“Baek! Wait up!” Chanyeol huffed as he ran to the school gates, “Wow, you’re running late, usually you’re like thirty minutes early.”

”I had to finish my philosophy essay at two in the morning,” Baekhyun practically yawned as he answered, “So forgive me for waking up later.” Despite his words, Baekhyun smiled up at the taller as they fell into step beside each other. 

“Since when did you get behind on work?” Chanyeol’s paces were long and decisive, causing Baekhyun to stumble to keep up, “I must be wearing off on you, .” Baekhyun can’t help but grin back as Chanyeol laughs, his voice booming in the corridor, causing many students to look their way. 

If Baekhyun was considered loud, Chanyeol was a miced up version of him. The two were either annoying or hilarious to others, often the latter, but they had a few enemies. It was a normal occurence to overhear the two bickering at each other, their voices rising higher than the previous time.

”Ew do not give me your Chanyeollie ways,” Baekhyun wrinkles his nose, “one of you is enough.”

”You’re the cutest ing thing,” Chanyeol pinched his nose as he reached their neighbouring lockers. Baekhyun tried his hardest not to let the redness conquer his face, “aw does Baekkie like being cute?” Judging by Chanyeol’s cooing, he failed miserably. 

“Get a room, Hyungs.” Jongin comes up behind the two, patting their asses as a greeting. 

“You know, I’m honoured by your request, and by your politeness, that’s the first time you’ve called me hyung in years.” Chanyeol bats his eyelashes and Jongin just smirks. Baekhyun has busied himself in his locker...definitely not to hide the angry red tinge crawling up his face yet again.
