Jessica's POV

I didn't know what to do, so I ran away.

I ran all the way back to the dorm.

As I calmed myself down, I thought about what Taeyeon said.

Somehow, no matter what I do, I can't stop. No matter how much I avoid you, I'll always end up simply a distance away from you. I stare at you like there's no one else in the world. Even when Yuri is next to you, I try to gain my strength to walk forward and talk to you. But no matter how much I try, I'll never succeed, for I simply am a coward. We walk side by side, but I always feel like I'm a thousand metres away. Every time I convince myself that I'm strong enough to tell you, I end up staying at a side instead. Every step I take towards you, my fear grows bigger. What will happen if you knew. I kept asking myself that. I know that you have Yuri, and Yuri has you, and that the both of you love each other a lot, but my mind just can't stop thinking about you. And my soul just can't keep away from you. And my heart... my heart can't stop going back to you.... I just can't stop loving you, Sooyeon ah...

So that's why she was hurt all this while.

Then again, why was I so angry when she and Tiffany kissed?

Why wasn't I happy when it was Tiffany who made her smile instead of me?

I don't get myself anymore.

I took my bag and got out of the dorm.

If I was at home when she came back, it'll be too awkward.

If it was vice-versa, it wouldn't be that awkward.

So I went to Yuri's dorm.

Taeyeon's POV

My head tilted down, I walked to my car, bought with years of my hard work.

I drove in the rain, until I reached my favourite cafe, Twinkle Cafe.

I walked into the cafe, taking a seat near the window. 

I ordered a simple latte while watching the busy streets. 

It was fascinating; how people wandered around that late.

Most of them were mostly with their best friends, I guessed.

Best friends...

Ah, I guess we aren't even that anymore.

Well, you risked it, Kim Taeyeon.

You let your defence get broken, so I guess I brought it upon myself.

I did that up till the morning. And surprisingly, I didn't cry a single tear.

Perhaps it was because I don't show my weak self to just anyone.

Or maybe because so many people have hurt me that I'm just accustomed to it. 

Jessica's POV

~Morning~

She should be back by now...

When I opened the door, no one was in the dorm.

Checking every room, even the bathrooms, she was nowhere to be found.

What if she was so hurt she ran away?!

I panicked and ran into her room, opening her wardrobe immediately.

I sighed of relief, she didn't run away. 

Why did I even panic... 

We're best friends, I was just scared she'll leave me alone...

Yeah, that's it. I convinced myself.

I heard a loud knock on the door.

Was it her? Could it be her? 

If it was her, she has keys doesn't she?

I looked at the peephole and found Tiffany.

I opened the door and looked at her, "What do you want?" 

"Uhh, where's Taeyeon?"

"I have no idea." I said coldly.

"Yah, where's Taeyeon, seriously?"

"I really have no idea!" 

"Fine, then I'll wait here." she said stubbornly. 

"There's no need to." the voice was too familar.

Both of us turned our heads to look at Taeyeon.

Tiffany let out a huge smile.

"Yay, Taetoro, can we go see a movie?" she asked with aegyo.

Ughh, it's so disgusting.

Taeyeon let out a small smile. It wasn't her real smile though...

"Yeah sure, Miyoung-ah. Just, let me get some things..."

Taeyeon's POV

I walked into my room and threw a bunch of my clothes into a haversack.

"Oh, Taetoro, why the need to pack?"

"Can I have a sleepover at your dorm tonight?"

Tiffany smiled, "Of course, Taeyeonie."

"Taengoo..." I heard her voice.

"Oh, you can invite Yuri over if you feel too lonely. Doesn't hurt for your girlfriend to come right?" I said all that without looking at her.

If I did, I might start to cry, and I seriously do not want to cry. Not here, not now.

I just exit the dorm with Fany and we walked to the movie theatre.

"What show do you want to watch, Taeyeon?"

"The Love That Just Cannot Be." I needed a cover to cry.

