Exactly What I've Been Waiting ForShort chapter. My intent was that it's supposed to be a little funny, you know comedic relief. And as the title mention, it's the chapter before the last. So brace yourselves guys, and you've already read my "preview" for the next story, so stay tuned. Also, anyone know good website for recent kimerald photos. The one website I had stopped posting pictures :( and now i need a new one. It's not really important, but i wanted a banner for the next story. So either i make one with help from you guys, or someone can make me one :D, but either way, I'm asking for help, lol. Anyways, enjoy your night and 'tis the season to be jolly, so smile!!! :D
Maja knocked on Kim’s door before entering. Baby steps, she thought
She walked in and saw Kim in one of Gerald’s polos and her hair missionary tousled. Maja smiled, completely amused. “I knew you guys were totally having .”
Kim tucked her hair behind her ear and chuckled, “Though you don’t really know when to filter what you say.”She stood up, leaning her hip against the wardrobe and smiled. “What can I do for you, Maj?”
“I wanted to say I’m sorry for that stupid, stupid comment. I shouldn’t have said it and I wanted to dig my foot down my throat and shove down, down, down. It was stupid.”
Kim tilted her head in sympathy and walked over to one of her best friends and hugged her. “Stop apologizing. I love you, and I don’t hate you. But maybe we can help you out with the whole thinking-before-you-speak person.”
Someone cleared their throat from the adjoined bathroom. The two women turned their heads and smiled at a half- Gerald. “Don’t stop what you’re doing.”His smile widened in delight. “You know, this is much more better than what I was doing, so please, continue.”
Maja playfully touched the side of Kim’s face and gazed. “You know, Ge, in college me and Kim experimented. Just thought you should know before you get married and all, I will always be her favourite.”She kissed Kim’s cheek and skipped out of the bedroom.
Kim laughed, staring at her future husband’s dropped jaw. “Really? Was that how you guys made up after a fight? Is that why you’re immune to all her crap?”He lifted his jaw from the floor and shrugged. “I don’t know how to compete with that.”
She linked her arms around his waist from behind him and followed him. “Then, I guess you won’t want the honeymoon.”She said, jumping in front of him and prancing back on the beach.
The champagne bottle was already popped and everybody was standing around the blazing fire.
“Okay, so now that the couple of honor has decided to stop playing hooky and actually meet us tonight, I would like to propose to toast,”Enchong exclaimed, pouring glasses and raising his glass.
Gerald stood behind Kim, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and pressed up against her. Kim smiled at Enchong, one of her best and longest friends, and everybody who was surrounding them.
“Not to spoil my best man speech, but I’d just like to say that in a couple of days, we’ll be watching two of our favorite join hands, join lives and witnessed it all. And it is nothing like watching two people fall madly in love. So let’s raise our glass to Kimerald!”They all cheered, and hooted, making the ocean wave with excitement. “And welcome them to our very own marriage club we’ve got going on here.”
“Oh yeah, because we have such amazing role models,”Kim teased.
Gerald chuckled, “I remember the night ‘Chong called me asking for a place to sleep one night because ‘Rich kicked him out for working late.”
“Or Shai crying that Ray’s not sympathetic enough for her growing uterus.”
“And Maj always starting fights.”
“Oh yeah, you know, I think when we get married, we’ll start our own marriage club with happy couples.”Kim laughed, downing her glass.
The rest of the night was left to the darkness and glow in the sky. Because the next night they’d all be making toasts and being happy together, it’d be the wedding day. And that was one day they couldn’t wait for.
