You sat in the van and waited for Kris. The driver kept stealing glances at you in the rearview mirror as you sat in silence in the back seat. You were hoping other members would be going with you so that the two of you wouldn't be alone, and you hoped most of all that this wasn't a "date". You had to admit, Kris was one handsome fellow, and you knew he was interested in you, but you didn't really feel the same way. And besides, you vowed to yourself that you wouldnt get involved in any romantic, lovey dovey stuff while you were here in Korea. You continued to wait and lightly tapped your fingers on your knees as if to ease your nerves.

Back in the studio, Kris was having a small argument with one of the managers, Hyun Kyun. "But why can't I just have half an hour of free time? I promise I'll be back before 1," Kris said.

"That's not the only thing though, Kris. It's the fact that you're going with Mei Lin. You know you're not allowed to go out with girls yet," Hyun Kyun explained. "It's policy."

Kris sighed. "Okay. What about this: if you go with me, then will you let me go?" Kris suggested.

"If a few other members go with you, then I'll allow it."

"But-"

"Where are you going, duizhang?" Tao asked walking up to Kris.

"I was going to get something to eat, but our manager won't let me," Kris said glaring at Hyun Kyun.

"Ooh! Can I go with you, Kris? I've been craving a burger for a while..." Tao said patting his stomach. Kris wished he hadn't mentioned it to Tao. He wanted to go alone, with the exception of his manager, but if anyone else went, then they would just steal you away from him. Soon, a few other boys flowed from the dressing room and asked if they could go too.

"Oh, can I go Kris hyung? I'm starving and I don't feel like cooking anything," D.O. asked as he walked out of the room.

"Oh yeah, me too!" Lay and Baekhyun chimed as they approached Kris too. "I'm kind of tired of D.O.'s kimchi spaghetti," Lay teased. D.O. gave him a look.

"Fine! Fine! You all can go," Kris gave in. He was disappointed that he couldn't be alone with you, but he figured, and hoped, that there would be other times. Sehun and Luhan were approaching the group too.

"Let me guess. You two want to go get food with us too?" Kris asked.

"No, actually we were about to go back to the car. But since you mentioned food, can Luhan and I come?" Sehun asked with a cute eyesmile on his face. Luhan didn't want to go, but he was too tired to argue.

"Yeah, yeah. Why doesn't everyone just go with me and we'll all have a splendid time," Kris said sarcastically.

"Yay! Paaarty!" they all cheered and headed toward the van. 

Back in the van, Chanyeol surprised you when he suddenly stuck his head through the open car door. "Mei Lin! Hi," he said with the usual happy expression on his face.

"Hi Chanyeol," you said and smiled back. "Nice meeting you here."

"Are you heading back with us to SM?" he asked, hoping you would say yes.

"Well, not yet...I'm waiting for Kris-ssi. He wanted to go get food and he asked me to go with him, so I'm just waiting for him here."

Chanyeol's eyes widened when he heard you say "Kris".  He knew what Kris was up to, and he didn't like the idea of you being alone with him. "Oh," he mumbled and looked down.

"Chanyeol, do you want to go with us? You're probably starving from all the day's work," you suggested. You hoped he would say yes so that you wouldn't be the only one with Kris.

He looked up. "Yes!" he said right away. He was glad you asked him. It was like you read his mind. Just then, Kris and a few other members approached the van.

"Chanyeol, I'm guessing you're going with us, too, eh?" Kris said, cocking an eyebrow.

"Yeah. Wait, us?" Chanyeol asked.

"They decided to tag along." Kris pointed to the members behind him with his thumb. Both you and Chanyeol were relieved that pretty much everyone else was going too. Kris and Chanyeol competed to take the seat next to you, but Tao pushed both of them out of the way and sat next to you instead. The boys slowly filled the van and greeted you as they went in. The drive to the burger place was short; you just turned a corner and there it was.

"I think I'll just stay in the car," Luhan said from the backseat.

"You don't want me to get you something?" Sehun asked before he left.

"Ani, I'm not too hungry." Luhan said. Sehun nodded his head then opened the car door and ran outside, with the other members and Hyun Kyun following behind.

"I think I'm just going to stay in here too. I'm not very hungry either," you said.

"Are you sure?" Kris and Chanyeol asked in unison. They exchanged wierd looks with each other.

"Yeah, you guys go ahead. I'll be fine." You gestured for them to go. Both Chanyeol and Kris were upset that you didn't go with them. That's pretty much the whole reason why