I just couldn't keep it anymore. 

That time was probably the most I've cried...

~After The Movie~

"Yah, I sure didn't know you were such a soft person." Miyoung smiled.

I smiled, "Neither did I..."

We walked to a nearby park.

"So..." she spoke first, "Jessica?"

Surprised at her speaking about Sooyeon, I looked at her. 

"Why?"

"You like Jessica right?"

I sighed, "I guess?"

"Why do you like her?"

"I don't know... We grew up together... Those times where we just had fun and cared about no other, I guess I fell in love with her."

"Oh, how long was those times?"

"5 years or so... Why?" I asked, curious.

"Ah, so it'll take 5 years for you to fall in love with me?" she asked cutely.

I blushed, "Yahh... I... It doesn't necessarily have to take 5 years you know?" I answered back with a grin.

"So you'll fall in love with me faster?"

I shrugged, "Who knows. Merong~" 

She smiled, "You... You're really cute, Taeyeon ah."

I chuckled, "Aniyo Aniyo. Miyoungie is the cutest!" I smiled.

She gave another one of her eyesmiles.

"But seriously, Taeyeonnie. I think I lo-- No, I think I like you very very very much!"

"Why'd you stop yourself from saying love?"

"Because I don't know the true meaning of love, so... I like you... very very much." she laughed.

"Mmm, guess what, Miyoung."

She tilted her head.

"I like you very much too." I chuckled.

"Hmm." she pouted.

"You're not happy that I like you very much?"

"I like you very very very much! You're missing two "very"s."

"Eish, you pabo. I knocked her head."

"Merong~" she ran around the park again.

Accidentally, she ran onto the road. 

I saw a car going to hit her, then i quickly pulled her into my embrace.

Dazed, she stayed in my embrace for a long while.

After she broke out from her daze, she looked at me.

"Thanks, Taengoo ah."

That name... reminds me so much of Sooye-- Jessica. 

It was weird, what I was feeling. When I thought she'll get hurt, I was afraid...

Why? 

Looking at her, I slowly leaned in and kissed her.

"Taeyeon.." she blushed.

"Shh," I said as I placed a finger on her lips, then slowly kissing her again.

After the kiss she blushed like a red tomato, again. 

I burst out laughing.

"Yah Kim Taeyeon, how can you kiss me twice in a row and not expect me to blush!" 

I smiled. I enjoy this... Just playing around without a care in the world. 

Reminds me of ... someone....

Jessica's POV

I guess I wasn't the only one who was afraid to face her...

Well, she must be feeling more awkward than me... and more.... hurt.

But she's with Tiffany, so she should feel better. Right?

I don't get it though. Why did I feel so scared... 

Could I possibly like Taeyeon too?

But... no, I like Yuri, and always have.

But why... 

I seriously don't know.

Tiffany's POV

Trust me, Taetae, I'll rid of all that hurt in your heart caused by that girl. 

I still can't believe she kissed me though. She's so lovable and.. I sighed of happiness, and perfect.

"Why you sighing, Miyoungie?" she asked while her ice cream.

"I can't believe you kissed me... TWICE."

"Actually, it's three times, but the first was accidental. It was supposed to be four times, but SOMEONE decided to interrupt." she pouted.

"Why? Am I so addicting?" I joked.

"Yeah, you are." she smiled.

"What..." I guess I was blushing like a red tomato, she was laughing loudly. 

"You're really... you're really cute." she smiled.

"Ani Ani, Taetae is cuter!" I replied back with a smile.

"Aishh, Miyoung is the cutest!" Taetae said, before giving me merong and running away.

Taeyeon's POV

Looking back to see how far apart me and Tiffany was, I accidentally crashed into someone.

"Yah, can't you see where you're goi- Taeyeon?" I heard her voice.

"Oh, I'm sorry, didn't see you there, Jessica." I quickly walked away, only to be pulled back by her, her arms around me.

