Having busy parents is just normal for the Kwon kids. They are so used to not seeing their mum and dad often, but what’s happening now to their mum is really a different story. ________ has been working non-stop for almost two months already and she hardly even spends time with her children. It seems like G-dragon and his wife exchanged roles for the head of the Kwon family is the one who stays at home and takes care of everything when he was the one who is so busy and occupied before.

“Noona…mum didn’t even greet me…I guess she forgot that it’s my birthday” DK told her sisters when they are about to sleep already.

“Actually…it’s very unusual of mum to forget our birthdays…I mean…she has never forgotten it before” Gabby said and Isabella looked at her disappointed sisters.

“Mum is really busy with work like what dad always say…I can understand the situation actually…thing is…I haven’t pictured that we will reach up to this point” Isabella said, earning nods from the two girls.

“I want our old mum back…the ever busy her but still have time to spend with us…we barely see her now…I think…the last time I hugged her was two weeks ago” Gabby said and sighed.

It is really true that ________ barely see her kids already, for their schedules just wouldn’t meet. The mother of seven leaves for work even before the kids wake up and go home late when they are already asleep. She stops by their rooms to kiss them goodnight, but they are too sleepy to even sit up and talk to her even just for a while.

“It’s mum!” Gabby said while looking out the window.

“Who’s car is that? That’s not ours” DK said and they all looked at it intently.

“Where’s dad?” Isabella asked.

The oldest of the Kwon kids is being suspicious and it’s eating her up. The moment she saw her mum go down that car, she saw a different man and what bothered her is that her friend from school just told her that her mother has another guy other than her father and they are thinking about divorce. The thirteen year old knows what divorce is for their teacher once mentioned it during class and somewhat explained what it is. According to her, it’s a legal separation process wherein the marriage of a couple will be void.

“Who is that?” DK asked and Isabella looked out the window again.

“He looks familiar to me” Gabby said and the car drove off already.

“We have seen him before…that’s why he looks familiar” Isabella said with her boiling blood on a roll.

“Where? Is he one of mum and dad’s friends?” DK asked curiously and Isabella shook her head.

“He’s the one that dad punched during a photo shoot…as far as I can remember…that guy likes mum” the oldest amongst the three answered.

“But….isn’t he supposed to be in Korea? And why would a guy like mum? She’s already married and pregnant” Gabby asked.

“I don’t know…maybe he went here for mum…and…it’s not impossible for guys to like mum because she’s beautiful…she and dad have a lot of people who admires them…just take it from all the gifts and the sweet letters that dad gets every single day when we’re still in Korea” Isabella said and the two younger girls gasped.

The Kwon girls’ minds are messed up now and they don’t know what to do about it anymore. All they want is a happy family but if their mum is seeing that guy, the chances of being happy again is slim and they are worried about their dad for his going to be hurt by that. They cannot believe that their mum even had the guts to let her other man send her home.

“C’mon” Isabella got out of bed and went outside.

“Unnie! We can’t go out anymore….it’s late and dad will scold us if he finds out that we are still awake” Gabby said in a whisper.

“They wouldn’t even notice us” Isabella said while walking near to their parents’ room.

“OH! The door’s slightly open” DK said and they sneak behind the door and peeked inside the room.

From the looks of it, their parents are not in a good mood at all and it seems like they are going to fight. Their dad is doing something on his work desk while their mum is just sitting on their bed while staring at her husband. None f them are talking, but the girls can feel the tension inside the room.

“Jiyong” their mum called but their dad ignored her.

“Kwon Jiyong!” she shouted, making the girls jerk in shock.

“I didn’t know that mum can shout that loud” DK whispered.

And there goes the heated conversation and exchange of sharp words. The girls have never seen their parents argue this much and there cannot be much worse than this. It’s the girls’ first time hearing their mum swear and it shocked their whole being up. All this time, they thought their mum is the most angelic person that they know, but it changed now.

