"I'll pretend that I'm not hurt, I'll pretend that you love me, I'll pretend to be blind... I'll pretend you're still mine."

"So where do you want to go first?" Hana asks Kris and Eun Hee who were both silent. They were currently inside a van with their mothers.

"I thought we were just going to buy furniture?" Eun Hee asks.

"Of course not! we're going to buy everything! from furniture to appliances!" Hae Jung cheers excitedly.

"Do we really have to do this now?" Kris asks impatiently, glancing at his phone wallpaper which has Tiffany's face in it; hoping it would calm him down and it did.

"Of course we do! it's still 2 o'clock! we have all the time in the world!" Hana answers.

"Ye-" Eun Hee started but was cut off harshly by Kris.

"We should be in school right now!" He said.

"Kris! don't talk to us with that tone! You do as we say or your father will know about this and you'll know the consequences!" Hae Jung scolds making everyone in the car silent.

A few more minutes into the ride, there was no difference except the tension grew more visible even to the driver. Eun Hee silently gazes out the window wondering why Kris suddenly acted that way. 

'Is it because he's nervous?'

'Is it because he's pissed and doesn't want to live with me?' 

She sneaks a glance towards him the same time he looked her way. They locked eyes, Eun Hee smiled but received nothing in return. Kris just stared at her with cold heartless eyes and looked the other way like nothing happened at all. 

'What in the world is wrong with him!? huh, fine two can play it that way.' She thought, looking back out the window with a frown.

"We're here." The driver announces, unlocking the car doors and getting out to open the door for them.

Kris exited first with out waiting for anyone and entered the furniture shop with out as much as a glance towards anyone. It was clear he was seething but no one knew why. Seeing this, Eun Hee hurriedly followed him and broke out into a run when she saw him in one of the aisles.

"Kris, what the hell is wrong with you!?" She asks, pulling his shoulder roughly.

"What do you mean what's wrong with me!? The question is what's wrong with you!? You're the one pulling shoulders!" He countered, glaring at her with so much hatred.

"What's wrong with me? hmph, one minute you're sweet the next minute you at like Satan's spawn! You disrespected your mother - no basically you disrespected everyone in the car! and you ask me what's wrong with me!? seriously!?" She yelled, taking a step closer, also glaring at him.

"Excuse me, ma'am, sir can you pleas-" 

"STAY OUT OF THIS!" They yelled together when a store clerk tried to warn them to keep quiet.

"You know what? I don't want to deal with this right now, just go choose whatever and let's leave." Kris says in a more gentle voice and rubbed his temple.

"If I'd have known better, I bet you're PMS-ing." Eun Hee mumbled, walking away. Kris chose to ignore her comment and got his phone out and dialed a number he memorized whole heartedly.

"Yoboseyo?" Tiffany answers a little out of breath.

"Tiff? are you okay? why are you out of breath?" Kris asks full of concern.

"Ani, gwenchana I'm just really tired from work." She answers.

"Why are you in work? School's not yet even over and you're already working? stop working too much if you want something you know you can always ask me no matter the price." He says smoothly.

"Really?" Tiffany asks with a fake voice.

"Of course. If it makes you happy." 

"Well..."

"Come one come clean and tell me what it is." Kris demands, smiling a little thinking about Tiffany's expression.

"Are you sure?" Tiffany asks, making it seem a little hesitant but is actually rolling her eyes on the other side.

"Just say it." 

"Well you know how my apartment doesn't have any television right?-"

"So you want a TV? that wasn't so hard to say was it?" Kris asked, breaking out into a smile.

"Yes it was! Oh and make it a flat screen 32 inch!" She said, breaking out into a victorious smile.

"Arasso, I got it. I'll try to get it today." Kris says.

"Jinja!? Kamsahabnida!!!!!!!Oh wait I have to go, work is calling!" She says a bit too hurriedly.

"Okay, I Lo-" She placed the phone down and laughed to herself for Kris's stupidity.

"Yah! Kris, what are you doing standing there!? where's Eun Hee?" Hae Jung says, approaching her son.

"Molla, I saw her a while a go but it seems like she was too excited to start choosing." He reasoned.

"AISH! Did I raise you to leave a girl alone? Why didn't you go with her!?" 

"I had an important phone call!" He reasoned again.

"PSH, what can be more important than your own fiance?" 

'My girlfriend.' He thought but kept quiet and followed his mom to where Eun Hee and Hana might be.

"Eun Hee-ah, why aren't you choosing anything?" Hana asks, looking at every detail of a sofa.

"I don't know how the house looks like and Kris isn't here."  Eun Hee answers monotonously. 

"Is something wrong Eun Hee? You better not give me attitude right now. Remember your future in-law is right here." Hana scolded, giving her daughter a hard stare.

"Ani, I'm just feeling a little faint." 

"Then i suggest you sit down, we have an employees lounge here." Someone said behind Eun Hee. 

"Tao! How long has it been since I last saw you? Oh dear how are you?" Hana says greeting Tao with a hug. Eun Hee slowly closed her eyes a mentally face palmed herself.

'How can I forget his family owns this company!? Pabo Eun Hee... PABO!'

