Running into the room that I guessed was where my mother was located, I was greeted with the presence of my mother’s friends and a young boy in a wheelchair. Hesitantly I shuffled closer to where the boy in the wheelchair was currently parked so I could have a better look at him, when I could finally see the boy up close I could not help but think that I knew him from somewhere.

“Hi TaeTae” he greeted politely watching me staring up at him

“Hello” I replied shyly before looking over towards my mother confused who this boy was

“Taehyung honey this is your brother Seokjin” she replied to my confusion motioning towards the boy “Don’t you remember him Taehyung?”

“But my brother Jinnie isn’t in a chair, he hated sitting in one place too long” I replied even more confused as I walked up to the boy studying him closely “No this boy can’t be Jinnie, he has funny coloured eye. My Jinnie has brown eyes like TaeTae”

“TaeTae my eye changed colour when I had my accident” he replied softly as he offered out his hand pulling softly so I could climb into his lap. “It’s ok if TaeTae don’t remember Jinnie. TaeTae you were young when Jinnie had my accident”

“I don’t believe you TaeTae brother Jinnie, stranger you need to show TaeTae your hands again” he childishly demanded as he grabbed my hands thoroughly inspecting each of my fingers “Stranger have Jinnie’s fingers, they are so weird like an alien that scary to TaeTae” I muttered to myself as I compared our hands “Ok TaeTae, this stranger is you brother Jinnie”

“Jinnie missed you so much TaeTae” he whispered as he pulled me into a bone crushing hug

“Please don’t leave me again Jinnie. TaeTae scared by myself” I muttered into his warm chest that I had missed so much when he went away.

“Don’t worry Jinnie won’t leave my cute baby brother TaeTae again” he whispered in response as he started to wheel us towards the adults.

“This is TaeTae’s Jinnie. He says won’t leave TaeTae again” I yelled out loudly as we came in range of the adults “TaeTae demand that Jinnie carries TaeTae everywhere as no fair Jinnie gets to sit with wheels to move. You make TaeTae walk so he should too” I yelled louder as I stared down everyone in the room.

“Tae sweety, Seokjin he can’t walk anymore” my mother replied worried at my reaction “Seokjin was in an accident that hurt him badly, so he cannot walk anymore. Do you understand Taehyung?”

“Hmmm no. But if Jinnie can’t walk neither can TaeTae” I huffed out crossing my arms with an adorable pout.

“Of course, TaeTae can ride, I’ll carry you” he mouthed as he held me tightly against his chest “Jinnie will always let TaeTae ride when TaeTae get tired from walking”

“You are comfy so TaeTae will sleep here” I mumbled as I cuddle him and closed my eyes “You promise you won’t leave when TaeTae sleeps?”

“Of course, TaeTae. Just sleep and when you wake up, Jinnie will be here”

“Ok. TaeTae trust Jinnie” I mumbled as I let sleep wash over me dreaming of us playing together.
