Chapter Eleven: It Could Wait.

Shanghai, I'm In Love

chapter eleven:

it could wait.

DING DONG!

Tao was waiting nervously for the door to be opened after Xiumin had pressed the bell. They were in front of Xiumin’s house in Korea. And Tao was nervous to meet Xiumin’s parents because it was his first time to meet his love’s parents. He never did that before because they never had boyfriend.

The door was opened by a beautiful lady that Tao guessed she was Xiumin’s mother since they looked alike.

“Umma!” Xiumin cheered, hugging the lady tightly, “I miss you.”

“Oh, my Minseok. I miss you too.” Xiumin’s mother said. They separated and she saw Tao, “Ah, who could this be?”

Tao looked at Xiumin nervously. He knew Korean, but it was limited, just a few words. He couldn’t understand what Xiumin’s mother was talking about.

Xiumin just smiled at Tao lovingly and held the rapper’s hand, “He’s my boyfriend.”

“Aw~ look at him!” Xiumin’s mother squealed, “He’s handsome!”

Xiumin blushed. He looked at Tao who seemed not understand and chuckled, switching his tongue to Chinese again, “I introduced you as my boyfriend. And she said you’re handsome, Tao.”

“Ah, thank you.” Tao said in broken Korean he knew, blushing.

“Get in, Minseok. I’ve prepared you your favorite dishes.” Xiumin’s mother opened the door wider and let them in.

“Minseok?” Tao asked whisperingly.

“It’s my real name.” Xiumin admitted shyly.

Tao smiled and ruffled Xiumin’s hair, “I love it. Can I call you Minseok too?”

“Well, it’s just my family and my friends in Korea who call me that. But, of course you can.”

“It means I’m special if I’m the only one Chinese who calls you that, right?”

Xiumin chuckled, hitting Tao’s tummy playfully, “You’ve always been special even if you don’t call me Minseok, Tao.”

“I know it.” Tao nodded, pecking Xiumin’s nose slightly.

“Where’s Appa?” Xiumin asked to his mom, “I didn’t see his car. Is he going out?”

“Yeah.” Mrs. Kim chuckled, “He’s going to buy snacks for you. He will be here soon.”

“I see.” Xiumin nodded, “Well, before we eat, I want to go to my room first with Tao. Is it okay?”

“Of course. Oh and do you need additional mattress?” Xiumin’s mother asked and then smirked meaningfully, “Or a single bed is enough for you?”

“It’s enough.” Xiumin admitted blushingly, dragging Tao upstairs.

“What did your mother say?” Tao asked once they had been in the cozy room of Xiumin.

“It’s about the bed.” Xiumin replied, still blushing, “Is it okay if we share my bed?”

“Of course.” Tao said, circling Xiumin’s waist with his arms loosely, “It’s not like we haven’t slept together anyway.”

“You embarrassed me!” Xiumin exclaimed, hiding his face on Tao’s shoulder.

Tao pulled him away just to kiss Xiumin’s pouty lips passionately, “Being a room with you will be hard for me, you know that, Minseok?”

“You stu-stupid ho- ba-bastard!” Xiumin covered his red face and ran out from the room, leaving Tao laughing for his life.

Xiumin’s father came not long after Xiumin had finished helping his mother with the table. He came in with a bright smile and squealing to see Xiumin.

“Minseok! My boy!” Mr. Kim hugged his son in a bone-breaking hug, “I miss you!”

“I miss you too, Appa!” Xiumin hugged his father back. They pulled away after a while.

“Oh, and who is this handsome man?” Mr. Kim asked, referring to Tao.

“This is Tao, my boyfriend.” Xiumin admitted blushingly, “He can’t speak Korean. So, let me be translator for you.”

“I’m Minseok’s father.” Mr. Kim shook Tao’s hand, “Welcome to the family.”

Tao turned his face to Xiumin to get the translation. Xiumin translated it for him and he blushed.

“Thank you.” Tao said in broken Korean.

Welcome to the family’?, Tao thought, Am I just accepted in his family? Oh, my God…I want to burst in happiness.

“What are you thinking?” Xiumin asked his blank boyfriend, “Won’t you eat?”

Tao smiled and started taking the dishes Xiumin’s mother had made.