I cleared my throat, "Um, I don't think Yuri would like seeing us like that, and neither would Miyoung..."

"Miyoung... Ah, so I wasn't the only one who allowed you to call by her real name." 

I kept quiet.

"You... What you said yesterday..." she said.

"I.... I really have to go back... Bye!" I tried to run for it, but apparently she didn't let go.

"Yah Kim Taeyeon! How can you just confess to me like that and walk away the next day?"

"Psh, at least I didn't walk away right after saying that I won't abandon a certain someone." I muttered.

"I just didn't know what to say..." her grip on my wrist loosened.

"Nevermind, it doesn't matter anymore."

"Yes it does, we're talking about your feelings! Do they not matter to you?"

"How funny. Now my feelings matter to you? Wow, since when did that happen?" I asked sarcastically. 

"Taengoo... you know I care, right?" she asked me, tears in her eyes.

I wasn't supposed to care.

I wasn't supposed to comfort her.

I guess it's because I love her too much..

I hugged her, "Of course I do..."

"Then why are you avoiding me?"

"I'll just get hurt in the end afterall, so why even bother..." I said.

"Taeyeon ah...." she leaned forward, I panicked but I guess my feelings got the better of me.

Jessica's POV

I just leaned forward, I didn't care about what happened later. 

All I wanted to do in this moment was to kiss her, to tell her that I care.

Our lips slowly touched, my hands around her waist and pulling her closer.

Eventually we had to stop due to lack of oxygen.

After I realised what I did, I looked at her shocked face.

"I... I didn't know what came over me... I... I... I'm sorry."

She shook her head, "It's not your fault. I could've pushed you away."

"But Taeyeon... I don't want to hurt you." I said.

"Well then, you failed, Jessica Jung." I heard another voice.

"Hwang, what do you want?"

"Miyoung..." Taeyeon said, as if wanting Tiffany to stopl

"Look, Jessica Jung. Have you any idea how hurt Taeyeon must have been after you left her alone? She was real hurt, I can tell you. And suddenly you kiss her out of nowhere then apologise? Seriously, what's wrong with you?" she scolded me.

"Miyoung, let it go..."

"No, I won't, Taetae. I don't know what's up between you two, but I don't like seeing Taeyeon hurt. So I won't allow you to hurt her anymore."

I had enough.

"You... You think you have the right to talk to me like that? You think you're the only one who hates seeing her hurt? Do you know who was there for her all those times where she cried? You don't, so who are you to say that?! You think you know her?"

"Just stop already, you two..." Taeyeon said weakly.

"I might not know fully what has happened to her all this time. I wasn't there for her when she was all sad before, but I truly like her and care about her. I don't know if I really know her, but the Kim Taeyeon that I know doesn't deserve to be treated like this." she said.

"You!" I raised my hand.

Taeyeon's POV

Even after I told them to stop, they continued.

When I saw Jessica's hand raised up, I intervened. 

Holding her wrist, I told her calmly, "Stop it... You have no right to hit her. No one has any right to hit Miyoung." I released her hand.

"Miyoung ah, let's go." I walked away with her.

Every step, my heart hurt even more.

Jessica's POV

I stood there, feeling defeated.

She protected Miyoung huh...

I guess that means I went overboard.

Haish, I need to to talk to someone who knows Taeyeon really well...

Someone like...

~Someplace in the university~

"So, you have come to Doctor Sooyoung to know about the new pandemic going around called Kim Taeyeon? What are your questions?" Sooyoung asked.

"Yah, I'm being serious here, Sooyoung."

"Beforehand, I have to tell you something. You have a chance to win Taeyeon back, so don't worry."

"The thing is I don't even know if I love her!"

"Well then, let's consult the love-a-tronic 5000!" Sooyoung said, opening her laptop.

"Soo, that is a laptop..."

"Do you want me to help you or not?!"

"Fine!" 

