What's the mistake?:
A lot of the times us fangirls love to abuse the caps lock button. Our bias strips on stage AND WE GO CRAZY BECAUSE OUR FEELINGS ARE OUTTA CONTROL GFJAGFNAJGFAJ
But here's the thing. It's wonderful that your character might be spazzing out in your story but do you have to show it through caps lock?
I MEAN I REALLY DON'T THINK IT'S NECESSARY TO HAVE EVERY SENTENCE OF YOUR STORY IN CAPS LOCK. I MEAN MAYBE YOUR CAPS LOCK BUTTON IS BROKEN OR YOU DIDN'T REALIZED YOU HIT CAPS LOCK BUT ARE TOO LAZY TO TAKE IT OFF AND RETYPE THAT WHOLE SENTENCE.
But please stop yelling at me. OTL
You can spazz out another way instead of having caps lock.
EXAMPLE:
Kim Myungsoo looked at me. He looked at me. That y- mother er looked at me, how the hell am I suppose to react?! I coward in a corner and squealed silently to myself. My feelings couldn't be contained.
So how do I fix these mistakes?:
If you want to catch your readers attention because you're character is fangirling you do not need to have caps lock on, instead; use italics, underline, bold to show the strong feeling of how your character feels in your story. We don't need to have your character screaming at us because someone looked at her. Even though she's screaming on the inside she doesn't need to be screaming on the story OTL
If you want to use caps lock to get peoples attention or highlight a word; do so. What I mean by highlighting a word: like this, " Do you REALLY need to wear that outfit to karaoke night?" See how "really" is capitalized? That's highlighting a word but a way an author highlights a word in a book is by using italics, underlining, or bold that way it doesn't look so tacky when "really" is capitalized and the rest of the letters aren't.
"Do you really need to wear that outfit to karaoke night?"
Extra tips:
Don't over to the italics or bolding of words. If every sentence has an italics in your story that can be highly annoying.
It's like saying this is very important would you listen to me?
See how annoying that is? Only use bold or italics or underlining a specific word if you're trying to emphasize something.
