As the awkward silence lingered in the room, eyes wondered all around except for HyukJae, his eyes remained on Heechul. 

"Hyung, why did you do that?" Hyuk asks in a calmer tone. Heechul began to speak but the words never really came out. 

"I think you should just leave with him" Junsu said to Hyuk as gestured towards Hae.

"Aish!!!" Heechul let out as grew angry. "Gawd this has gone on for too long. When are you going to get the picture" he continued saying clearly bothered by the picture in front of him. 

DongHae behind HyukJae while Junsu has this sad puppy dog face on. Knowing that Hyuk isn’t one to raise his voice but there he was defending someone he didn’t know half as long as the majority in the room. 

"Since you’re too dumb to see and you're such a coward to say, I’ll just say it." Heechul said.

"Ya..." Hangeng said gently as he grabbed hold of his lover’s hand, trying to calm him. 

"No Hannie I won’t stay silent anymore. I’m sure everyone else know just these two don’t." small whispers went around the room as they gathered what was happening.

"HyukJae-ah, I love you and all but how could you be so blind" as he said those words he looked sympathetically towards Junsu.

"If we can see it why can’t you?" Heechul asked as he looked back to Hyuk. 

It’s like those words unlocked something that was blinding his mind before. HyukJae turned to Junsu.

"What does Hyung mean by this?" Hyuk asked.

"Nothing just forgets it." Junsu replied as he tried to turn Hyuk away.

"You know I can’t just forget, especially its brought to my attention like this." Hyuk replied while releasing his hold in front of Hae and focusing on Junsu.

"I don’t want to cause any problem" He said in a hush tone. 

"Kind of too late for that" Hyuk said as he looked around the room that was still silent and watching them. 

"Ugh, it’s been going for too long. He likes HyukJae" Heechul said. Hyuk looked to Heechul with a surprise face. As he looked around the room he could tell it was true just by the looks on everyone else’s face. 

"Sorry Junsu-ah, I didn’t know" Hyuk replied, sadness overflowing in his words. He couldn’t help but think about all the time he randomly ranted about seeing Hae and all the things he wanted to do with him in the dorms. Junsu heard it all, and he didn’t have the slightest clue how he felt.

"You don’t have to say you're sorry, I’m okay” he said forcing a smile behind teary eyes. 

DongHae has heard enough, without so much as a bye, he just walked out SungMin’s house. 

"DongHae wait..."Hyuk called after him as he started approaching towards the door, but stopped and looked back at one of his oldest friend with the saddest look on his face. 

HyukJae heart fell heavy in an instance. He wants to run and stop Hae from misunderstanding any of this, but he also didn’t want to hurt Junsu anymore than He already has. 

"It's okay" Kyu said as he walked up to Hyuk. "You stay here and deal with this, I’ll make sure that DongHae is okay" Kyu continued to say. "Don't worry, it will be okay." he said trying to reassure Hyuk as he put on a smile on his face. 

The atmosphere for the party was ruined. Everyone dispersed after leaving just Junsu and HyukJae in SungMin’s apartment. SungMin tried to be a mediator for them but it was pointless. Hyuk was lost for words and feeling completely apologetic towards Junsu that he couldn’t form words besides “I am sorry.”

Junsu didn’t want to hear those words, he had already come to terms with the fact that this thing he had for Hyuk was only between him.

The taxi ride back to dorms was filled with more silence. By the time they got to the dorm the silence was stifling them.

HyukJae’s text message alert went off, catching both of them off guard scaring them a bit.

“Sorry I left like that...” HyukJae read the message sent from DongHae.

“It’s okay, you don’t have to apologize.” Hyuk replied in haste.

“If I don’t see you or talk to you for a few days,

 don’t think too much of it...

I just really need my space” another message sent by DongHae.

HyukJae was once again lost for words. How did a night that was supposed to be so promising turn out like this? He thought to himself.

He dropped back first onto his bed and covered his face with his pillow.

Looking over at his friend clearly frustrated, Junsu couldn’t help but feel guilty.

“Sorry” he said one more time to HyukJae before he turned out his light.

As HyukJae replayed the events that happened in the night, the more he blamed his self for the way things turned out. If he had been more aware he wouldn’t be in this mess, where two people he cares about ended up getting hurt because of him.

“How did I not know?” he asked himself out loud as he smacked the side of his head. He didn’t know why but his emotions went into overdrive, forming tears in his eyes.

“How can I fix this? How do we move on from this?” He continued to ask out loud as he stares at one of his best friends back as tears roll down his cheek.

It’s not just one thing to fix, but two. The fact that DongHae stood there in that awkward situation, he knew it will backfire on him. This situation isn’t something he is familiar with and it was scaring him. He doesn’t want to lose DongHae, especially since he just got him.

The thought of losing two people he has grown very fond of, was scaring him. He didn’t want to have to choose between one, but he thought what if he had to choose. His heart broke a little bit at the thought.

HyukJae’s tears took over until he fell to sleep.
