Concealed Truths
[Changkyun's POV]
I was busy typing on my computer when I noticed the security light had come on outside, I hadn't closed the blinds on my window yet so the light slightly dazzled me. I frowned as I stood up to look out my window and noticed Kyungah wandering through the courtyard, her feet were dragging along the floor, her head was down and she had a small plastic bag in her hand. I watched her closely with a frown on my face, there was something wrong with her, she didn't seem like she usually is. I glanced at the time on my watch which said 9pm so she had been outside for most of the day. "Time to go and see what's wrong" I said to myself as I quickly dashed across my room towards my door.
I made my way towards the kitchen where the door to the corridor to the maid's room and the laundry room also was. I heard a rustling noise as I poked my head around the corner of the door frame into the kitchen to find Kyungah sat on one of the bar stools along the center counters with her head in her hands. I frowned as I watched her and she just remained still, silent and emotionless.
"I hope there's ice cream in that bag because I'm in the mood for some" I said loudly which made Kyungah jump as I waltzed into the kitchen confidently. Kyungah watched me silently, she didn't even respond with a sarcastic comment. I picked out two spoons from the cutlery drawer as I sat down on a bar stool opposite her.
She silently slid the plastic bag on the counter towards me as I looked inside to find everything I had written down on my list. "Thank you~" I sang happily as I pulled out the tub of ice cream but noticed Kyungah had stood up.
"Kyungah." I simply said as she turned around to look at me. She had no emotion on her face and her eyes were slightly puffy like she had been crying before. I didn't say anything but held up a spoon in each hand before pushing the ice cream tub in the middle of the counter. "I won't say anything." I told her as I placed one of the spoons in front of where she was just sat. I heard her sigh as she came back to the seat and sat down, taking the spoon in her hand.
We sat silently for a few minutes, simply eating the ice cream one after each other. I wanted to ask questions, I wanted to ask her how she was, but I knew it was better to stay silent at this time. If she wanted to talk to me, she would talk first.
"Thank you Changkyun... for sharing your ice cream with me" Kyungah uttered which broke the silence.
"... are you ok?" I ended up asking her when I said I wouldn't say anything. She nodded as she stood up and gave me a small smile before disappearing into the corridor behind the kitchen.
[Changkyun's POV]
"So what's this maid like who you keep talking about?" Hyungwon asked me. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"You don't want to know." I grumbled to him.
"Aye~ don't be like that. You talk about her a lot!" Jooheon teased. I shot a glare at him and he laughed quietly to himself.
"No I don't! Since when did I talk about her?" I denied quickly as I sighed loudly.
"Is she cute? Jooheon said she was the same age as us?" Hyungwon asked me. I sighed again and picked up my pen.
"Let's just carry on studying. OK?" I moaned as I gritted my teeth. They both smirked and nodded quietly as we continued studying.
Suddenly we heard a knock on the door. All our heads swung around to look at it. I saw Hyungwon and Jooheon's faces light up and I rolled my eyes. "You'll be disappointed, I asked Mrs Lee to bring some drinks up for us" I scoffed with a smirk as their faces dropped with disappointment. "Come in!" I called out loudly as the door opened and my face dropped this time. Kyungah walked in, carefully holding a tray of drinks as Hyungwon and Jooheon turned to me with smirks on their faces.
I watched Kyungah closely and she looked extremely awkward and nervous. "I told Mrs Lee to bring drinks. But..?" I asked her confused as she glanced across at me and held the tray in her hands.
"Mrs Lee asked me if I could do it." She quietly snapped back at me as I smirked. There she is. The Kyungah I know. "I hope the drin
