Sungmin was lying down on Kyuhyun's bed with the young man's arm around him. Silence. If they just stay like this for the rest
of the time, but it is now 10pm and Donghae is probably waiting for his brother to go home.

"Don't go home just yet." Kyuhyun whispered wrapping Sungmin even tighter in his arms. Sungmin smiled as the younger rested his
head at the crook of his neck, sniffing the scent of his very own skin.

Suddenly Kyuhyun opened his eyes and looked up. "Minnie ah..."

"uhm?'

Kyuhyun straighten up, revealing his exposed chest while sitting down in front of him. "I keep on wondering, I've been seeing this
for quite a few times but I keep on forgetting to ask you."

Sungmin pouted his bow lips... "What's that?" Kyuhyun gestured him to sit up.

"This." Kyuhyun pointed behind Sungmin's upper thighs and revealed a few cane marks on it. He looked at the older one. "What
happened to this?"

Sungmin looked down and saw the past once again...

------------FLASHBACKS FOR SUNGMIN'S PAST------------------

One time, Donghae and him played in a garden and Sungmin decided to climb a tree. "Hyung! I want to climb too!" Donghae said.
The older Lee already said no but his brother insisted on going up, making them both fall on the ground. He knows how to control
his fall, but Donghae was quite shock that time, he got a big bruise on his knee. Their mom was so furious she caned Sungmin with
30 whips on the leg and upper thighs.

"You're suppose to look after your brother, what do you think you were doing there?!" she scolded. He kept his reasons to himself
since it might really be his fault that Donghae is hurt. He cried in silence and keep the shout he wanted to release whenever the
thin cane kisses his skin. He could just bite his lips as he waited for his mom to finish all 30 whips. The cane marks on his
upper thighs didn't fade even after Donghae's bruises got completely healed. And now it has been 12 years since then
and those cane marks never leave his skin at all.

4 years after, they are already in their teenage life. Their mom, their one and only parent passed away, leaving the Lee brothers
on their own. "Sungmin ah... you'll take care of your younger brother, understand?" he remembers his mom telling those words on her
death bed before passing away. He is 14 years old right now, and from the
time Donghae came out of this world, giving in to him has been a part of his life. He loves his younger brother, that's a fact.
But sometimes, he feels tired of it as well. Nevertheless, their blood relationship is what keeps him hanging to his brother and
his promise to his mom is what made him want to strive hard for both of them. He will never abandon Donghae, that's a promise.
He will take care of his younger brother and will give in to everything he wants.

"Hyung..." Donghae called him as he looked at their mom's grave finally settling with their father who has been in heaven longer.
"We'll still stick together, right?" Sungmin looked at him and extended his arm around his dongsaeng's shoulder. Sungmin looked
at Donghae and smiled sincerely.

"I promise..." He doesn't hate Donghae, that's for sure. He loves his dear brother with all sincerity despite having those thoughts
behind his mind. He's the only family he has and families must stick together. He doesn't have any plans at
that time... afterall, what could a 14 year old older brother can plan of except to take care of his younger brother's well-being,
his only family. Where will he start and how will he do it? He doesn't know.

Sungmin looked down smiling a bit. "These marks will always be a reminder for me to look after Donghae very well." Kyuhyun nodded and
smiled at him. Partly happy that his hyung likes sharing things like this and partly sad for knowing about the story as well. He
could have kissed the pain away if he found out earlier. But those marks will already stay with his secret lover for probably
the rest of his life. He rubbed Sungmin's shoulder and kiss it gently making the older smile.

Sungmin finally went home that night and saw Donghae sleeping in his room while sitting on the study table. He approached his younger brother. "Donghae ah..."
Donghae opened his eyes immediately wiping his mouth in case he drooled while dozing off. He was reading some of Sungmin's book regarding
music which he barely understand. He met his brother's eyes and smiled
childishly. "Why are you sleeping here?" Sungmin asked.

"I don't want to sleep alone." Donghae said acting like a baby. Sungmin sighed gently and patted his brother and lead him to his
own pink bed.

"Alright, but just for tonight." his younger brother smiled again, nodding. His hyung has said those words to him before, he always
says it'll be the last time he'll sleep in Sungmin's room and still Donghae knows it will never be the last.
Sungmin shook his head as he covered Donghae with a blanket. "Seriously, how can a 24 year old grown up still clings on to his
brother like this?" he said as he patted his brother's chest and he himself rested on the same bed.

Donghae playfully snuggled closer to his hyung... "I love you, Hyung..." Sungmin chuckled with what he heard before his brother
sleeps once again. He brushed Donghae's hair as his smile slowly disappear. He looked at the sleeping man's face... he could have
said sorry about his whereabouts just now... but he didn't. He looked down without any expression as he continuously brush
his brother's hair.