"Now, answer these questions." she turned her laptop to face me.

1. You constantly think about her.
2. You read your conversations with her over and over again.
3. You smile when you hear her voice.
4. You think about her all the time.
5. You just love looking at her.

"Okay, I think that is all to know. So, ANSWER THEM!" she urged.

"Yes... Yes, Yes, Yes and no."

"Wait what? You don't love looking at her? Why?" Sooyoung asked, shocked.

"Whenever I look at her, she's with that witch. I hate seeing her with that witch."

"Witch? Oh wait, you mean Miyoung?" she asked, then laughed, "Ah, you must be jealous!" 

"Okay, so the thing is, you like her, if not love!" she smiled.

"Then?"

"Huh?" I asked.

"Go. Get. The. Girl." Sooyoung said.

"Yah, you could've said it normally and I would've understood." I said back.

"Not from what I remember.." Sooyoung said. I gave her a smack on the head, as I walked away.

Taeyeon's POV

The taste of Sooyeon's lips couldn't be forgotten. 

The taste was still there....

Why couldn't I just forget her...

"Taeyeon... seeing how you are now, I seriously and honestly doubt you'll ever fall for me..."

"Miyoung, let me try... please?" 

She shook her head, "You're so totally whipped by Jessica. I can see that.. but, I'm going to try to win her heart for as long as she doesn't love you. Wait, I'll still try to win your heart even if you guys are together,"

I smiled, "Well, good luck then, you'll need it." I grinned.

No POV

Jessica was thinking about how to break up with Yuri, then start pursuing Taeyeon. 

Arriving at Yuri's dorm, she knocked, only to find out that the door hadn't even been locked.

She walked into the place, then heard moans from Yuri's room.

She looked at the small gap the door left, seeing Yuri doing 'it' to some girl. 

It didn't hurt... Surprisingly, to her.

She opened the door wide, seeing Yuri's shocked face, she smiled in her mind.

Preparing her acting emotions, she shouted, "Yah! Kwon Yuri, how could you?! That's it, we're over!"

"B-But Sica..." 

"Forget it, Kwon. Goodbye." Jessica walked away.

When she got out of the room, she said aloud, "Boy that was easier than I expected."

She then went to find Taeyeon, seeing her on the swing on their tree.... with that witch. 

"Looks like the useless one came back huh?" Tiffany asked. 

"Miyoung, don't." Taeyeon said, "What do you want Jessica?"

"Can we talk alone? Please?"

"What? Why? You're too scared of me?" Tiffany smirked.

"MIYOUNG! That's enough okay?" Taeyeon shouted.

"Fine..." Tiffany said, walking away quietly.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Taeyeon got off the swing.

"You, Me... Us." Jessica looked at Taeyeon.

"Look, I understand. You don't like me in that way. I'm perfectly fine with that."

"No! You're not fine with that. If you were, you wouldn't keep avoiding me. And besides, I'm not fine with what you said either."

Taeyeon looked at her blankly.

"Kim Taeyeon... I don't know how. I don't know when. But I... I know it's weird that I'm saying this, after leaving you yesterday... Just believe me, please?" Jessica pleaded.

"Sooyeon, don't lie okay? You know how much I hate liars... Saying they will stay by my side, leaving after." she scoffed.

Jessica looked away, she was guilty of doing exactly that. 

"I'm not lying though, Taeyeon. I think I..."

Jessica's POV

"No... You have Yuri. Don't break her heart like that. It will hurt... way too much." she said, walking away.

Standing there, I was choosing between going after her, or not. 

Then all her words from the previous night came to mind.

I just stood there and shouted.

"If you can't stop thinking about me, why are you there and not next to me, here? If your soul can't keep away from me, then don't resist it. And if your heart just can't stop coming back to me, let it be, for I will accept it."

She turned around, shocked.

I walked to her and hit her shoulders.

