”Baekhyun don’t talk about it.” Chanyeol hissed, not quite able to meet eyes with the guy he just had with. 

 “...I really like you.” Baekhyun blurted and immediately regretted his decision as soon as the words Chanyeol spoke registered. He already felt tears in his eyes before the inevitable rejection he was about to face. 

 “What?” Chanyeol’s eyes widened impossibly more than ever, Baekhyun would’ve said it was cute under any other circumstance. “Baekhyun, no. No no no. God!”

 Baekhyun couldn’t say or do anything, the intense glare Chanyeol secured on him was terrifying. He felt his lip trembling, as if he was a toddler about to have a tantrum. 

 “Baek, we’re best friends.” Chanyeol deadpanned. “It can’t be like that, whatever that is!” His arms were flailing out of desperation, “best friends don’t , we’re not about to mess up all this history we have!”

 Baekhyun suddenly had a surge of bravery, “What history?!” He exploded, “you telling me all the girls and boys you pursue whilst I ing long for you?”

 “Don’t try that bull,” Baekhyun felt tired, the black hole of rejection filled his stomach with nothing but sorrow, “I know you suspected I was in love with you. You were just too nice to say it. But you know? I thought you might have some feelings towards me, all those years of being this close? Bull.”

 “Bakehyun,” Chanyeol appeared calm and somewhat irritated, much to Baekhyun’s dismay, “You’re causing a scene..stop it now.”
