"Ah! Just a few more days of school! Semester break, here I come!"

Aaron said happily as he walked with Wayne and Ben going home. The two couldn't help but notice how he was smiling the whole time. "I know that smile." Ben said. Wayne looked at him. "What kind of smile?" he asked. "The smile he has when he's so in love." Ben said. Ben and Wayne smiled at each other, and gave each other a high five. 

"Hey, you two..." Aaron said seriously as he looked back at them. "Don't be like that, please!" he said giddily. Ben laughed at him. "Aiyo, you're like a giddy school girl when you're in love." Ben commented. "It's OK, Pets is a guy anyway." Wayne said. Aaron just smiled as he continued walking. "I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to happiness. And this time, this happiness is for real. I think she's the one." Aaron said, smiling to himself. "You said that to Joanne. Also to Gui Gui. And to Lyla." Ben reminded him. 

"But I'm sure this time. Pets is the one. I can envision our future together." Aaron said. "The question is, does she also feel the same way? And what would you do if she decides to go back to Canada?" Wayne said. That thought made Aaron sad. He let out a sigh as he continued walking. "Love knows no distance." Aaron said. "But, does she like you the way you like her?  Remember, she likes girls too." Ben told him. 

Aaron turned to face them. "Guys, please be happy for me!" he pleaded. "We are happy for you. It's just that, it's hard to deal with you when you're broken hearted." Ben said. Wayne nodded in agreement. "But, you can be happy for a moment, and enjoy Pets' company. How about making happy memories together, right?" Wayne said. "Are you suggesting Aaron to ask Pets for a date?" Ben asked Wayne. Wayne just smiled. Then, Aaron smiled at him. Wayne did gave him an idea to be much closer to Pets. "Date, huh?" he said. 

"But, I'm just curious. What is it that you liked about Pets? Didn't she stole your girlfriend before?" Wayne asked Aaron. Aaron paused for a while as he remembered the day he fell in love with Pets. 

[Flashback in High School]

Aaron rushed to the back of the cafeteria of the school with some left over food on a paper bag he's holding. "Cookie would love this." he thought. As he made his turn, he found Pets with the resident school cat, Cookie. 

He let out a sigh, as the smile on his face disappeared. "First, my girlfriend. And now, Cookie?" he thought angrily. "Here, Cookie. Have some more!" Pets cooed at the cat. He paused for a while, and observed her. While she looked tough and boyish outside, she was a different Pets right now. She's like a little kid playing with her pet cat. 

He watched as she scratched Cookie's chin. "Who's the good cat? It's Cookie!" she said in childish voice. Aaron found himself smiling as he watched her more. "Cookie, I love you so much!" she said as she lifted the cat in the air. "Well, we just didn't love the same girl. We also love the same cat." he thought.

Aaron was walking towards the baseball field, when he saw Sylvia, Wes and Pets together. "But I want chocolates!" Sylvia whined at Wes. "You had more than enough. Stop it." Wes told her. Pets smiled at Sylvia. "Here, you can have mine." she told him. 

Sylvia smiled at Pets as she snatched the chocolate bar from her. "Thank you, Pei Ci! You're the best!" she said. Then, she looked at Wes and stuck a tongue at him. "Ah, Pei Ci... don't spoil her! Her dentist said to not eat too much sweets!" Wes scolded her. "Hey, do you know, chocolates makes a girl very happy?" Pets told her. 

From where he is standing, he looked at Pets, and saw how lovely she is as she smiled at her friends. He found himself mesmerized by the way she smiled. 

"Aaron, practice time!" he heard his team mate say. He threw one last look at Pets before making his way to the baseball field.

"Cookie, I'm here!"

Pets paused upon seeing Cookie with Aaron. Aaron looked up at her and smiled. "Hi..." he said. Pets politely smiled at him. "Hey..." she said. Both of them were silent for a while. "Uhmmm... I just bought some food for Cookie." he said as he stood up. "Me too." Pets said. 

Cookie walked up to Pets, and rubbed her body to her leg. Pets knelt down, and lifted Cookie. "Cookie is such a cutie!" Pets cooed at the cat. The cat purred at her, making Aaron smile. 

"I guess, I'll leave you with Cookie for a while..." Aaron said. "Well, we can both feed Cookie, right?" Pets told him. "Well, that is if you want to stay with me. I know you're mad at me because of Jenna." she added. "Well, I'd love to stay with you Cookie." Aaron said. Pets looked up at him, and smile. 

As she smiled, Aaron felt his heart beat fast. "Cookie, Ya Lun ge ge is staying with us to play!" Pets said in her most childish and girly voice. Aaron couldn't help but smile at her.

