Myungsoo fumed as he remembered Woohyun’s little comment in the taxi that even Sungyeol who had maintained a stoic front went hysterical with laughter. He trudged wanting to go in to the kitchen in the Lees not-so-impressive house and saw Sungyeol was suspiciously mixing something in a white bowl. His eyes landed on another bowl filled to the brim with blended red chilies

The red-haired narrowed his eyes at him as he saw Myungsoo gaping like a fish out of water as it was clear to him what Sungyeol was doing. “Lock the door now,” he barked. Myungsoo, still on a shocked daze went inside and closed the kitchen door, locking it. “Hey, who told you to come in?”

“You asked me to lock the door,” Myungsoo replied defensively

“No, I actually want you to go out and lock it from outside! I don’t want you here,” Sungyeol angrily said

“What are you doing?” Myungsoo shot in an accusing tone

“None of your business,” he answered

“Are you making spicy chocolate cookies?”

“None of your business,”

“I thought Kyungsoo is the cook around here, and Woohyun…but he only does that for Sungjong. So what are you doing?” Myungsoo crossed his arms

“None.of.your.business!”

“Fine!” Myungsoo snapped feeling the familiar angry cloud bubbling in his chest again and made to unlock the door when suddenly Sungyeol jumped and grabbed Myungsoo’s hand as he was reaching to the door’s knob. The former raised his eyebrow questioningly at the red-haired “I thought you don’t want me here,” he said with a smirk

“Actually I don’t but who knows what type of devil you really are…I mean I thought I can guess what kind of person you are but I was wrong and I don’t want to take any more chances in case you turned out to be a tattle tale,” he let go of Myungsoo’s hand and went right back to doing what he did earlier. Myungsoo hated the tone he used

“You know I didn’t mean it like the way it sounded. Why are you still sore over it?” Myungsoo demanded “…and what are you doing?”

“ will you ever shut up Myungsoo?!” Sungyeol complained. It was dead silence for an agonizing five seconds before Sungyeol let out a scream and flail his both his hands in the air much to Myungsoo’s amusement. “Aish aishhh I hate this!” He then turned to Myungsoo with a defeated look “I just can’t stand that stupid greasy Nam tree okay, so I’m doing this as payback for all the things he did!”

Myungsoo grinned “What did he ever do to you?” because as far as Myungsoo knew Woohyun actually never did anything worth getting worked up over. Well not in the two days he had known him. His grin widened as Sungyeol seemed to stop in his tracks before sputtering and getting so red in the face for no apparent reason

“Um this…errr well I just don’t! Did you see the way he seduced the maid when he asked her to wash Jongie’s clothes earlier and yesterday he asked the waitress to pay for our breakfast, you still remember right? It’s frustrating!” he whined as he caught sight of a snickering Myungsoo, however his expression turned dark “…and what’s so funny about it?!” he demanded

“Hyung are you jealous?” Myungsoo asked in between his laughs causing Sungyeol to cough violently. Myungsoo patted his back but still silently vibrating with chuckles. The red-haired vehemently denied

“Of course not! I’ll have you know I used to date with the most popular-and iest- girl in my high school. I can get any girl I want!”

“Emhmmm,” Myungsoo mockingly responded “what happened to that girl?”

“Dump me for a stupid, arrogant fat- of course, what else?” he said darkly “ever heard the song ‘Nice Guys Finish Last’ Myungsoo? Of course not, a in looker like you won’t need to drown yourself in self-pity over a girl. I bet they come in hordes falling all over your feet right? You even have that creepy, hair rising stare that all the trashy heroes of that harlequin novels have. What is it? Tall, dark and handsome?” Sungyeol ranted.

“Yah hyung actually emm I don’t mean it that way,” Sungyeol looked at him warily as he said this

“I mean emm just don’t get mad,” Myungsoo hesitantly pleaded “Are you jealous of the girls?” Sungyeol seemed taken aback, his eyes widened and he gaped as he realized what the younger man was insinuating.

“Y-yah! Even if I were to fall in love with a guy, never in a million years would the guy be Nam Woohyun!” as soon as the words left his mouth there was a crashing sound right outside the door and both men in the kitchen looked at each other in shock. Sungyeol scrambled to the door and unlocked it, coming face to face with Sungjong who looked equally shocked

“What are you doing Sungjong?” Sungyeol demanded as he saw that two glass cups were on the floor in pieces while Sungjong was carrying dirty plates and a large bowl

“I-I came to return these to the sink,” he answered, still looking a bit unsure. Myungsoo immediately took the things on his hands, remembering that Sungjong’s right hand was still in a bandage. He went over to the dish-washer as Sungyeol took a broom to sweep the glasses

“Aish why don’t you ask for help Jongie? Where’s your slaves?” Sungyeol complained

“emm Woohyun-hyung ran…I think he got cut,” Hearing this, Myungsoo turned and saw Sungyeol froze

“Cut?” Sungyeol visibly swallowed

“Yeah, he’s the one carrying the glasses, I-I think he wanted to get to the…first-aid kit?” Sungjong uncertainly said

“Sungjong, what did you guys hear?” Myungsoo asked in a low tone at the flustered young man who in turn looked again at a still stunned Sungyeol

“W-we heard the last part…,” Sungjong replied, his suddenly dry lips

“!” was the only answer that came out of Sungyeol’s mouth and Myungsoo watched as he seemed to be tired all of a sudden, shoulders drooping and expression withdrawn. He asked Myungsoo to get out of the kitchen-nicely- and locked the door. Gently, Myungsoo led Sungjong -who didn’t move an inch since Woohyun left him- away from the kitchen as he locked the kitchen door from the outside leaving a distraught Sungyeol inside.

“I planned not to ask but what happened?” Myungsoo chuckled as he ruffled Sungjong’s hair, shaking his head

“None of your business,” he answered the younger man’s question

“W-what hyuuuung!” the young man complained

“Race you,” Myungsoo suddenly yelled, taking off to the stairs leaving Sungjong blinking in a daze