“I’m sorry that I forgot our daughter’s birthday…I’m sorry that I’m just too occupied with a lot of that I cannot even think of anything but work now…Jiyong...I know that things are changing and we are so ed up…all I want is for you to understand me…like the way that I have understood you before” ________ said while crying.

“Mum is crying already…dad should stop now” DK said worriedly.

“_______...this is totally different from before…OK…yes…I’ve been a busy like you and my schedule is just so hectic that I skip birthday parties and spends a little time at home…but…I’m so sure that I haven’t forgot to greet any of our kids on their birthday…I make time for them even if I only have thirty minutes to spare…I make sure that I’m still updated on how they are everyday…and I make it a point to join them during breakfast…but you? NOTHING….” their dad said and in Isabella’s mind, he’s the one who’s got a point in this conversation.

“You are missing a lot ________....you don’t even know now what’s going on with us…you are living like you don’t have a family waiting for you to take care of them…” these words from their dad shook the girls up.

Yes, they are being neglected already and they are just afraid to complain about it because in the first place, they don’t have any say on things for their mum is still going to work even if they all go against it.

“Dad’s walking out…run!” Isabella said and they sped off to their room.

The three girls reached their room, panting and with a broken heart. They just can’t believe that things are going bad for them already and their parents are twisted and messed up. None from the girls dared to talk, they went to their beds while sobbing and tried going to sleep but all they can think about is their mum and dad.

“I can’t sleep” Gabby said and sat up.

“Guys! Stop your drama now…we can’t do anything about this after all” Isabella said and the two girls can feel that their sister is the most affected amongst them.

“But unnie…we can’t just let mum and dad be like that…they are fighting…and they never fought that big before” Gabby pointed out and Isabella smirked.

“I’ve seen them fight even before all of you were born…trust me…this is not the first time…I’ve seen worst” she said, making the two younger girls curious.

Isabella witnessed all the hardships that their parents had to go through just to be together. During that time, she was still a little kid who doesn’t care about the world but she’s not that dumb to not know that something is going wrong. She was four when things between her mum and dad got so bad and all of the things that they have gone through are still in her memory though some are a blur to her already.

“They’ve been through bigger fights before…this is nothing” she said and covered herself with the duvet.

Gabby and DK were shaken upon hearing that, and in the girls’ heads there are possibilities that this fight can be repeated again. Their unnie seems to be telling the truth when she said that this is not the first big fight that their parents have been through. All they can think of now is things are not going to be right from now on and their family is not the same as before.

“Someone’s coming…SLEEP!” Gabby said and covered herself with the duvet.

It was their dad who came in and he lay beside DK silently and carefully. The girls are still awake and they can hear their father sobbing. He’s hugging DK tightly and she’s feeling whatever emotion her dad is feeling as of the moment.

Morning came and the girls are still broken. The moment they opened their eyes, they went to check on their dad and it seems like he cried himself to sleep because they can still see dry tears on his cheeks. They cannot help but pity him. In their minds, their mum is hurting their dad so much and it’s not right anymore, that they have to stop whatever’s happening and make their mother realize that she’s wrong and she has to change already.

“Unnie!” Gabby rushed to the living room.

“What?” Isabella asked while feeding Karielle some biscuits.

“Mum” her sister answered, earning a weird look.

“What about her?” Isabella asked curiously.

“She’s in the kitchen…making pancakes” Gabby answered and they all rushed to the kitchen to see if it was true.

The six big kids went to see their mum in the kitchen and it seems like a dream for them. After moving in New York, they haven’t seen their mum in front of the stove yet and this is the first morning that they woke up with her around. It’s usually their dad who they wake up to every morning and his smile radiates and gives them a happy mood. And seeing their mum now is getting them all excited for after weeks of not seeing her moving, they’ve already seen their beautiful mum already.

“No one’s going to talk to her” Isabella told her siblings before coming in the kitchen.