Aaron passed by the classroom of Class 2-B, and as his habit, he would always try peek inside to have a glimpse of Pets. This time, he saw her with Sylvia and Diana, and the two girls were consoling her. 

"Hey, don't cry anymore, Pei Ci..." Sylvia said. He could hear her muffled sob. "It's not your fault." Diana told her. "But... but Cookie..." Pets said as she cried. "Something happened to Cookie?" he thought. Then, he saw Wes and Dylan rush inside the classroom. "We really can't find Cookie." Wes said. This made Pets cry even more. "Don't worry, I'll ask around if anyone has seen Cookie, all right?" Dylan told them. 

"It's my fault. I shouldn't have left Cookie alone." Pets said as she cried. Aaron felt his chest tighten seeing Pets cry like that. He immediately rushed to the back of the  school cafeteria to find Cookie. 

"Cookie? Where are you Cookie? Please come out!" he said as he looked around. He won't stop until he's able to find a cat. He won't stop until he could make Pets stop crying. Time has passed, and he had searched all of the places where Cookie would go, but still he can't find her. He was about to give up, but the thought of Pets crying made him feel hurt. "I need to find Cookie. Girl, where are you?"

Then, he heard a soft meow from inside a box. "Cookie?" he called. He immediately went to the box, and there, he found Cookie. But she isn't alone, she's with her kittens. 

He immediately rushed to Pets' classroom to give her the good news. "Cookie's got kittens!" he shouted. Pets looked at him. "Cookie?" she asked, giving him puppy eyes. "Ya Lun found Cookie?" Wayne asked in a confused tone. Aaron nodded as he tried to catch his breath. Pets stood up from her seat, and approached Aaron. "Please take me to her..." she pleaded. Aaron nodded his head. As Pets held his hand, his heart was beating fast again. 

Both of them rushed to where Cookie and her kittens are. The moment Pets saw the kittens, her eyes widened in awe. She smiled, and seeing her smile made him fall in love with her. "Kitties!" she cooed. "So, what do you think we should name the kittens?" Aaron asked. He was trying to hide his pink cheeks from her. "The little one, should be Macaron. Then, the one with a little bit of brown is Eclair. And the other one is Cream Puff." she said. 

Aaron smiled at her. "Cute names." he said. Pets nodded her head as she smiled. "Then, you won't cry anymore, now that we found Cookie?" he asked. Pets smiled at him, and nodded her head.

"How do you even dance?"

Pets asked as Aaron led her to the dance floor. "I don't even know how to dance with a guy." she complained again. Aaron held her hand. "First of all, put your arms around my neck." he said. Then, he lightly held her waist. "Then, just follow my movement, all right?" he said. Pets looked at his hands, and then raised an eyebrow at him. 

"Ya Lun, you're not taking advantage of me, right?" she asked in a dubious tone. Aaron laughed at her. "No way! Look at Diana and Wayne. Also at Sunnee and  Dylan. That's what you do when you slow dance." Aaron said. "I'm just making sure." Pets told her. 

"All right, follow after me. One, two, three... one, two, three..." Aaron said as he slow danced with Pets. Soon after, Pets was able to follow his dance. The two of them were finally dancing, and as they danced, Aaron couldn't help but gaze at Pets. 

"What are you thinking?" Pets asked him. "I'm just thinking how beautiful you look tonight." Aaron said. Pets let out a pout. "I wanted to be handsome." she said. Aaron let out a laugh. "Haven't you even considered being a girl, just for today?" he asked her. "Well, you're a handsome date... so I guess I'll consider." Pets said. 

Pets smiled at him, and he felt like melting with her smile. "You know, if you keep on smiling like that, I might fall in love with you." Pets told him. "Well, would you consider? I'm willing to catch you." Aaron asked. Pets let out a laugh. "You're such a sweet talker, Yan Ya Lun." she told him. 

[End Of Flashback In High School]

"So it was because of a cat?" Ben asked. Wayne sweat dropped at Ben. "The cat was the instrument, Ben. Aaron fell in love with Pets because of her smile." Wayne said. Ben nodded in understanding.

"But let me tell you this, Aaron. You know, when I also first saw Pets, and she was hiding the fact that she likes girls, well, I kinda had a little crush on her too. But the fact remains she likes girls." Wayne told him. "But what if she change, right? What if I can change her mind?" Aaron asked. Wayne let out a sigh. "If pigs fly. Aaron, making Pets like you too is like asking for dinosaurs to come back to life.  And what if she rejects you, right?" Wayne said. Aaron let out a sigh. 

"Well, I'm determined to make her change her mind. I'll try to convince her to like me." Aaron said determinedly. Ben and Wayne just looked at each other, and shrugged their shoulder. "Well, I think we should get ready in case Aaron gets brokenhearted again." Ben told Wayne. Wayne nodded in agreement.
