Concealed Truths
[3rd Person POV]
It had been a few weeks since Kyungah began living and working in the Im's family house with her aunt and things were far from normal. She was no where closer to finding out about her parents or Kihyun going missing, and she had to deal with Changkyun on a daily basis.
"Going somewhere?" Changkyun asked Kyungah as he appeared around the corner and hugged the door frame.
"Why do you want to know?" Kyungah sighed as she pulled on her coat. Changkyun smirked at the sound of Kyungah's sigh, something that he actually began enjoying and held out a small piece of paper. "What is it?" Kyungah asked him as she took the note and opened it to find a list of things. "Bread, gummies and sherbet ice cream" Kyungah read out as she laughed afterwards. Changkyun frowned to her and reached out to grab the list back but she held it away from him.
"Just buy them for me while you're out please, and don't put them in the kitchen when you get back, bring them to me." Changkyun explained to her as she nodded with a smile.
"I can do that" She told him as she finished getting ready before waving the list to Changkyun in her hand whilst laughing. Changkyun smiled happily and watched Kyungah disappear out the back door after her aunt.
Kyungah and her aunt arrived at the police station where they were told to sit down and wait for the officer in charge of her chase to come and get them. "I hope they've found something" Kyungah sighed to her aunt as her aunt patted her shoulder, also with a sigh.
"Yoo Kyungah?" They both heard a man call out as they both jumped up and followed him further inside the police station towards his desk.
"So you're saying my parents and my brother probably ran away and they didn't leave any tracks?" Kyungah summarised back to the police officer as he explained that they hadn't found out anything. He leant back in his chair and nodded his head as Kyungah turned to look at her aunt. "It doesn't make any sense! Why would they run away? How is there no trace of them? They had no reason to run away!"
"Listen~ You were studying in America for two years right? Maybe they got into money troubles and ran away." The officer told Kyungah sternly as Kyungah had raised her voice before.
"Aunt, please tell them!" Kyungah cried out as she pleaded with her aunt to help her but her aunt stood up and sighed.
"We will be leaving now. Thank you for your hard work." She said to them as she made Kyungah bow my head slightly with her.
"But-" Kyungah started to begin before she was pulled out of the police station by her aunt.
They both reached outside the front of the police station as Kyungah shook her aunt's hand off her arm. "Aunt! Why did you do that!?" I grumbled to her as I pulled a face. She sighed and began walking away.
"Ah~ Kyungah. They have done all they can. I don't know where your parents or Kihyun are. Let's just go back to the house, mhm?" Mrs Lee called out to Kyungah behind her to which Kyungah grumbled again.
"I'll be back later." Kyungah told her as her aunt swung around.
"Yah! Yoo Kyungah! You can't do that!" She shouted.
"I'm going to find out for myself!" Kyungah shouted back to her as she stormed off in the opposite direction. Mrs Lee was left on her own and sighed loudly before she made her way back to the house. She also thought something wasn't right but she didn't have the same amount of energy to fight back like Kyungah was and she also had a job to get back to at the house.
Changkyun watched out his window as Mrs Lee returned but there was no sigh of Kyungah behind her. He frowned as he sat back down, "Where did she go..." He wondered to himself with another frown.
[Kyungah's POV]
After the police were completely useless, I returned back to my parents house to see if I could find anything new. I had looked around the night I came back home but I wanted to look again on a different day when my feelings were different. Luckily the passcode for the house still worked and hadn't been changed so I could easily go inside, but I don't know what would happen to this house, the house me and Kihyun grew up in. Would it get sold soon? I doubt anyone was paying the bills with my parents missing and I definitely couldn't afford to.
I wandered towards Kihyun's room, if there was anything I had to find for information on Kihyun or my parents, I knew it would be from Kihyun. He would have left it in a secret place where only I could find it. I began hunting around in Kihyun's room, there must be something here.
I pulled open all his drawers on his desk, I knew they were all empty from the last time I looked, but it was worth trying them all again if it meant I could find something. But no use, there was nothing. I sighed as I pushed the bottom drawe
