Suzy gave them a friendly smile before bowing back to them. “Hello, my name is Suzy. I’m your new little sister!” She sounded so excited and happy. She walked in slowly followed by their mother. Suzy realised that Sunggyu was just staring at her in awe. She gave him a reassuring smile before looking back at the rest.

The boys exchanged looks and they knew they were mutual on their feelings. They looked at Sunggyu then looked behind Suzy and saw their mother glaring at them. They averted their gaze back to Suzy. It was a surprise for them because they felt calm and warm just by looking at her. Woohyun gave Sunggyu a little nudge to free Sunggyu from his little trance.

Sunggyu straightened up and bowed a little to Suzy. “Hello Suzy. I’m Sunggyu.” Suzy bowed in return. Sunggyu could feel his hands getting sweaty and so to move the attention away from him, he gave Woohyun a little poke on the side.

Woohyun smiled brightly as he introduced himself, “Hello! I’m Woohyun!” He threw his signature heart towards Suzy. Suzy wasn’t surprise at all. In fact, she threw the heart back. Unlike her, the others were surprise with her response.

She gave him a smile before looking at Myungsoo. Myungsoo kept his poker face on, his cold eyes digging into hers. “My name is Myungsoo.” He looked at his mother, standing just a few inches away from Suzy. He had the urge to kill the woman behind Suzy. He knew he had to protect her no matter what. He bit his tongue to stop him from saying or doing anything.

Suzy couldn’t help but smile at Sungyeol. He gave off a fun vibe and just by looking at him, Suzy already felt like she was going to have so much fun with them. Sungyeol gave her his gummy smile, “My name is Sungyeol.” He looked at Myungsoo and elbowed him a little. “Sorry about Myungsoo. He doesn’t smile much. You’ll get use to him, don’t worry”.

Suzy shook her head, “No, it’s fine. He’s better than some people that I’ve seen.”

“I say Ho, you say Ya” Hoya beamed. “Ho”

“Ya~” Suzy’s smiled reached her eyes. “Nice to meet you Hoya oppa. That’s such a fun name to say. Hoya. Hoya. Ho. Ya. Hoya.” She chuckled quietly. The boys couldn’t help but smile at her.

“Hello Suzy-ya! I’m Dongwoo but you can call me Dino oppa!” Dongwoo’s smile was getting bigger and bigger.

Suzy nodded and gave him a smile. She looked at Sungjong and tried to disguise the sadness in her eyes as much as she could. Sungjong introduced himself calmly, “My name is Sungjong”

Suzy gave him a small smile while trying to hide the sadness in her eyes. She looked back at the oldest one and gave him a faint smile. Sunggyu's mother cleared at the back, drawing attention to her. Their mother gave a fake smile before saying "I need to go to work so can you show Suzy her room. It's the spare room upstairs. I'll be back later tonight." And with that, their mother walked out of the door, leaving the siblings to bond. 

It was quiet for quite a while. Suzy looked around, amazed at the place. The house didn't seem big at all from the outside, it was lying. She felt a light tap on her shoulder. She stopped looking and saw Dongwoo smiling brightly at her. "Come with me. I'll show you your room" 

Suzy picked up her belongings only to be disrupted by Woohyun and Hoya. "We'll take it for you" Woohyun said as he took the bags away from Suzy. 

"Thank you" Suzy smiled. 

Suzy followed Dongwoo upstairs, followed by the rest. The stairs were designed into a spiral shape and it looked like someone had put a lot of effort decorating it. When they arrived at the top, Suzy was amazed by the hallway. It was stretch out with only a few doors leading to different rooms. "This house might as well be a mansion" Suzy muttered. 

"What was that?" Dongwoo turned around but continued to walk. 

"Huh? Nothing." Suzy replied. 

They finally reached the second last door. The door was painted white and the handle gold. Dongwoo opened the room and stood there like a doorman. Suzy chuckled at him and walked further in the room. "This room is quite big. Are you sure this is mine?" Suzy seemed to be worried that she was getting special treatment. That would probably be the last thing she wanted. 

"Are you kidding me? You haven't even seen our rooms yet!" Sungyeol went inside, sitting on the bed. 

"You have your own rooms?" Suzy asked as she started to put her things away. 

Sunggyu, who had been quiet all this time, answered her question. "No. They share rooms. Sungyeol, Woohyun and Myungsoo share a room while Sungjong, Dongwoo and Hoya share a room. I have a room to myself." Suzy nodded. 

