You heard the distant sound of music while you continued to walk down the hallway with Yeni. At the end of the hallway, Yeni opened the door to the room that led to the odd, blaring music. You've never heard the song before. It sounded like a mix between orchestra music and screamo. You followed Yeni into the room, observing the boys who were dancing to this unusual music. What was more unusual was that at one end of the room, there was a random backdrop with clouds on it. As they were dancing, the dance coach kept counting out loud to the beat. You weren't so surprised by their amazing dancing skill. Most of the time, only talented people could get into SM. As you watched them dance, you noticed one of the boys kept looking at you. His small baby face seemed vaguely familiar, but it never occured to you where you've seen him before. Everytime you looked back at him, he would quickly look away. Though every other minute, you would find looking at you again. Once the music came to a stop, the boys collapsed on the floor trying to catch their breath.

"Good job today guys," the dance coach said. "You can take your breaks now."

"Boys, this is Mei Lin," Yeni said pointing to you. Though exhausted, some of the boys waved to you enthusiastically. "She'll be your new translator. Be nice to her, okay?" The boys nodded.

"I'll be right back," Yeni whispered to you. She got up to talk to the dance coach. One of the boys stood up from the floor and approached you. You scoot back in your seat a little.

"Hi," the boy said with a big grin on his face. You bowed shortly in your seat. "I'm Baekhyun. What's your name?" he questioned you. Before you could answer, another boy with a hint of an accent, said in Korean, "Leave her alone, Baekhyun. All you're doing is scaring her." Baekhyun looked back at the boy. "What are you talking about, Lay? Since when have I been scary." Baekhyun looked back at you again. "Aren't I cute?" he asked you with a bit of aegyo. He faked an eye smile and held up a v-sign over his eye. You giggled and nodded your head. Another one of the boys approached you, the one who had wide eyes, and slung his arm over Baekhyun's shoulders.

"I'm D.O., but you can call me Kyungsoo if you would like," he said. "What was your name again?"

"My name is Mei Lin," you replied. The boy with the accent got up from the floor and ran over to you guys. "Wait, are you Chinese?" the boy with the accent asked in Mandarin. You slumped in your chair a little as the three boys towered over you.

"I'm half. Half-Korean, half-Chinese. But I'm from LA," you answered.

"Wah," the boy with the accent was amazed. "I'm Lay," he said in Mandarin.

You chuckled. "I can see you're lèi. You seem lèi," you replied back in Mandarin, misinterpreting his words; lèi also meant "tired" in Mandarin. You noticed that the baby-faced boy, who was sitting quietly in the corner, laugh a little.

The guy who claimed he was "tired" looked at you in confusion."No, I'm not lèi. Well, I mean I am...but that's not what I meant. I meant that my name is Lay."

You understood now and giggled. "Oh, I see..." you said.

"You can just call me Yixing if you want since it's less confusing. Everyone here calls me that anyway."

"Nice to meet you, Yixing," you said. Two other boys approached you now. The baby faced boy remained in the corner, staring at you and the boys blankly. When he saw you looking at him, he got up, put on his backpack, and left the room.

"Nai, nai," one of the boys asked as they walked towards you, getting your attention. A few of the other boys elbowed and scolded him for being so straightforward.

"Sorry," the boy said. "May I ask your age?" he said more formally.

"I'm 21 years old," you replied.

"Ah, noona! My name is Kai. And that's Sehun. He's the same age as me," the other boy said, pointing to the boy who asked your age. You looked at Kai in surprise. He seemed like he would be older than you.

"How old are you?" you asked Sehun and Kai.

"19," they answered in unison. The dance coach noticed the boys closely surrounding you. "Hey, give her some air. She needs to breathe too," he said. The boys apologized and stood at a proper distance.