When did it all started? Him and Kyuhyun... it was not so long ago, it just happened that...

----------POV FROM LAST 5 MONTHS----------

During a night party in Kyuhyun's house, where all his friends are present, they had fun. Music, food, alcohol...it was a party
before moving up to senior year in college. Sungmin, despite being older than Donghae prefers to stay longer in school as he
wants to pursue music, he realised that apart from dancing that his mom never let him do, he enjoys music as well. And now,
he will pursue it in his own will.

While the rest of the people stayed inside, Sungmin isolated himself with only a bottle of wine to accompany him. He looked at
Kyuhyun from afar, laughing and giggling with his younger brother and occassionally kissing. He chuckled bitterly as he shook
his head.

Sungmin has developed his feelings for the younger for as long as when he first laid eyes on him. He thought it would be
reciprocated, his one-sided love, because he can always catch Kyuhyun looking at him discreetly and meaningfully, because he
can always see Kyuhyun admiring his talent in music. But one day, Donghae just confessed to him that Cho Kyuhyun is a person
whom he wants to be with. Donghae confessed to him that he would go for Kyuhyun...and what would a loving older brother has to
do but to step back. Keeping his own admiration to the same person deep in his heart. Keeping a certain distance from the person
he likes to give way to his dear brother's happiness.

Time passed by that night and slowly, all the guests has gone home. Leaving the knocked out drunk Donghae on the couch, Kyuhyun
keeping all the mess and Sungmin still with a now empty bottle of wine in the balcony of the high place.

Kyuhyun helped Donghae to carry himself on the former's room and to continue his sleep there. He domesticatedly remove the drunk
man's clothes and changed him into a comfortable ones before leaving him to sleep. Kyuhyun was still busy fixing things when he
finally saw Sungmin in the balcony, sipping the last drop of the wine he finished all by himself.

"Hyung..." Kyuhyun called. Sungmin looked at him and smiled as the younger approached him. "Hyung...are you still ok?" he
finally saw the bottle of empty wine at the side as Sungmin stood up and suddenly felt his knees becoming jell-o. Kyuhyun
caught him immediately. The young man chuckled. "Hyung, you're drunk, I'll take you to the guest room."

Sungmin blinked and tried to get to his senses but he found Kyuhyun taking his arm and wrapping it around his shoulders. The
young man's other hand on his waist as he supported his hyung to walk. Surely Kyuhyun never changed the way he treated his hyung
even if he became a little bit distant. He is still the same gentle and ever smiling Cho Kyuhyun to him.
Sungmin looked to the side and saw Kyuhyun's chin, when his eyes looked up a little bit more, he was able to peek on Kyuhyun's
slightly opened mouth. He sniffed and was able to smell the sweet alcohol Kyuhyun has drunk a while ago. He smiled. At some point
of time, he did teach the young man how to play a difficult song in piano and guitar and both will sit beside each other but right now... it was the
first time being this closed to Kyuhyun. It felt more than great.

When they finally reach the room, Kyuhyun opened the door and continuously help Sungmin to walk in, the door automatically
closed gently. Sungmin was already half awake, he knows it and yet he pretended he was so drunk so as the young man could still
nurse him. When they reach the middle of the big guest room, Sungmin suddenly let his other arm travel on Kyuhyun's chest before
wrapping it around his neck and pressed his lips against the young man's slightly parted one. Sungmin breathe out the scent of
the alcohol from his mouth as he continuously pressed his mouth to the other's. Kyuhyun was caught off guarded that time, making
him unable to respond and who would actually thought Sungmin hyung would kiss him?

Sungmin break the kiss as he laughed to himself when he get no response from him. He patted Kyuhyun's face as he turned his
back, his eyes are seemingly watery. "Sorry, Kyuhyun ah... hyung is just so drunk."

True that Kyuhyun was unable to respond, but that doesn't mean he didn't like it. He liked his Sungmin hyung, he liked him even
before he got the courage to come inside the bakeshop his hyung is working at. He started liking him when he heard the great
stories of his friends about how good Sungmin is in their class. He started liking him when Sungmin walked passed him when he was
just about to pass his registration form in the school. And he had started loving him every single day he spends time in music class
with Lee Sungmin.