"Yeah cos Gyu hyung here is old and he needs a room to himself." Sungyeol joked. Sunggyu looked at him and Sungyeol stuck his tongue out at him. Myungsoo lowered his head and shook it. 

"We'll give you some time to get sorted. We'll be downstairs so come back down when you're down." Sungjong said before leaving. Suzy nodded again. 

Suzy was left alone in her room. She could finally sort her thoughts out in silence. 

It didn't take Suzy that long to fix her things. It was quicker than she expected. She made her way downstairs and found her brothers in the living room watching TV. She took a sit next to Sunggyu, who didn't even realise that she was there. He was too busy saving himself from drowning in his thoughts. No one spoke as they continued to watch the TV. Suzy looked around and she only realised that they weren't even focusing on the TV. Dongwoo and Hoya were talking to themselves quietly, avoiding eye contact with her. Sungyeol was asleep in Myungsoo's lap while Myungsoo just listened to music. Sungjong was watching something on his phone while waving his hands in the air like a crazy person. Woohyun was on his laptop and Sunggyu... was watching something in mid air with a disturbed expression. 

"So which school do you go to?" Hoya broke the silence. Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to look at Suzy, except for Sungyeol. 

Suzy shrugged a little, "She told me I was going to the same school was Sungjong." 

Hoya nodded, "You'll be in his class then." 

"Do you go to the same school?" Suzy asked. 

Hoya nodded again, "We all do except for Dongwoo hyung and Sunggyu hyung." 

Suzy turned to look at Sunggyu, "I heard you're a doctor" 

Sunggyu was taken aback by what Suzy's said. He nodded slowly, "How do you know?"

"Mum told me." Suzy looked away for quite a short while then looked back at Sunggyu. "She should be proud of you."

Sunggyu gave her a small smile, too bad she doesn't. He thought. "Should be" was all he could say back to her. 

Suzy sighed, "What time does she get back?" 

"Around 11pm" Woohyun didn't even look up from his laptop. "You'll be asleep then." Suzy didn't reply, she looked at the clock instead. It was around 6pm. She only arrived 3 hours ago. 

It was quiet again, only for a minute because Sungyeol woke up. "I'M HUNGRY." He exclaimed. 

"Then go eat" Myungsoo replied bluntly. 

Sungyeol sat up, "Come with me Myunggie~" 

Myungsoo gave him a death glare before agreeing and standing up. "Yay!" Sungyeol jumped up. "You want some food Suzy?" Sungyeol asked as he walked out the living room. 

"No thanks" Suzy said after him. 

"Just come here when you want some to eat!" Sungyeol shouted back. Suzy didn't bother replying to him. 

It was 10pm and everyone went upstairs as soon as they finished eating. They all said their goodnights but before they went in their room, Sunggyu added tension. "Make sure you go to sleep and stay in your room when mum comes back." He gave her a soft pat on the head and a smile before entering his room. The others exchanged glances and walked in their room after giving her an awkward smile. Suzy nodded and walked inside her room, not even curious why Sunggyu said such a thing. 

Sunggyu sighed deeply as he plopped down on his bed. He laid down slowly and stared at the ceiling. He scoffed when he thought that he's mother would give them a break every night from getting hurt but he was always proven wrong. Every night, as soon as their mother got back from work, she would just storm in one of their rooms and start abusing who she saw first. She would usually just hurt one of them but as soon as someone tries to protect the other, they got involved too. It was mostly him because he couldn’t stand watching his younger brothers struggle in pain. 

Most of the times, she would come home early and one of them would be downstairs either watching TV or eating. She wouldn't even bother going upstairs, she would just hurt the person watching or eating. That was mostly Sungyeol. Even though he got hurt a lot because of it, he never learns. Sunggyu rolled on his side, trying to stay awake. He tried to think of a lot of things that would keep him awake but he was exhausted. Before he knew it, he was asleep.

Suzy crept out of her room, making sure no one would hear. She opened Hoya, Dongwoo and Sungjong's room slowly to check if they were asleep. They were. She went to the room next to theirs and found Sungyeol, Myungsoo and Woohyun asleep too. Lastly, she went to check on Sunggyu. He sure was in dreamland. She walked downstairs quietly, in time to hear the front door close. She held her breath and faced her mother. 

Her mother looked up and gave her Suzy a corrupt smile. "Suzy..." Suzy kept on a straight face, her lips formed a line. She looked similar to Myungsoo when she first saw him. 

"You promised you wouldn’t hurt them from now on."
