Baramsang Garden

Love & SEOUL

August 30, 2021

Hyunseung and Hyuna decided to meet up on a beautiful, sunny day at the foot of Buramsan Mountain. As they started their hike up the mountain, they were surrounded by the lush greenery and the sounds of nature, which seemed to wash away the stress and worries of their daily lives.

The Buramsan Butterfly Garden was a hidden gem, nestled among the mountain's picturesque landscape. It was a place where colorful butterflies danced gracefully among the vibrant flowers, creating an enchanting atmosphere that seemed to belong in a fairy tale.

As they walked together, Hyunseung and Hyuna couldn't help but feel a sense of freedom and joy, much like the butterflies that surrounded them. They laughed and shared stories, enjoying each other's company and the simple pleasure of being in nature.

Hyuna, feeling lighter and more carefree, turned to Hyunseung and said, "I feel like a butterfly today, like a 'Nabillera' that has finally broken free from its cocoon."

Hyunseung smiled at her metaphor, understanding her newfound sense of liberation. "You know, butterflies are a symbol of transformation and change. They remind us that it's never too late to become the person we truly want to be."

As they continued to explore the garden, their hearts seemed to flutter in sync with the delicate wings of the butterflies, creating a harmony that resonated with their souls. The beauty of the garden and the tranquility of the mountain seemed to weave a spell around them, allowing them to forget, at least for a little while, the pressures and expectations that awaited them back in the city.

The time they spent together at the Buramsan Butterfly Garden was like a breath of fresh air, a much-needed reminder that life was full of wonder and beauty, even amidst the chaos. With renewed spirits and a deeper connection, Hyunseung and Hyuna left the garden hand in hand, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that they could always find solace in each other and the magic of the butterflies.

As they walked further into the garden, a particularly vibrant butterfly caught their attention. It was an exquisite creature with shimmering, iridescent wings that seemed to change color as it danced in the sunlight. Hyunseung and Hyuna paused to admire its beauty, mesmerized by the delicate and graceful movement of its wings.

To their delight, the butterfly seemed to take an interest in them as well. It fluttered closer, eventually landing gently on the brim of Hyunseung's cap. They both held their breath, not wanting to disturb the enchanting visitor.

Hyuna giggled softly, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Look at that, Hyunseung! It seems like you've made a new friend!"

Hyunseung couldn't help but smile as well, feeling a warmth in his heart at the unexpected connection with the tiny creature. "I guess it's not every day you get to wear a living piece of art on your hat," he joked.

They stood there for a moment, basking in the simple happiness of the encounter, as the butterfly continued to rest on Hyunseung's cap. The world seemed to slow down, and in that moment, their hearts were filled with a sense of peace and contentment that only the purest form of fluff could provide.

Eventually, the butterfly spread its wings and took flight once more, leaving Hyunseung and Hyuna with a memory that they would cherish forever. They continued their walk through the garden, their hearts lighter and their bond stronger, thanks to the serendipitous encounter with their winged friend.

As Hyunseung drove back home with Hyuna, he couldn't help but steal glances at her every now and then. The sunlight streaming through the car window gently illuminated her face, highlighting her features and making her look even more stunning than usual. He felt a warmth in his chest as he admired her beauty, grateful for the moments they had spent together at the butterfly garden.

Hyuna, exhausted from their day in nature, had dozed off in the passenger seat, her head resting against the window. Hyunseung couldn't help but smile at the peaceful sight, but he also knew that their tranquility would be short-lived. The demands of their careers and the expectations of their respective labels were never too far from their minds.

Suddenly, Hyuna's phone began to buzz incessantly, startling her awake. She groggily picked it up and saw numerous messages from Psy.

Psy: "Hyuna, you need to stick to the contract. Our mission is to promote both you and Dawn. You can't let personal matters get in the way of our goals."

Hyuna's face fell as she read the messages, the weight of responsibility settling back onto her shoulders. She looked at Hyunseung, her eyes filled with a mix of determination and sadness.

"I have to go. Psy is reminding me of my obligations. Thank you for today, though. It was wonderful."

Hyunseung nodded, understanding the situation all too well. "I know how it is. Just remember that no matter what happens, I'll always be here for you. We'll find a way to make things work."

