Contract Killer: Vendetta“A man was found dead this morning at the local container terminal. Officials were called in at dawn after a worker discovered the body which was motionless on the ground. Unfortunately, upon investigation, it was found that the man had been dead for over 6 hours. The body was in an area not covered by CCTV. The police are still investigating.”
Yerin let out a yawn as she shuffled to the living room with a cup of coffee in hand. She grabbed the remote off the coffee table as she sat down on the couch, switching the channel.
“Sometimes I pity the police.” A voice sighed plainly from the hallway.
“Why so?” Yerin asked as she sipped her coffee.
“They can spend their entire life and savings investigating these cases but they won’t find anything,” Sowon said as she sat down on the other end of the couch, grabbing a pillow from her side to hug.
“Never speak too soon. You never know if they actually manage to catch them the moment they get too cocky and slip up a little.”
“True indeed. Lunch later?” Sojung asked.
“When Yuna and Yewon wake up.” Yerin waved her hand as she settled on a cartoon channel. “It’s still early anyway.”

“Steak?” Yewon asked as she looked at the restaurant they were turning into.
“Why not?” Yerin smiled as she parked the white BMW X6. The engine was shut off and the girls got out of the car.
“Looks like a decent place,” Yuna said as she looked at the façade of the single-story restaurant.
As soon as they stepped through the front door, a cute chirpy voice greeted them with the classic statement.
“Welcome! Table for 4?” A short girl with black shoulder length hair smiled at them as she grabbed a couple of menus from the countertop.
“Yes, thanks.” Sojung smiled.
“Right this way.” The girl said as she ushered them into a booth near the corner. The restaurant wasn’t fully packed but there were quite a few diners. The booth they were offered allowed them some privacy and space away from the crowd of diners near the front.
“Some water for you?” The girl asked and Sojung nodded. She handed them the menu and promptly walked off.
“Service seems great.” The tall girl smiled happily as she looked at the menu.
“Only because of the waitress. I smell a hefty tip later.” Yewon sniggered.
“The service really is good! Don’t you think? Yerin?” She looked at the second oldest with pleading eyes but the latter just hummed, eyes focused on the various types of steak.
“I can’t believe you still think Yerin-unnie would help you out.” Yuna laughed. Just then, the waitress returned with 4 cups and a jug of water. She set the glasses down and filled them with water.
“Are you ready to order?” She asked as she looked at the four girls.
“Do you have any recommendations? It’s our first time here.” Sojung said and gave the girl a slight smile.
“Well, we do have a set lunch that you can try. It comes with dessert and a free flow drink of your choice. If not there’s also some fish and chips or chicken chop if you can’t consume beef.” The girl said as she leaned closer to point at the menu in Sojung’s hands.
“I think we’ll just get 4 set lunches.” Yewon interrupted and the waitress immediately straightened up.
“Sure. Your sides and deserts?”
“Steak soup for 2 of us and garden salad for the other 2 and… ice cream for all.” Yuna listed and the girl nodded.
“Coming right up.” She nodded as she gathered the menus and left.
“Smooth, unnie. Real smooth.” Yewon snorted and the oldest sank into her seat. Lunch was served by another waitress much to Sojung’s chagrin.
“Enjoy your meal.” The new waitress with long wavy hair smiled as she slid the last plate to Yerin. “Careful, the plates are hot.” She said and looked at Yerin once more before walking off. They ate mostly in silence apart from the occasional teasing that flies across the table whenever they catch Sojung staring at the cute waitress. They even started a counter for every time she glanced over.
“Total would be 67477₩. Payment by…” The long-haired waitress trailed off as she looked at Yerin.
“Credit.” Yerin filled in as she pulled out a card from her wallet. She handed the card to the girl and watched as she tapped the screen to process the transaction. The girl looked up to meet Yerin’s gaze t
