Saving Her ( HIATUS )
Description
The streets where the only thing she'd seen, fighting was the only sport she played, running was the only thing she knew. For her it was survival of the fittest, strongest, and smartest. Foreword
A young girl, in her teens, turned the sharp corner and held her breathe. Four men ran past, each where nearly twice her size. Within moments their footsteps faded away in to the night. She was lucky this time, and she knew it.
Emerging from the shadow and retreating the way she had came, she limped silently, staying close to the walls of buildings for support. Though she hadn't been running that long, her lungs ached, craving more of the sweet, air borne, life sustaining substance, more commonly known as Oxygen. But, alas, she forced her breathe to stay slow and steady. Laboured breathing and panting would only draw more unwanted attention.
'What did I do to deserve this?' She questioned as she wiped blood from the corner of her lip. Laughing softly, she entered a small rundown apartment building. She already knew the answer to that question. And it wasn’t a pretty one either.
Seeing as the elevator had been broken since before she began renting a place to stay, the girl was forced to take the stairs, wincing with every other step. Reaching the fifth and final floor, making it to the door of her own apartment, she jammed the key into the sticky lock and jiggled it around until there was a loud click. In order to get the door to open at all, she took a step back and threw her body weight against it a couple times, almost falling on her face when it finally opened. She pushed the door shut again with her tired muscles. Leaning on it, she let out a heavy sigh. ‘Home sweet home’ she though sarcastically as she stared at the cracked and pealing wallpaper in front of her.
“I'm leaving this place,” she spoke softly to no one but herself 'I can't stay hear any longer, I need to start fresh... again.'
Limping away from the now locked front door, the teen lifted up the plain black fabric of her hoodie and let it fall to the floor in a heap. Soon the shirt she was wearing followed, leaving a trail of clothes from the entrance to the bathroom. Standing in just a dark grey sports bra and black sweat pants, she flicked on the light, waiting as it blinked once.. twice.. and thrice.. until it finally stayed lit up.
Her tired eyes fell upon the ugly hues of blacks, purples, greens, and blues that now marred the skin of her stomach, back, and arms. It always looked like this. Of course, there was a time when it had been perfect, unmarked skin in its place, but that was long ago. In fact, the young teen couldn’t remember when it had last looked unmarked and flawless.
It was time to pack up and leave again.
'Maybe this time, my luck will change...'

A/N:
Edited
wow, ok so I'm going back to re-read everything (see chapter 14 if you have not already) and I have rewriten the whole foreward, which has pretty much make it grow about three times bigger! I know I said I would just edit parts of it, but next thing I knew, there was whole paragraphs of new stuff and I liked it so I'm keeping it like this. But just a heads up, its may or may not happen to the rest of the chapters, so you may what to reread them as I re-upload them, but I wont force you too.
Comments, suggestions, requests, and critics fully welcomed AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IT FRIENDLY( but do remember that this is my first fanfic, so go easy on me and be patient :D ) And please subscribe :)