"Kim Taeyeon, just believe me already. I even broke up with Yuri, you know? Since you already love me and I already love you, let's get rid of all that annoying drama. Kim Taeyeon, will you be mine?"

Taeyeon's POV

I can't say I believed her, but neither can I say I doubted her fully.

So I just went with what my heart said.

I'll just enjoy these moments while I can, and take care of the pain later on, when I actually feel it. 

"Of course, Jung Sooyeon. I'm all yours." I grinned a childish grin at her.

"Since you're mine now..." she leaned forward and kissed me.

This time, I kissed her back without a doubt. 

We pulled back, laughing at each other. 

Then I started crying.

No POV

Jessica was alarmed.

"Why are you crying? You look way too beautiful when you're crying, but just seeing you cry makes me hurt you know?" she said to Taeyeon.

"I'm just relieved..."

"Relieved?"

"That in the end, I actually have you to be with." she smiled. 

Jessica hugged Taeyeon.

"I'll be with you.. forever and ever. Until one day, you decide to get rid of me."

"I will never, ever, get rid of you. Okay, maybe if the day that you decide to be so beautiful that I can't take it no more. Wait, that won't ever happen." Taeyeon grinned cheerfully.

"Yah, what is that supposed to mean!" Jessica prepared to hit Taeyeon, but Taeyeon in turn said.

"It means that you already are at the peak of your beauty. And that day will never happen, because I love you." she placed a soft kiss on Jessica's lips, causing the latter to blush madly.

Tears do have colours. Not the actual colours, of course. What I've been experiencing all my life has been one single colour... Comparable to black, possibly. But now, after understanding the feeling of being loved and cared for, I finally found the other colour. Comparable to White, this one was. Full of hope, an endless supply of energy, possibly.

All of a sudden, they heard two other voices from a nearby bush.

"Finally! Boy that was too much drama for me to handle!" Sooyoung's voice came out. 

"Baby, it wasn't THAT bad.... Who am I kidding. It could get a Grammy award!" another voice.

*Miyoung?* Taeyeon thought. 

TaengSic walekd to the bush and looked at the two people talking.

Both Jessica and Taeyeon cleared their throats. 

Sooyoung and Tiffany looked up. 

"We're screwed" both of them said at once.

Sooyoung and Tiffany got pulled up by Jessica and Taeyeon respectively.

"CHOI SOOYOUNG!" "HWANG MIYOUNG!" They both shouted.

Tiffany sighed, "I told you this wasn't a good idea, darling." 

"Hey, I had to try right? I couldn't stand the danshin moping around like some dead body, baby."

"BABY?!" "DARLING?!" both of them shouted again.

Sooyoung smiled, "Yup. Tiffany is my baby, and I'm hers."

"I don't... understand?" Taeyeon asked. 

"Well you see, you were moping around like some dead body because of Jessica, who had Yuri. So my baby and I decided to create a scene and try to set you two up with each other, which I actually thought would end up spoiling the friendship in the end. So I asked my baby to pretend that she likes you. You should be happy I even allowed that. If she did that to anyone else, that person would be DEAD."

Taeyeon growled, "What if it DID spoil our friendship in the end?" Jessica nodded.

"Well then..." Sooyoung said out loud, before whispering to Tiffany, "After I say the word bad, run for it!" She then continued, "TOO BAD!" they both ran.

Taeyeon and Jessica both laughed. 

Taeyeon tricked Jessica, "Sooyeon, you have something..." Taeyeon pointed at the cheek furthest to her. Jessica tried to wipe it, but didn't feel anything. "Here, let me help." 

Jessica turned her face and Taeyeon placed her lips on Jessica's.

"Y-Yah.. Kim Taeyeon!" Jessica tried to be angry at Taeyeon, the blush still evident on her face. 

Taeyeon turned and kissed her even more. Wrapping her arms around Jessica's waist, Jessica did the same, except at Taeyeon's neck.

Both of them said at the same time: 

"I Love You"