"Eun Hee, aren't you going to greet your best friend?" Hana asks, making Eun Hee turn and offer Tao a fake smile.

'Omma, you really don't know what happened between me and Tao... We aren't even close to being friends now.' She thought, ing her hand out for Tao to shake but instead, he pulled her towards him and hugged her.

"Awe,isn't that sweet? but Tao be careful, she's already an engaged woman." Hana says smiling.

"Engaged?" Tao asks, pulling away from the unresponsive Eun Hee.

'Why the heck do you sound shocked? you good for nothing abandoning idiot!' She thought, her heart beating fast.

"Here you are! We've been looking for you!" Hae Jung says walking towards the trio with Kris trailing after her. 

"Tao?" Kris asks, noticing Tao.

"Hyung." He answers coldly, understanding the situation almost immediately. 

"Oh Tao you're here too! Send my regards to your parents arasso?" Hae Jung asks.

"Excuse me, but Tao can you please bring me to your employees lounge? I don't feel that well. Kris you'll just have to choose alone." Eun Hee says smirking unnoticeably.

'Revenge is sweet. Kris, my dearest fiancé, enjoy time with our mothers.' What she didn't think of is that she'd be alone with her ex- best friend. 

"Excuse me, and I'll sure to tell her Mrs. Wu, I'll go ahead." He says, putting his arm around Eun Hee's shoulders and leading her towards the Employees lounge noticing the stare Kris was giving them.

"Just call me when you're through Arasso?" Eun Hee asks, then left.

"Here we are." Tao says, opening a door that lead to a spacious room with a living room in one corner a fridge in the other an air hockey table in the center a pop corn stand a big LED TV on the wall where an x- box was attached to it. It looked more like a game room than a lounge.

"Impressive." Eun Hee mutters.

"Of course, I requested for all of these to be in the room." Tao said, removing his arm around which were still on her shoulders. Tao gave Eun Hee a smile and she felt her insides melt and do a flip. She misses that smile. She missed hugging her best friend. 

"Tao?" She asks, staring into his eyes which were looking at everywhere besides her.

"Yes?" He answers and looks at her nervously. He was expecting a slap, a punch - or actually he was expecting Eun Hee to do everything violent towards him for abandoning her before but what he didn't expect is Eun Hee's hug. 

"Eun Hee?" He asks, hesitantly putting his arms around her.

"You left me once because you wanted to be cool and get rid of the perfect girl." She states.

"I'm sorry." 

"I miss you." Eun Hee says and feels Tao's arms tighten the hug. He closes his eyes and pulls her even closer if that was even possible and buries his nose in her hair, breathing in the scent only Eun Hee has. 

He missed her.

"I'm sorry." He repeated.

"You say sorry but you don't miss me?" Eun Hee says pulling away giving him a frown. Tears were visibly falling from her eyes as she stares at Tao with a smile.

"I missed you Eun Hee. I really did but why are you crying?" He asks, wiping her tears.

"Nothing, these are tears of joy." Eun Hee says.

"You're too soft-hearted." 

"Shut up! and shouldn't you be in school?" She wonders.

"I was in school but Appa called and told me to handle a meeting since he's out of the country." 

"Ah..."

"Ah..." He mimicked, making Eun Hee slap his head. And just like that their friendship went back like it was never destroyed but Tao couldn't help but feel bitter whenever he thought of Kris and Eun Hee being together.

'He's just going to hurt you... and I won't allow that.'

"Kris, did you get Eun Hee? Where is she?" Hae Jung asks, examining a glass table that looked perfect for the dining room.

"Yeah, but she was busy catching up with Tao." Kris says remembering the way Tao looked at her. He was there the whole time, listening on their conversation. He saw how Eun Hee missed Tao and he saw how Tao reacted when he knew about their engagement. Kris can only hope Tao won't tell Eun Hee about him and Tiffany. 

"Why don't you just join them? Your being here is useless anyway you aren't helping at all." Hae Jung suggest.

"Arasso." Kris says and makes his way back to the employees lounge he opened the door and heard.

"Awee I love you Eun Hee!!!!" Tao screeches stealing Eun Hee's pop corn. Kris stopped. froze and closes the door before he could hear what Eun Hee has to say.

"You stupid idiot!!!!! get your own! I hate you!!" She screeched, throwing a pillow at his head.

Kris got his phone a dialed Tiffany's number.

"Yoboseyo?"

"Tiff, tonight you are having dinner with me and the family."

"But isn't Eun Hee going to be there?"

"Yes, just be there okay?" He asks and hung up for the first time.

'Why are you acting like this Kris?' He asks himself.

'It's not like you love her.' 

'But she's supposed to be engaged to me! and Tao that idiot betrayed me!' 

'and you have a girlfriend so stop your sapping.'  He argued with himself.

"Screw life." 

HEY!!!!!!! SORRY FOR THE SUPER LATE UPDATE! I'VE BEEN VERY BUSY AND SINCE NEXT WEEK IS A HOLIDAY FOR ME... I WILL UPDATE REAL FAST! AND ISN'T KRIS JUST AN IDIOT? GETTING JEALOUS FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON? I WILL EDIT TOMORROW!
