Concealed Truths[3rd Person POV]
Kyungah approached her old family house on her own and sighed deeply. Everything still looked the same, nothing had changed. In a way she wanted it to change, she had imagined coming back and her parents had somehow reappeared, but she also wanted things to remain the same, where her happy memories were and peaceful as it had always been. But there was silence and not a soul in sight, this was the reality and her parents were still missing.
Kyungah looked around before quickly entering the gates and making her way up to the front door before she was seen. She didn't know why she was being secretive or hiding from someone, but there could have been anyone watching her. The people who were waiting to send her away just like they had with her parents, or even someone wanting to hurt her. But Kyungah knew she needed to come back again to find something for herself since Kihyun wasn't letting her in on any information he had found. As Kyungah began searching around again for something she may have missed last time, she heard a noise coming from the front entrance which sounded like someone had come inside. Kyungah froze before she heard the noise again and quickly ran behind the door, grabbing an umbrella which had been left on her way.
She waited as she heard the footsteps get closer and closer and closer. She took a quiet deep breath in as she saw the back of the figure enter the room. "Who are you?!" She called out loudly as she swung the umbrella in the air but the figure swung around quicker and caught it in his hand taking it from her. "Changkyun." She sighed with relief as he placed the umbrella down on the floor and took the hood of his jumper down with an guilty expression spread across his face.
"I'm sorry for scaring you, I wanted to come with you in case you got in trouble or something, but I knew you wanted to come alone." He sighed as Kyungah approached him from behind the door. Changkyun looked at Kyungah up and down as he frowned and took her hand in his. "Why are you shaking?" He asked her as he took her other hand and held them tightly to stop her hands from shaking.
"I wasn't sure who you were." Kyungah sighed as Changkyun frowned to her, "I didn't know if you were the people who sent my parents away, or people looking for money, or..." She began panicking again.
"Do you think they'll send you away if they find you too?" Changkyun asked Kyungah as she nodded and dropped her head to the floor. "You're safe Kyungah. I won't let anyone take you away." Changkyun reassured her as he pulled her gently into his arms and hugged her tightly.
[Changkyun's POV]
After we had hunted around the house for anything we could find, Kyungah held some folders and files in her arms. She told me most of the things in the house had already been taken or had gone missing, but there were some important documents and files that her parents kept in secret spaces that only they knew about. "Are you going to look in them?" I asked her as she clutched onto them tightly.
"I'll take them to Kihyun for him to look at. He might know more about them." She told me as I nodded and followed her into another room. "This was my room..." Kyungah sighed as I smiled and looked around, it looked like her room had been untouched. There seemed to be nothing missing and everything was in its place, apart from the things Kyungah had already taken with her.
As we both looked around, I heard a sound of something hitting metal which caused me to freeze, but Kyungah must not have heard it. "Did you hear that?" I gasped as we both paused and listened out for another sound. "It sounded like-" but I was interrupted by the sound of multiple heavy footsteps.
We both froze as we looked at each other with wide eyes. There was no way for us to get out, we were trapped, Kyungah's window was too small and high for us to climb out of and there were no other options. "Come here!" Kyungah whispered to me as she pulled me over to her wardrobe and we quickly clambered inside together. I watched as Kyungah closed the door and pulled across a lock on the inside of the door which made me frown. Why does her wardrobe have a lock on the inside?
We were both curled up in the wardrobe, hugging our knees and facing each other. There was barely enough room for us but had managed to fit inside like a jigsaw. "Are you ok?" I whispered quietly to Kyungah as I saw the shadow of her head nod. We were in darkness so we couldn't see each other but I managed to find Kyungah's hands and hold them tightly. She was shaking and panicking again as we sat quietly, listening to heavy footsteps and male voices mumbling with what sounded like cupboards being opened and things being thrown around and tipped over, hitting the floor with a loud bang.
Suddenly the door to Kyungah's bedroom opened and the sound of it hitting the wall made us both jump. I squeezed Kyungah's hands tightly as we braced ourselves and footsteps entered the room. "This looks like the daughter's room. We don't need anything in here. They told us to leave it alone." A man said to another person as he grunted before the footsteps began fading away.
Kyungah let out a quiet sigh of relief as I frowned. They didn't need anything of Kyungah's? They didn't want her? Whoever sent her parents away, they didn't want Kyungah? I leant my head against the side of the wardrobe as I thought about everything in confusion. None of this seemed right.
After some time, and what felt like forever, the footsteps soon stopped and we were quite confident whoever came inside had finally left. "I'll go and check" I told Kyungah as I pulled the lock open and pushed open the doors slowly. I quickly glanced outside before climbing out of the wardrobe and carefully wandered around the house to check if it was empty. The house was empty and I returned to Kyungah who was still sat completely frozen in the wardrobe, hugging her knees. "There's no one here now. They've gone." I reassured her as I put my hands out to help her up.
She stood up with me as she sighed deeply. I sighed with her as I gently wiped the tears away from her face and ruffled the top of her hair. "They
