Flip, Sip, or Strip? Part 1

He's Got A Boy [ON HIATUS]

“I really must speak my mind and say that I do not condone such reckless means of entertainment.”

Groans were heard throughout the room as seven, fast-flying pillows were slung towards the ever elusive Heechul, who promptly ducked his pretty little head to dodge the fluffy objects. Maintaining his posture and stared down the seven boys who were looking at him in annoyance.

“I will not take part in your impractical games and that is final.” Haughtily, the cat-obsessed diva rose from his position on the couch to find a more comfortable place to reside, namely a brown leather massage chair that was situated in front of the fireplace of the room as he crossed his legs and turned the chair to stare at the remaining boys.

“Since when did Heechul hyung use such big words?” asked Kyuhyun, smirking when he saw Heechul glare at him.

“When I learned how to use a nail filer and tweezers to kill someone silently,” Heechul said, smiling in satisfaction at Kyuhyun’s pale face.

“Come on hyung, Donghae’s going to be alone these two weeks, he will feel lonely!” Hyukjae said, carrying a mountain of pillows and blankets to the living room.

Heechul scoffed. “Then shouldn’t you be acting the opposite? Like trying to get Donghae al—”

He was interrupted by a pillow hitting his face and a steaming red anchovy looking at him with murderous eyes.

‘Don’t you even dare say it!’ Hyukjae mouthed. Heechul could only freeze in shock at the sight of a fatal Hyukjae for the first time.

“Well if you don't like it, you can always go back to your dorm,” Young Woon said, shrugging his shoulders. He was helping Hyukjae lay out the blankets and pillows before Heechul rolled his eyes.

“Oh please, you know how I feel about that hellhole. I’d rather stay here than there,” Heechul scoffed.

“Then don't complain anymore,” Hangeng stated, giving Heechul a warning look. Heechul only sighed and turned the chair to the fireplace again.

“Okay, I say we go shopping for the stuff now!” Sungmin whooped, following a number of replies as half of the members stood up to go.

                “Let’s go buy marshmallows!”

“Ew, why marshmallows? Why not chocolate?”

                “I want strawberries!”

                “Let’s get mochi!”

“You’re going to get sick eating mochi all the time, Henry.”

                “We should call a caterer.”

“No need, I can just call the chef back home to come and cook.”

“Where’s the fun in that? We should at least make our own food!”

“Oh, but you should ask them to get the games back at your house though!”

“Twister, Monopoly, Life, Just Dance, Dance Central, and what else am I missing?”

As the others continued planning, they all seem to have forgotten the person who actually had to approve of all this. That’s right, Lee Donghae hasn’t even said anything about the sleepover and they had already begun preparation.

He heaved a sigh and resisted the urge to run a hand through his hair. Honestly, he didn’t have the slightest idea of what was going on through their heads right now, and he had a feeling he didn’t want to know.

“Sorry about this Donghae,” Jung Soo said, giving him an apologetic smile. “They tend to be blockheaded half the time so please don't take this so harshly.” Donghae shook his head and forced a smile.

“It’s alright, I’m sure they didn’t mean any harm,” Donghae said.

Jung Soo stared at him for a moment before looking back to the others. “Well it doesn’t seem alright. Are you sure you are okay with this?”

Donghae stayed quiet and thought about it. Well, he didn’t mind what they were doing, but he did mind, however, the fact that they have decided on doing these themselves without asking for his approval.

“If you want, I can round them up and go home. We seem to be a nuisance to you,” Jung Soo suggested. Donghae looked at him and opened his mouth.

“No, really it’s alright. You guys aren’t a nuisance.”

Jung Soo eyed him again and frowned. “Donghae, if we are a nuisance, it’s okay to tell us. We won't take it heart. We just thought you might have been a little lonely to be in this huge house by yourself.”

Donghae sighed. He was right, he was lonely. With barely any friends, and his parents attending business trips and his brother going out all the time, it gets very quiet and lonesome. But he just never made an effort to do something about it.

Jung Soo smiled. “I can tell that you don't see us as friends, Donghae.” Donghae snapped to look at him and blushed a bit, knowing he had hit the nail on the head. Jung Soo chuckled. “Well you should change that view of yours because we think of you as our friend.”

Donghae looked at him and his lips started to curl upwards unknowingly.

“Donghae-ah! Do you want to come with us?” Hyukjae asked. Donghae looked to Jung Soo and Jung Soo nodded.

“Go on, I’ll be sure to watch over the remaining members here,” Jung Soo said, pushing Donghae toward the door lightly. Donghae nodded in thanks and quickly started putting on his shoes before walking out the door with Hyukjae and the others.

It wasn’t long before Donghae and the others made it to the supermarket down the street. There were a variety of necessities, food and even clothes for a sleepover and Donghae couldn’t help but feel so weird since he didn’t even know what to look for.

“Hyung, what are we going to make for food?” Hyukjae asked, turning to Hangeng who had decided to come along to get the ingredients for him and Ryeowook to use.

