If Looks Could Kill
My Seven Roommates‘I really hope the convenience store isn't as far as I remember it being.’ I know most places in busy parts of Seoul have stores on every block but this isn't like most areas. This neighborhood was filled with houses, not apartments, and winding roads which seems extremely different than what you see if you were to google search Seoul. But, it does feel nice to get out of the house and not into a bustling city. The air was crisp and fresh, I could feel my headache subsiding. The muscles down my neck where releasing and the tension in my shoulders was gone, it felt like lifting the weight of the world off my shoulders.
It took 20 minutes to get to the store. I headed inside and wondered the aisles trying to find something to eat, but I realized I didn't study up on reading hangul, I know the basics it’s just I read like a five year old. I was able to manage to grab some sausages, ramen packages, a few drinks, and snacks that should tie me over for a couple days before I have go to the grocery store. I placed my items on the counter to get checked out.
“Your total is 15,300 won,” the cashier told me.
I started to pat down my pockets, I had left my wallet at home. I let out a sigh, “I’m so sor-” I was cut off.
“Here, I’ll cover you.” A stern but familiar voice came from behind me as they laid the cash out to pay.
I looked over to see who it was but I couldn't recognize who it was right away, with a mask over his face and a hood over his head. He pulled the mask off his mouth and moved it down to his chin, it was blue hair boy.
‘Why is he here?’ I stared at him confused.
He stick out his hand to take the change from the cashier and put it in his pocket before turning around and heading out the entrance. I followed him with my eyes.
“Miss,” the cashier was trying to catch my attention. I turned back around, the cashier handed me my bag of food.
I ran out the entrance to catch up to him but once out the door I couldn't see him. He couldn't have gotten that far. I ran past an ally before stopping. I was so confused on where he could of gone.
“What are you doing?” a voice came from the ally. It was the voice i was looking for.
“You!” I shouted as i turned towards him.
He let out a sigh, “keep your voice down.” He walked out of the ally rubbing the back of his head, “you can’t be yelling things out like that, or we both could get in trouble if we get caught.” His stare could kill, he was obviously not happy with the situation.
“Sorry, I just wanted to know what you were doing out here?”
He let out another sigh, “you shouldn't be out wandering around alone at this time of night. We should get moving,” he started to walk away.
“I don't even know your name, so why are you taking care of me,” I followed him.
“Does knowing my name even matter?”
“Yes,” i finally caught up to him to step in front of him to make him stop. “If we are going to live together or we will be strangers the whole time, and I’m kind of sick of referring to you as blue hair.”
He rolled his eyes and bumped me into the shoulder, making me drop my bag. I squatted down to pick up my items that had fallen
