Dear Diary,

            A tiring and a fun day indeed. I’m starting to count how many nights I have slept late, reading these thick books about anatomy and all. I thought being a college student will bring you all the freedom that your parents have deprived you from, but sadly with the course I’m studying, it’s really different.

Good thing my class for today will start 1 in the afternoon, unfortunately it will end at 8 in the evening.Then I have to grab my books to study for tests, and finally, winter vacation. What everyone is waiting for.

            Waking up, I walked out of my room to look for Minjoo, my friend/my dorm-mate. Whom I recalled, will be attending her boss’/friend’s wedding.. Something she was excited about, since she likes getting dressed up and all. Though she told me the wedding is not needing too much stylish clothes and all, its her first time to be on such special events like this. Especially, that friend of hers as she told me, went through a lot with this man she is going to marry.

            I was about to go to school since my classmates were already looking for me this early, , when I received a message from Minjoo, telling me that she forgot her purse, and she needs it right away. Yes, that’s what makes her different from all these people I have been with.

            Wearing my all-white uniform, I went to the Myeongdong Cathedral where the wedding is currently happening, carrying these encyclopedia-like books with me.

            Going down the cab, as it stops in front of the church, I saw a lot of people were still outside the cathedral, and no one’s going inside yet. The cathedral’s door was closed, but I can see that something is going on.

            I went up to these set of stairs, only to see everyone looking at the young lady and a man near the cathedral door.

            I can see the lady was crying, as the man wipes the tears from her face. The smile from the man looked so sincere. My attention was caught by what’s happening, not noticing; I was walking nearer and nearer to get a closer look at them. And like everyone else, I’m anticipating what will happen. I even forgot to look for Minjoo first.

            I thought these scenes could only be possible in movies and in dramas. But I never thought I’d be witnessing this one.

            I saw how the man held her hands, talked to her, let the lady listen to the man’s heart beat. As her veil was then placed on her head, I can feel the young lady is indeed very happy, tears fall from her eyes non-stop.

            I hear the cathedral door now opened, as the man then kissed the lady’s forehead, as the man then finally enters the cathedral.

            I didn’t notice I was smiling all the time I was looking at them. Everyone as well, looked really happy, except for this tall young man beside me.

            He was there, standing a few steps away from me, looking at the sweet, soon to be married couple, with sorrow in his eyes. All the time he was looking at the couple, he wasn’t smiling at all.

            I was staring at him for a minute, but the expression in his face didn’t change. He was the only one who was seemed unhappy with what was happening, as everyone looked really joyful.

            I was distracted then by Minjoo, who grabbed me by the arms and dragged me at the side of the cathedral. I forgot she was looking for me, and her purse is with me.

           After giving the purse to her and a little reminder of how forgetful she was, I decided to head to my school now. Passing through these people again, I looked for the sad young man, but I can’t find him.

            I guess he was already inside the cathedral or worse, he left even before the wedding started.

            When my class ended, and I got back at the dorm, Minjoo told me that those two now married couples, where best of friends since when they were still young. They both liked each other even before, but didn’t have the courage to say it. I’m also was surprised that the man was supposedly to marry someone else, but the girl decided to sacrifice her own happiness for these two people who really loved each other ever since.

            It was my first time to hear such a nice love story, something I look forward to happen on me soon.

            With all these thick books covering me, I still wish to experience that feeling. That feeling that I think everyone around me had already experienced, that one feeling they would often talk about, that feeling that they say can inspire you, something that will keep you going everyday.

            Love is something a little distant to me.

            But I’m still willing to wait for the right man to come who would swept me off my feet.

            I gotta go now. Its almost 1 in the morning, and I’am still awake. Minjoo is already fast asleep, and I still have an early class tomorrow. I’ll write to you again tomorrow, if something comes up.

            Thank you diary for always being there for me. Don’t worry, if my love story then begins, you’ll be included on my list on who would hear on it first.

            I really pray that my love story will happen soon.  :)