“We? Don't you mean me and Ryeowook?” Hangeng asked, shaking his head. Hyukjae gave a cheeky smile and looked to Donghae, noticing how stiff and awkward he looked to be here.

It was the same situation when Hyukjae had forced him to hang out the others before.

“Donghae, are you okay?” Hyukjae asked. He was looking at him, hoping that he trusted him enough to tell him what’s wrong. Well, he did it before with him, but then again that was only once.

Donghae smiled and nodded. “Yes, I’m fine. Why wouldn’t I be?”

Hyukjae deflated a bit on the inside. So I guess he doesn’t really trust me. “Oh no, I was worried because you looked uncomfortable being here.”

Donghae flinched a bit, forcing another awkward smile. “Uncomfortable? I’m completely comfortable here.”

Hyukjae was about to reply when Dong Hee suddenly passed by them with his arms up in the air and screaming. “WHOO! HENNESSY AND VODKA!”

Behind him, Young Woon was carrying a pack of red solo cups and various types of juices. Donghae’s eyes practically bugged out when he saw it.

                “Oh my . . . don't tell me they’re planning to—”

“HANKYUNG HYUNG COME ON! WE’RE GOING TO PAY NOW!” Young Woon yelled, putting the alcohol and juices on the counter. Hangeng nodded as he picked a few more ingredients before going where they were to pay.

Hyukjae looked to Donghae who was as white as a ghost. He chuckled. Such a cute face he’s making. He paused and furrowed his eyebrows. What the hell was I just thinking? He slapped his face a few times. God Hyukjae, you really are gay!

Dong Hee elbowed Young Woon and gestured to the anchovy and fish with his finger. “What’s wrong with them?”

Young Woon glanced back to see Hyukjae inflicting harm onto himself by slapping his face and Donghae staring at them, an expression similar to their hoobae Kyungsoo.

                “Beats me.” He shrugged.

. . .

. . .

. . .

                “We’re back!”

“Did you guys buy ice cream?” asked Henry, his eyes sparkling with hope.

“No—” Henry’s shoulders slumped. “But—” Henry looked at him with hope again. “We bought broccoli and cauliflower for our little maknae over here.” Hangeng pinched Henry’s cheeks and Henry pouted, disappointed with the menu.

“No sweets at all, gege?” Henry asked in Chinese, hoping his face and voice were cute enough to make Hangeng fall to his whims.

Hangeng remained indifferent and replied in Chinese. “Henry, aegyo doesn’t work on me, unless you are a girl.”

“No wonder you’re called Heechul’s amongst us,” Henry grumbled, walking away.

“Yah, what do you guys think you’re doing with the low table?” Jung Soo asked as he looked at Kyuhyun and Young Woon.

“We’re going to use it to drink. Why else would we bring the low table out?” Young Woon replied as he and Kyuhyun set it in the middle of the living room.

“Exactly, we didn’t sleep in the living room to have a drinking party you know. Plus, this is our dorm, it’s Donghae’s house!”

“Don’t be such a killjoy hyung, and I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t mind a little celebration for welcoming our new friend,” Kyuhyun said. Donghae, who was near, practically gave a look of confusion toward Kyuhyun, but he couldn’t help but feel a little satisfied with that answer. Maybe he could let this off, just once.

Young Woon went back into the kitchen to get the red solo cups and Smirnoff from the bag. “Anyways, I have a feeling you’ll need a drink. You’ve been so uptight lately.”

“Now whose fault is that?” Jung Soo flatly said.

Seeing the alcohol lay out on the table, the members automatically walked over.

“Everybody grab a cup! That means you too Donghae!” Donghae looked at all of them and was surprised that everyone was going to drink, and that included Kyuhyun too. Henry was out of it, due to Zhou Mi’s instructions and now they were looking at Donghae to grab a cup.

“Aren't we all underage to drink?”

“So? What’s your point?” scoffed Heechul, sipping on his cup already.

                “Isn't it illegal?”

“It’s not like we’re going to get caught,” Young Woon said, reassuring him. Donghae bit his lip in contemplation.

He felt like one of those nerdy kids getting peer pressured just to fit in with a group of people, only, Donghae wasn’t actually getting peer pressured, he was doing it all on his own free will.

His hand slowly reached for a cup and looked to the others. They weren’t looking at him since they knew he would feel uncomfortable from their staring, and Donghae raised it to his lips. He took a sip and almost coughed from the burning sensation in his throat from the vodka.

It was hard liquor so he should’ve expected it. Since it was his first time, he just wasn’t use to it. He started to run a list of things in his head, specifically the things he had to do to avoid getting drunk.

The first thing on his list was to eat. He knows too many times with Donghwa that drinking on an empty stomach causes the effects of alcohol to happen even faster.

He looked toward the kitchen and saw that Hangeng and Ryeowook were all in the middle of cooking the food. Looks like he’s not going to eat yet.

The red solo cup was still in his hand and he felt tempted to drink again. Even if the vodka wasn’t as tasty or the fact that it burned his throat a bit, it just made him want to drink it even more. He took a few more sips, and that begun the crazy night to come ahead.