Being far from Shanghai isn’t that bad.

Xiumin had just gone out from the bathroom when he saw Tao looking out through the window.

“Tao?” Xiumin called him, “Do you miss Shanghai?”

“No.” Tao shook his head, “I’m just enjoying the view from here. You know, it’s such a freedom to be able to go out without mask and cap.”

Xiumin smiled at his boyfriend’s simple statement, “I’ll take you around tomorrow.”

Tao nodded, “I’m waiting for that.”

Xiumin threw his dirty clothes into the laundry bin and snuggled under the blanket with Tao, yawning.

“Let’s sleep.” Xiumin mumbled against Tao’s chest.

“Good night, Minseok.” Tao said, kissing the crown of Xiumin’s head.

“Oh, once again before I say good night.”  Xiumin lifted his face up to smile to Tao.

“What s it?”

“I love being called Minseok by you.” Xiumin smiled shyly, “Good night, Tao.”

Tao chuckled before turning off the lamp beside the bed.

Tao was awakened by a row of knocks on Xiumin’s bedroom door. He saw Xiumin still sleeping, snuggling deeper into the blanket. With a content sigh after making sure that they, together, in Xiumin’s house, Tao got up and opened the door just to see Xiumin’s mother.

“Good morning, Tao.” She said. But, Tao didn’t understand so he just smiled nervously.

“Aish, that kid is still sleeping?” Xiumin’s mother peeked pass Tao’s shoulder and got into the room. Harshly, she pulled the blanket, “Wake up, Sleepyhead!”

“Umma!!!” Xiumin whined loudly, pulling back the blanket, “I’m still sleepy!”

“Minseok! Wake up!!”

“No!!!”

“Aren’t you ashamed with your boyfriend?! Tao has been awake!”

“Tao loves me! He won’t mind if I’m sleeping a bit more!”

“Minseok!”

“I don’t want to wake up!!!”

Tao couldn’t understand what they were talking about, but seeing Xiumin in his childish state couldn’t hold him from chuckling.

“Aish!” Xiumin’s mother panted, looking at chuckling Tao, “He doesn’t change!”

Tao pointed himself and then pointed Xiumin, talking a few words in Korean, “Me…Minseok…wake up.”

“Ah, so you want to wake him up?”

Tao nodded smilingly.

“Okay, then. I’ll leave him to you.” Xiumin’s mother said and patted Tao’s shoulder, leaving Tao and sleeping Xiumin alone again.

Tao sighed and got onto the bed again, whispering, “Minseok, wake up.”

“Don’t want to…” Xiumin mumbled, hiding his face into the blanket.

“Minseok…” Tao whispered against Xiumin’s ear, “Wake up.”

“No…”

But, Xiumin’s shot his eyelids up when he felt something hot and wet his ear.

“T-Ta-Tao!!!” Xiumin pulled himself together, curling at the corner, “Why did you my ear?!”

“So, you could wake up.” Tao shrugged, “Now you’re awake, right?”

“No! Let me sleep!”

Tao smirked and approached Xiumin dangerously slowly, whispering, “So, do you want me to do more…?”

“Yo-you wo-won’t dare! My umma is down there! She will kick you out if you do something i-ina-a-appropriate!”

“Really?” Tao cocked his head, pretending to be innocent, “But, she said she would leave you to me before she went down earlier. So, I guess it’s a challenge for me, Minseok.”

“Umma!!!” Xiumin jumped from his spot and ran down the stairs. Tao laughed hysterically.

Once Tao got downstairs he got a smile from Xiumin’s mother and a thumb, “You succeeded to wake this kid up.”

Xiumin pouted, “Tch!”

Tao chuckled and sat with them on the table since Xiumin’s mother had pleased him.

“Where are you going today, Boys?” Xiumin’s mother asked to his son.

“Hmm,” Xiumin tapped his chin, “I don’t know maybe we’ll go shopping or just take a walk. I want to show Seoul to Tao.”

“It’s good idea.” Xiumin’s mother nodded, “I will go to work now. Don’t forget to lock the door when you go.”

“I’m not a child anymore.” Xiumin rolled his eyes, “I know what to do.”

