind keeps going back to yesterday’s car ride; the look on Kyuhyun’s face, those empty eyes. Then he realized something. He remembered the feeling in his gut. He felt it years ago.

He felt it before Kyuhyun’s accident happened.

His skin erupted in goosebumps.

As scared as he was, he tried to reason with himself. That accident as definitely out of their control and their maknae would never even think of things like that. Ryeowook mentally slapped himself for even thinking about their maknae doing suicide. But still he can’t get that eerie feeling off his gut. Then his phone rang. It was their manager.

It feels like his heart stopped.

He was just told that Kyuhyun fainted during a shooting and is now in the hospital.

Wobody wasted time and rushed off to the hospital, all in their everyday clothes, no makeup, not even styled hair. Gone were the flashy idols known as SuJu; but here were the brothers worried about their little maknae.

When they got to the hospital, they were surprised that Kangin was already in the corridor with their manager and the doctor in charge of Kyuhyun. Kangin at that time is supposed to be in a theater rehearsal that should’ve lasted at least until much later. It seemed like he just got there as well, as he was still catching his breath, while listening to the manager and the doctor.

“He’s going to be okay. He fainted because of fatigue. It seems he hasn’t gotten any decent sleep in days. He must’ve been working too hard. It was bound to take its toll on him. The body is a traitor, you know.” The doctor assured the two while still checking on his clipboard.

“Is there anything we can do to help?” Kangin asks the doctor while the manager is adjusting Kyuhyun’s schedule, or rather crossing out all of the maknae’s activities for the next three weeks.

“What your manager is doing is a great help already. Work- related stress is a huge factor when it comes to fatigue. He needs to rest his mind and body for a while.” the doctor smiles noticing the three boys in the end of the corridor. “It seems Kyuhyun has more visitors. I believe I’ve told you all that I needed to tell you. I’ll be going now. I have other patients to attend to. You can fill them in. I’ll go back to check on him later.”

“Okay, thank you, sir.” Kangin and the manager both say bowing their heads.

After the exchange, the three approached their leader and manager each babbling a question, all asking about the well-being of their maknae. The manager, too busy talking to the management about Kyuhyun’s condition, left the leader to explain the current situation.

“Doc said he’s going to be fine. He fainted from fatigue because he wasn’t getting enough sleep.” His voice sounding like he was trying to convince himself that what he was saying was the truth. It was partially true; the maknae’s body gave out because of stress. But the work-related part was way off base.

Ryeowook was instructed to stay in the hospital with the maknae until his parents arrive, or until he wakes up. The other two were sent back to the dorms to wait for Donghae, Siwon and Sungmin. Kangin had to return to the theater because when he received the call from his manager, he bolted out of the theater leaving a fuming director which he’ll have to deal with when he comes back.

Later that night, they’re going to have a meeting.

After a few hours, save Kyuhyun; all the members of Super Junior, even Leeteuk; though just through phone, were assembled in the living room of the dorm. Everyone needs to be clued in on what’s happening to their maknae.

“Wow. Almost everyone’s here. Is this some big news? We should wait for Kyu to wake up then.” Shindong noted on the presence of everyone in the room. It really has been a long time since they’ve been together. It was sad that it isn’t for fun.

Kangin starts to speak up. “I’ve gathered us here today so that I could explain what’s happening to Kyu. Or at least what I think is happening to him.” Everyone nods and keeps silent because of anticipation. Kangin continues.

“Kyuhyun started acting weird a few days ago, when he first mentioned a person named Jongwoon, right?” everyone nods in agreement. “But does anyone know who this Jongwoon person is?” Kangin’s question was met with silence, which was broken by the person on the other line of the phone.

Leeteuk apparently remembers a Kim Jongwoon. A trainee under SM Entertainment who quit sometime before Super Junior was formed.

“Wait, you said this Jongwoon quit before Super Junior was formed. Kyuhyun came into the picture a year after our group was formed. Then how in the world does he know this Jongwoon?” this was raised by the eternal maknae. “How are we sure that this Jongwoon is the same person Kyu was talking about? There could be a lot of Jongwoons in Korea for all we know.” another question, raised by Donghae.

“I wasn’t so sure at first as well, but after talking to Leeteuk, he mentioned the other name Kyu mentioned the night he first fainted.” Kangin continued.

“Yesung” Leeteuk supplied.

“I never mentioned Yesung to Leeteuk but he told me that He knew a Jongwoon who had a stage name of Yesung back before the group was formed. The name already sounded familiar when Kyu said it that night. I just couldn’t put my finger on it; which means this Jongwoon has a high chance of being the Jongwoon Kyu was talking about.” Kangin states. Sounding very sure of himself.

“I just don’t know how the hell Kyuhyun knows Jongwoon.” Kangin adds as an afterthought.

Sungmin broke the silence by sliding an envelope on top of the table. The envelope contained information about Kim Jongwoon. From his whole name, the name of his parents, his younger brother, where he lived, where he lives, his blood type, his favorite food up to the details about his love for turtles. Of course, a copy of the person’s picture was included.

Everyone in the room was amazed of the information given to them. But in truth, they were more amazed at the aegyo prince for providing the information in such a short period of time.

“How the heck did you get all of that information? Shouldn’t that be top secret or something?” Heechul, the most surprised, asks Sungmin.

 Sungmin cheekily replies “It was easy, really. I just used my charm on the people in the management office to get me to the records office, where I used my iness to seduce the ladies in the archives into giving me the info.”

For once Heechul was out of words to say. He just gave a weird smile and let the imaginary cricket sounds tell Sungmin that his joke isn’t funny.

“Okay, I asked my best friend who just happened to be the niece of the owner of the company.” Sungmin resignedly states.

“Ah, so Sunny was the one who did it.” everyone seemingly more accepting of the latter explanation.

Each of the members looked at the folder that they were given. But all of them really didn’t know what to do with the information they have. But what really puzzled them was how their maknae seemed to know this person who left even before Super Junior was formed.

Everyone had the same question in mind and sadly no one knows the answer. In the end, they just let it be. They were more worried about the wellbeing of their maknae; and if this will make him alright again, then they’ll be more than happy to help.

After sometime, somebody decided to speak up.

“Okay, it’s great that we have all this. But we still really don’t know who Jongwoon is. How are we going to help Kyu using this?” Shindong asked.

“This info isn’t for us; it’s for Kyu. He can use this to find Jongwoon. Our side will help on covering up for him while he’s in Cheonan . But one of us should go with him.” Kangin answers while returning all the contents of the envelope inside.

“But first, someone needs to tell him what’s up when he wakes up. But, can we not start right away? I think our maknae still needs time for all of this to sink in.” Their leader adds.

Getting their leader’s point, Kangin agrees. “Okay, we’ll start when he wants to look for Jongwoon again. Everyone, let’s help our maknae. We can do this.”

really, damn this writers block. I'm amazed how other people get over these things.
