Concealed Truths
[Changkyun's POV]
"Oh Changkyun!" I heard behind me as I immediately grimaced and stopped abruptly from running after Kyungah. I rolled my eyes before turning around to find my parents stood in the entrance way. "You looked like you were in a rush, were you going somewhere?" My mother asked me curiously as I shook my head.
"No no. I was just going to get a snack." I said as I sighed quietly afterwards. There was no way I would be able to catch up with Kyungah now and stop her. "I thought you were back tomorrow morning?" I asked my parents as my father grumbled.
"The meeting didn't go as planned. You know why." He said in a stern voice before glancing at my mother and disappearing up the stairs. I looked at my mother as her eyes darted around the room beside me awkwardly.
"Are you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost." She asked me as I nodded with a fake smile. I was going to question my parents about everything soon, I just needed to find the right time, but my first focus was Kyungah.

The following day:
I wandered out of my room in a daze and squinted at the bright sun coming from the hallway window, I had dark circles under my eyes, my hair was a mess and I didn't even care. After yesterday evening, I hadn't slept at all as I had tried calling Kyungah all night but there was no response from her. Perhaps she had gone to see Kihyun, but I didn't want to call him in case she hadn't.
"Oh no! Look at you!" My mother gasped in a horrified tone as she ran up to me and cupped my cheeks in her hands. "What happened? You look so tired!" She whined as I gave her a slight reassuring smile and gently took her hands away from my face.
"I'm fine. I just couldn't sleep last night." I reassured her again as she pouted. As my mother began rambling on and asking me more questions, I went into a daze, I wasn't listening to anything my mother was saying but instead I looked around to see if Kyungah was somewhere, but she was no where to be seen.
"Oh Head Maid Lee!" My mother quickly called out as I jumped slightly and looked at Mrs Lee who had appeared.
"I didn't see Kyungah this morning when we returned, do you know where she is?" My mother asked Mrs Lee as she quickly glanced at me and I turned to look away from her.
"Uh... I sent her out to run an errand for me. She will be back later." Mrs Lee stuttered and I could tell she was lying. She had no idea where Kyungah was and neither did I. My last resort was to call Kihyun but I knew he would ask about what happened before Kyungah disappeared and it would be hard to lie to him, unless Kyungah was already there.
My mother grumbled before flashing me a quick smile and disappearing upstairs as I was awkwardly left with Mrs Lee in the downstairs hallway. "Do you know where Kyungah is? She didn't sleep in her bed and I haven't seen her all morning." Mrs Lee whispered to me in a slightly concerned tone. I sighed deeply before giving her a fake reassuring smile.
"I'll find her." I simply told her as she nodded and quickly dashed off to not attract anymore attention.

I entered the dining room to find I was the last person there. My parents were sat at either end of the table and my sisters were sat along one side. I put my head down as I walked in and sat down in my seat, ignoring the fact Chaehwa and Chaewon were both watching me like two hawks.
As soon as I sat down the maids began coming and serving all the dishes for dinner, placing them in front of us and around the table. I looked up and watched the door frame, anticipating Kyungah to walk through but it never happened. "Head Maid Lee, has Kyungah returned from her errands?" My mother asked Mrs Lee as she entered in an annoyed tone. I curled up my fists underneath the table. How could she ask about Kyungah? She's annoyed Kyungah is missing again, but after everything they did...
Mrs Lee stuttered as my mother sighed loudly and she asked again. Just as I hesitated to say something, I received a glare from Chaewon, from her glare I could sense she was telling me to be quiet and not say anything. Chaehwa must have told her everything that happened last night. I glanced across at Chaehwa who was sat beside her and she quickly brought her finger to her lips to also tell me to be quiet.
"Stop asking Head Maid Lee. We will sort it out when she returns. Let us eat dinner in peace." My father said as he interrupted my mother from asking for a third time, getting angrier each time. My mother sighed deeply as she sat back in her chair and stayed silent. "Head Maid Lee, can you please go to the wine cellar and bring us a bottle of wine, we need to celebrate Changkyun's birthday." My father asked her as I rolled my eyes, he doesn't usually care much about my birthday, he probably just wants a reason to drink some of his fancy wine. Mrs Lee nodded and began to turn around as I quickly jumped up.
"I can bring one! Can I go and pick one since it's my birthday? I will not touch the oldest ones on the back shelf." I quickly said as my parents glanced at each other before my father nodded. Anything to get out of this 'family' dinner.
I made a quick exit out of the dining room leaving the rest of them eating in silence as I headed towards the wine cellar which was underneath the out house in the back garden. When I was younger, the wine cellar used to be my hangout, my hideout and an escape from everything, and that's exactly what it was right now.
[3rd Person POV]
Changkyun carefully pulled open the door to the wine cellar, as he stepped inside and frowned when he realised the light was already . The door clicked shut behind him as he cautiously and slowly walked down the stairs, "Hello?" He called out, expecting someone to reply but there was no response. "Someone must have left the light on" He sighed to himself afterwards as he couldn't hear anyone being down there. He reached the bottom of the stairs as he looked around and that was when he noticed her.
"Kyungah!" Changkyun gasped as he ran towards the far corner of the last row of shelving. Kyungah was sat curled up with a blanket around her and she looked up at him with a red face, teary eyes and dark circles around her eyes. "Kyungah!" He cried out again as he dropped down to his knees and cupped Kyungah's cheeks in his hands, tucking her hair behind her ears and gently wiping the tears which had recently rolled down her cheeks. "You're freezing. Have you been here all night?" Changkyun asked her as he pulled the blanket up from her knees around and under her chin as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Changkyun..." Kyungah stuttered as Changkyun hugged her tightly to warm her up and closed his eyes to stop his tears from falling. "It isn't your fault." She said as Changkyun pulled away slightly to look at her. The two looked at each other emotionless for a few minutes. Neither of them spoke, both of them had stopped
