You finally adjust your pictures on the right direction and stepped back, smiling at your hardwork. "Ta-dah!" You smile at your admiration at your room.
*Its perfect!* You smiled brightly, but your smile vanished when you saw the room with the dull color. You sighed at that but smiled at last. *No matter, I'll paint them tomorrow when I bring home the buckets of paint I wanted!* "Ah~I'm pooped out!" You rested yourself on your bed and lay down on it. *2 more years to freedom... 2 more years till college... 2 more years to-* The door burst opened all of a sudden interrupting your thoughts, you quickly got up and saw the person coming in. *... him.* You continued your thoughts and uneasily looked at your 'good' uncle. "Dinner is ready, Yoonji darling~" he cooed, but not in a fatherly tone or way. It sounded more like you're his girlfriend. You shuddered on the inside but kept still and remained a calm face. "Oh. Alright. I'll be down soon." You said, hoping he would leave already. "Alright. If you wanna take a shower, the bathroom is just down the hallways. Next to your aunt and my room." He smirked and slowly shut the door. You just watched him as he slowly closed the door. When he finally did, you immediately went to your door and locked it up. You pressed yourself on your door and breathed fast. Everytime when it is just the two of you, you didn't dare to breathe so loudly. You repeated his words in your mind and grew frightened. "If you wanna take a shower, the bathroom is just down the hallways. Next to your aunt and my room." You got up and went to your window side. You pushed it open and looked up at the starry night skies. You breathed in the fresh air and smiled, you got on the window sides and slowly got on the roof. "Oof." You called out while landing your on the hard roof. You manage to balanced well on top of the roof and curled your knees up to your chest. You rested your chin on your knees and looked up at the sky once more. The wind blew by and the stars twinkled brightly. The atmosphere right now reminds you so much of your childhood lives. "Mom.." You whispered softly, "Dad..." You mumbled it out softly. "I miss you..." You said and a tear slipped down your cheek. The stars twinkled at the wind blew by again. "How are you guys doing? I'm doing fine. But aunt's husband is creeping me out." You said and sighed. "I just wish I can be free soon... I just can't wait..." You managed a small smile and sighed once more. You rubbed your hands quite cold as another wind blew by. You were about to get up when you remembered something and stopped. You faced back to the stars and started to talk to it. "Mom, dad... Do you guys still remember the time where we had picnic on the roof? On each of my birthday?" You chuckle a bit at the memory. "Daddy kept on slipping the cake and it always landed on our neighbour's rose bush, Mrs. Lee always comes out and scold us. Ha! Ha!" You laughed some more and stars just twinkled back. Your laugh slowly disappeared and you just softly thought while poking your inside cheek with your tongue. Finally, you asked, "Mom, dad, remember the adventures we always go to? Around the garden, around the living room, and basement. We found many old things there. Thank you, mom and dad. I had a fun childhood because of you guys, but it didn't last long, until, you guys disappeared from my life.." Your eyes started to get watery and you just sniffed a bit. You pushed down the large lump that was in your throat and just smiled at the stars. "I'm not crying.. I'm just... sweating through my eyes... if that's possible.." You squeezed your eyes shut some more as more tears came out, "I'm seriously not... c-crying.." You stammered once more but you knew you were lying to yo