“Aish this kid!” She flicked his finger on Xiumin’s forehead, earning an ‘ouch’ from her son. She turned her face to blank Tao and smiled, “See you again, Tao.”

Tao recognize the last words so he nodded smilingly and replied with the same words.

“Bye, Minseok.” She kissed Xiumin’s forehead and walked out from the house.

“She’s working?” Tao asked Xiumin.

Xiumin nodded, chewing his rice, “She is.”

“Your father?”

“He is too.”

Tao nodded.

After cleaning themselves and the dishes, they were ready to go. Tao was so excited because he didn’t have to wear his cap and mask to go out. Seeing the excitement in Tao’s eyes, Xiumin chuckled when he was wearing his shoes.

“You’re so excited, aren’t you?” Xiumin asked.

“Of course.” Tao nodded cheerfully like a kid, “I was really waiting for this.”

“We have a long time.” Xiumin smiled, getting up on his feet, “Remember, Tao. You can cling on my shoulder, but you can’t hold my hand or even kiss me. Okay?”

Tao’s face fell down, “Okay…”

“Hey,” Xiumin lifted Tao’s chin, “We can cuddle a whole day if you want. We don’t have to go out.”

Tao smiled, “Just let me kiss you first.”

Xiumin chuckled and got on his toes to kiss Tao’s lips. But, when he was about to pull away, Tao’s arms around his waist prevented him for doing so. Tao deepened the kiss, trapping Xiumin’s between his body and the front door. Getting no choice to escape, Xiumin circled his arms around Tao’s neck, moving his head slightly to give Tao a better access to explore his mouth.

“Tao…” Xiumin panted when they were pulling away slightly since they needed oxygen, “if we keep doing this, we won’t go out from here.”

Tao chuckled, “One more.”

They leaned closer for another heated kiss and pulled away after they had running out of oxygen, again. Tao traced his thumb on Xiumin’s swollen lips and chuckled, “You look so hot.”

“Stupid!” Xiumin pouted, slapping Tao’s back slightly.

Tao couldn’t hold to kiss Xiumin once again against the front door. That kiss was sloppier than the last two kisses. Xiumin could feel Tao pressed their bodies closer until no gap between them. Wanting more skinship, Xiumin lifted his leg and circled it around Tao’s waist. Tao helped him by lifting another knee and hooked it too so both of Xiumin’s legs were around his waist.

The clothes were too much for them. Xiumin was the one who kicked his shoes off again and let the jacket fall down on the wooden floor. Getting excited by the new position, Tao lifted Xiumin’s body higher to the milky neck until the skin was bruised. Xiumin let out a soft satisfied voice and lolled his head against the door, letting Tao to explore his neck more.

“Tao…” Xiumin sighed when Tao started the exposed skin between his collar bones.

Tao felt his arms starting to hurt because of the unusual position. But, Tao didn’t want to stop. And he knew Xiumin didn’t want to stop as well. He felt a hand slipping under his shirt, it was Xiumin’s. The older let his hand travelling higher along Tao’s prominent spine, scrapping his nails because he knew Tao would love it. And he was right. Tao was getting eager, the skin between his neck and shoulder a little bit hard until he couldn’t help but yelped.

Feeling his arms getting weaker, Tao brought Xiumin’s onto the nearest thing, the couch. He threw his jacket and ed his shirt before kissing Xiumin sloppily again.

“Tao…” Xiumin whispered, “Don’t you want to go out?”

“Not now.” Tao grunted, against Xiumin’s now exposed stomach, “It can wait.”

Xiumin chuckled and brought Tao’s face up for another long heated kiss, “I’ve known it. It would end like this.”

“You shouldn’t have let me kiss you if you knew it would be like this.” Tao groaned.

“But…” Xiumin cut his word hanging when he felt Tao release his legs from the jeans and started marking his milky thigh.

“But, what?” Tao asked, still nibbling the soft skin in his mouth until it was reddened.

“Maybe I wanted this.” Xiumin whispered huskily.

Tao stopped what he was doing and looked up to see Xiumin’s lusty eyes staring deeply at his. He couldn’t help but smirked and lifted Xiumin again to bring the older upstairs into his room.

“Yeah…” Tao panted, releasing his hot body from all fabrics, before towering Xiumin’s smaller body, “Going out definitely can wait.”
