Eunsuh’s POV

I guess fate has its ways but so does coincidence. What happened that night wasn’t just emotions flooding out, but that also doesn’t mean that I would like to get back with him…if we ever were together, that is. The situation with Jonghun wasn’t exactly resolved. I still have lingering emotions, but too many things have happened and too many things have changed. It won’t be easy to just get together. Plus, I don’t want him to get antifans, and I don’t want to get owned by his fans, either.

Nevertheless, as of right now, we decided to let the band in on that we were once childhood friends, possibly a bit close, but we didn’t really give much details on that, since we weren’t sure, ourselves.

Of course, back then, we were more than just good friends. In fact, Jonghun believes that we would have been the perfect package, and we could still be the perfect package. I just shrugged it off. I mean, after that night, a lot of things changed.

The last thing he said was that he’ll wait for me. Just as I have waited for him, he said that he’ll wait for me. No, he said he’ll wait longer.

It did echo in my head here and there, but I tried not to make it my priority. In the meantime, we’re in that awkward stage of being friends.

Enough about him, back onto my life. I got an internship at Shinhae Law Firm and Shinhae Medical Center. NO, it was not due to connections. I actually took the tests, went through the interview process, and got the positions. I made sure I was treated fairly with others, and that I didn’t have a leg up because of my family. I hated getting all that “special” treatment. Everyone treated me differently, especially when I was little. All except for him…haha. Which is why I liked him.

I worked every day, except the weekends. In the evening, Jonghun would invite me over to hang out with the band, or to come by their practice studio and watch them play. I would also stop by their dorms sometimes to cook for the band members here and there.

That was my update on life, and what went on after the New Year.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that today I spent nearly the whole day with Seunghyun. Something about him makes me happy but lately he had been avoiding me. I kind of missed him so I asked him out…to eat. Of course, he would be the one to mistake that and consider it a date. Stupid.

Aha, just kidding.

I tossed from my bed as I snapped out of my thoughts. Lately, I have been busy with my own things that I couldn’t even have time to think out my own thoughts. I reached for my phone, which had the puzzle piece strap, right where it belongs. I held onto it. Even though all that happened, it was hard to just let go of it.

Suddenly my phone vibrated.  It was from Jonghun.

-Are you sleeping? 

-Why does it concern you?

I felt bad when I responded. I probably came off as a ...but he knows I'm not a , so hopefully he won't take it the wrong way.

-Just wondering…

There was a long pause…and I think I knew what he was thinking.

-Oppa, that day…was already more than a month ago…

There was another long pause before I had gotten a text back.

-I know. I’ll still wait, just as long as you were waiting for me, even longer

I told him not to do that, that I was already past the waiting stage…but he has a thick skull so he’s stubborn.

-Okay. Then just keep waiting. Wait a long long long long time X)

I responded with half honesty and half BS.

-haha, you’re so cruel

His sarcasm made me smile, which made me text the final message

-good night oppa (:

-good night Eunsuh.

A couple minutes later, my phone suddenly rangs, and it is of course, none other than, Seunghyun!

“Good night!” he exclaimed as soon as I pick up.

I let out a small laugh at his silliness and responded, “Good night. Today was fun. Thank youuu, Seunghyunnieeeeeee~”

There was a long pause afterwards...

“Hello?...” I asked, but no answer. I checked my phone to make sure he didn’t hang up on me, and he didn’t. “HELLOOOOOOO??”

He suddenly responded, “God, stop calling me that. You make me sound gay…”

“What?? It’s YOUR name, though, is it not?? Are you saying that your name is GAY?” I emphasized certain words, and I heard Seunghyun scoffing…or choking?

“My name is awesome, for your information. YOU just make it sound gay…” He mumbled the end.

“So…it’s gay?” I poked further into this topic…it was a bit fun to pick on him.

“No, it’s awesome” he responded bluntly.

“But…but…”

“For. Get. It. No point in arguing with someone with a thick skull like yours” He remarked as a joke that I easily threw back.

“Psh, look who’s talking” I giggled.

He just laughed it off before he wishing me goodnight. Or, rather it was just saying good night so that I’d get off the phone and not make fun of him.

I just couldn’t help it. He’s just so gullible. The things he does, makes me laugh. If I think about it, I don’t think there was a day where he failed to make me laugh. From day one, until now…he’s always made me feel warm and happy.

What is this feeling…?