Hyuna smiled weakly, appreciating his support. As they reached her apartment, she reluctantly stepped out of the car, taking one last look at Hyunseung before closing the door.

Hyunseung watched her walk away, his heart heavy with concern for her well-being. He wished he could do more to protect her from the pressure and the relentless demands of their industry.

When Hyuna walked through the door of her apartment, Dawn was waiting for her. He looked serious as he approached her.

"Hyuna, we have a dozen radio shows scheduled for tomorrow. I was thinking...maybe I should propose to you on air."

Hyuna was taken aback by the suggestion, feeling a sudden surge of anxiety. She knew that Dawn loved her, but she couldn't help but feel apprehensive about such a public proposal.

"Dawn, I appreciate your love, but I don't think that's the right way to handle our relationship. We need to focus on our careers and not let our personal lives overshadow our work."

Dawn hesitated before revealing the truth behind his suggestion.

"It's not my idea, Hyuna. Psy suggested it. He thinks it will boost our popularity and help the label."

Hyuna's frustration grew, realizing that Psy was trying to control their lives even more than she had initially thought. She now understood why Jessi had been so angry with him.

She turned to Dawn. "This has gone too far. I'm going to talk to Psy about this. Our relationship is not a marketing tool, and we shouldn't let anyone manipulate it for their own gain."

Hyuna expected Dawn to support her decision to confront Psy, but to her surprise, he hesitated. She could see the worry in his eyes as he weighed the consequences of their actions.

"Hyuna, I understand how you feel, but we need to be careful. We can't afford to upset Psy. I don't want to risk my job or our future in the industry," Dawn said softly.

Hyuna felt her heart sink, realizing that Dawn's fear was genuine. The pressure to succeed and maintain their careers was taking a toll on both of them.

"I know you're worried, Dawn, but we can't let ourselves be controlled by fear. We deserve to have a say in our own lives and our relationship. If we don't stand up for ourselves now, when will we?"

Dawn looked down, conflicted. He knew that Hyuna was right, but he also couldn't shake the fear that standing up to Psy might jeopardize everything they had worked so hard for.

"I want to support you, Hyuna, but I just... I'm scared. I don't know if I can take that risk."

Hyuna reached out and took Dawn's hand, offering him a reassuring smile.

"We'll face this together, okay? We'll find a way to make our voices heard without risking our careers. We just need to be smart about it."

Dawn squeezed her hand, still feeling uncertain but grateful for Hyuna's determination and support.

Hyuna and Dawn were invited to appear on the popular variety show "The Return of Superman," which followed celebrity fathers taking care of their children without their wives' help. The show's producers thought it would be interesting to see how the couple would fare with kids, given their high-profile relationship and busy careers.

As they stepped onto the set, Hyuna felt a mix of excitement and awkwardness. She had never been around children much and was unsure of her ability to connect with them or be a good mother. Dawn, on the other hand, seemed completely at ease and quickly bonded with the kids, showing a natural talent for fatherhood.

Watching Dawn interact with the children, Hyuna couldn't help but feel a pang of envy. She wished she could be as comfortable and confident as him in this situation. At the same time, her doubts about their relationship and Psy's agenda for the company continued to weigh on her mind.

Hyuna knew that she needed to confront her feelings and the reality of being used for marketing purposes. The more she thought about it, the more her anxiety grew. It wasn't just the pressure of being in a high-profile relationship or the expectations of their fans, but the realization that their love was being exploited for financial gain.

Hyuna couldn't help but feel a growing sense of unease. The memories of her past experiences at Cube Entertainment came flooding back, and how Hyunseung and her had kept their relationship private for that very reason. She was told told by the company to break it off with Hyunseung since the other members of Beast had complained. Her band mates were supportive but all the attention was on her. However, when they broke up and she met Hyoyong that is Dawn she felt that by letting everyone know that she would be respected instead she was let go from the company that helped her grow her career. She didn't want history to repeat itself with Psy and his plans for the company.

Her heart raced as she imagined the potential consequences of continuing down this path. Would their love become a mere facade, a hollow shell of what it once was? Would the constant scrutiny and pressure from the public eventually tear them apart?

Hyuna knew that she couldn't let her anxiety control her life. She needed to take action, to stand up for herself.