However, when a certain Lee Donghae who happened to be his hyung's younger brother came to him and confessed to him and knowing
that this is the reason why Sungmin became distant to him, he thought the older man doesn't feel a thing for him. He liked
Donghae as well, he's probably the most caring person he has ever met in school, he likes Donghae but not as much as Sungmin
hyung...and now that Sungmin came to him initiating such a precious action, he didn't stop himself from grabbing his hyung's
arms and turning the drunken's body to face him. He leaned towards the older man
making their lips meet for the second time. He has kissed Donghae for a lot of times since they started dating and this is the
first time he has shared a kiss with Sungmin and yet the older Lee's lips seemed to be more sweet and desirable to him, as if
these lips fit his more than Donghae's.

"Hyung...stay with me." Kyuhyun whispered not letting go of the older's arm. Sungmin saw those burning eyes close to him and
thus he pulled Kyuhyun for another kiss making them fell halfly on the bed where their first secret happened.

Before dawn breaks, Sungmin sat up and started dressing up. Kyuhyun closed his eyes hard before opening it. "Hyung, what are
you doing?" he asked with his sleepy voice.

"Donghae might wake up without you beside him. You should go to your own room now. I'm going home." he said refusing to look
at the young man.

It didn't sink to his mind at all. They spend a night together, making love but Sungmin's tone doesn't sound like something
exquisite happened between them. "Hyung...we- what have become of us?"

Sungmin stopped pulling his sock and looked down. What has become of them? They've become liars and yet he cannot deny himself
the pleasure of such lie. What has become of them? Is he supposed to say they are lovers? What about Kyuhyun and Donghae? He
sighed deeply. He heard movements behind him and realised that Kyuhyun sat up behind him wrapping him in his long arms, letting him
feel the young man's body again. Sungmin closed his eyes...he felt sorry for his brother for what sinfulness he is doing
right now. He looked at Kyuhyun to the side, his eyes on him. "Shall I break up with Donghae?" he asked.

Just thinking about him betraying his younger brother makes Sungmin wants to hang himself. He is guilty of a crime that he
enjoyed a lot, that made him happy for a while. He closed his eyes. "Kyuhyun ah... my brother loves you alot. You should know
that."

"And you?" he asked meeting Sungmin's slightly watery eyes. "You don't feel a thing? We just released our body heat just now,
is that it? Hyung... tell me."

Sungmin looked down. Of course, it's more than just a body heat. He likes Kyuhyun, in fact, he loves the young man. But he cannot
let go of the fact that Donghae is his younger brother and that he first confessed to the young man and that he promised their
mother that he will always take care and give in to Donghae and... a lot of reasons more. He swallowed deeply "maybe."
he said letting Kyuhyun's eyebrows crossed and be upset with what he heard but he didn't bother looking at the younger man
anymore. Instead, he stood up and reached for the door.

Kyuhyun jumped from the bed letting his ness reveal inside the room, he doesn't care, his hyung has seen it and tasted it
just now so there's no need for courtesy. He grab a hold of Sungmin's arm tight. "Maybe? That's it?" he asked and freed a chuckle.

Sungmin calmly looked away. "Hyung... it's more than that to me... and I think to you as well." Sungmin met his eyes sharply.
He then closed his eyes after a moment of silence. "I don't want us to hurt my brother." he said. "What we did just now-"

Kyuhyun chuckled mockingly. "You didn't think of him while we're at it." Sungmin looked at the young man, feeling insulted with
what he said. Kyuhyun was not sorry at all. "I'll keep Donghae if that's what you want..." Sungmin nodded at him. However,
before he could completely reach for the door, Kyuhyun turned his short body and pressed his lips towards the older one wrapping
him in his arms and pressing his body against the older man.
"and then...you have to keep me... Sungmin ah..."

Sungmin looked at the younger and seeing that Kyuhyun shares the same desire and affection as him... he wasn't able to stop
himself from making yet another sin that night. He is sorry for forgetting his brother while being in Kyuhyun's arms everytime.
Moreover, he is sorry for his brother for not feeling sorry at all.

For 5 months now...they've been keeping everything away from Donghae. They've mastered their lies. Not meeting each other's
eyes as much whenever they are with Donghae, treating each other like good friends
in the music class, not minding the overly public display of Kyuhyun and Donghae's affection. They've mastered every single
eye-talks, secret messages and when the night comes... they escape from reality.

Author's note: Ah... I'm quite disappointed with myself. :(
I told myself to make this a 4chapter long fanfiction and yet
it turned out to be longer than I expected...
Anyways, I hope you are enjoying the progress of my story.
How is it, so far?
I actually want my 2 Lees to be both deserving for Kyuhyun's
love so for those of you who are wishing for Eunhyuk's
appearance..... I'm quite stressed with my whole life...
it might be quite tough chehehehhe...but let's not spoil the story.
Please don't bash me... I'm a Kyumin shipper...
I just want some complications >.< kekeekekkeekeke!
