A Hard Promise
She's MineDonghae sat up slowly; his eyes adjusting to the sunlight as his hand reached to rub his sore back. To say that he was tired and sleepy was the understatement of the millennium. He really couldn’t blame anyone for it. It was his choice to sleep on the floor beside Sooyoung’s bed after the leggy brunette told him everything that was bothering her. Sooyoung didn’t really need to say anything. He knew that she needed him by her side. But he didn’t really see the extent of the effects of Dong-Sun’s return until he found himself waking up in the middle of the night as she screamed and thrashed in her bed for the second time.
He didn’t bother to ask her what her nightmare was. It was more than obvious that it involved a certain jackass Donghae wanted to beat up so badly. The dark haired man hated the helpless feeling he had as Sooyoung once again sobbed in his arms, shaking uncontrollably from all the fear. Donghae really couldn’t understand how heartless and crazy Dong-Sun was to want to hurt her again after hurting her so much in the past.
Getting up from the mattress that served as his bed for the night, he silently gazed at the sleeping woman in the bed before him. It took him quite a long time to calm her down and get her to sleep. Despite the fact that he could use a few more hours of sleep in a more comfortable bed, Donghae folded his blanket and moved the mattress to the side before he went down to make breakfast.
Donghae had just finished setting the ingredients and utensils he needed to make some pancakes when a piercing scream echoed throughout the house. He was already rushing up the stairs before he could fully comprehend what just happened, nearly stumbling down in the process. Cursing Kwon Dong-Sun to the pits of hell, he rushed back into Sooyoung’s bedroom, finding the brunette twisting and turning