Hyuna sat across from Psy at the studio, her heart racing as she prepared to confront him about her concerns. She took a deep breath and began to speak.

"Psy,  I feel like we're being used for marketing purposes, and I don't want our love to be exploited for financial gain."

Psy raised his eyebrows and chuckled.

"Hyuna, you and Dawn are a strange couple. You dance together, write songs together, and compete with each other...it's very creative. But I understand your concerns. What's the problem?"

"I feel like I'm not given the freedom to grow on my own. I have tons of experience in the industry. I want to be able to pursue my career without feeling like I'm constantly being held back."

Psy listened carefully and nodded, acknowledging her concerns.

"I see what you're saying, but you need to remember that Dawn came to me first before coming to you. He was trying to protect both of your careers and not shake the boat. He's a smart businessman."

Hyuna felt uneasy at Psy's words. She had always respected Dawn's talent and work ethic, but she couldn't help feeling like she was being left behind.

"I understand that, but I still feel like I'm being held back. I want to be able to pursue my career and my love life without feeling like I'm constantly being used for promotion."

Psy leaned forward, his expression serious.

"Hyuna, I want to support you, but you need to understand that in this industry, everything is about promotion. You and Dawn are both talented artists, and your love for each other only adds to your appeal. If we can use that to our advantage, why not?"

Hyuna felt a sense of frustration and disappointment. She had hoped that Psy would understand her concerns, but it seemed like he was more interested in profit than her well-being.

"I understand your perspective, Psy, but I also want to be able to pursue my career and my love life on my own terms. I don't want to be used as a marketing tool."

Psy nodded, acknowledging her concerns.

"I hear you, Hyuna. Dawn told me that you were going to talk to me. That is why I have my answer prepared. If you want to make it big then follow my guidance. Don’t stray from it."

Hyuna felt a sense of confusion and disappointment at Psy's response. She had hoped for a more supportive and understanding approach from him.

"I appreciate your guidance, Psy, but I also want to be able to make my own decisions and pursue my career in a way that feels authentic to me. I hope you can understand that."

Psy reclined back in his chair and paused: "Hyuna, I know that you've been seeing Hyunseung."

Hyuna's eyes widened in surprise, her heart racing as she realized that Psy had somehow found out about her relationship.

"How did you find out?"

"As the CEO of this label, I have my ways of knowing what's going on with my artists. And I have to say, I'm disappointed that you didn't come to me first to talk about this."

Hyuna felt a sense of guilt wash over her. She knew that she should have told Psy about her relationship with Hyunseung, but she had been too afraid of the consequences.

"I'm sorry, Psy. I didn't mean to keep it a secret. I just didn't want to cause any trouble for the label."

Psy’s expression turned serious.

"Hyuna, you have to understand that this isn't just about the label. It's about your own career and your own reputation. If you want to pursue a relationship with Hyunseung or Dawn for that matter, you need to be prepared for the consequences."

Hyuna nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of Psy's words.

"I understand, Psy. But I can't help the way I feel. And I don't want Dawn to find out about this. I am keeping it a secret from him for now."

Psy watched her carefully, his expression disapproving.

"Hyuna, I'm afraid I can't support this. Your relationship with Hyunseung could have a negative impact on the label and on your own career. I'm sorry, but you'll have to stop all contact with him."

Hyuna felt a sense of frustration at Psy's words. She had hoped that he would be more understanding of her feelings.

"Psy, please. I know that it won't be easy, but I'm willing to face the consequences.”

Psy sighed, his expression conflicted.

"I understand where you're coming from, Hyuna. Let's talk more about this and see if we can find a way to navigate this situation together. But for now, you'll have to break it off with Hyunseung."

Memories of her past with Cube flooded her mind. She remembered the long hours of practice, the constant pressure to perform, and the never-ending cycle of promoting and performing. She had left all that behind when she left Cube, but now it seemed like it was creeping back into her life.

But then she thought of Hyunseung. He was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, always there to make her smile and lift her spirits. She couldn't help but think about him and how he made her feel alive. He was different from anyone she had ever met, and she knew that he understood her in a way that no one else could.

She thought back to the day they had spent together at Buramsan Butterfly Garden, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the fluttering wings of butterflies. It was a moment frozen in time, a moment that she wished she could relive again and again.
