CHAPTER NINE
Wheein watched as Yongsun slowly, but angrily, walked towards the group. She could see a very dark aura surrounding the taller girl and saw how everyone around her was frozen. She heard everyone’s breathing slow down.   “WHERE IS TAEYEON UNNIE?”   Yongsun didn’t seem to recognise Wheein, but it also looked like she was focused on only Hoya while asking this question. Wheein took very small and soft steps to her left, trying to get to Yongsun from the side instead of from the front. Jimin held out both hands, his golden eyes shining.   “Noona, please calm down. Can you maybe explain what happened? Taeyeon noona isn’t around right now.”   Yongsun gritted her teeth and was ready to lash out with her right arm but she felt a soft hand on her arm. Turning around in anger, she knocked Wheein off her feet before flashing a look of recognition and catching her.   “Wheein?”   Wheein gulped and held a tight grip no Yongsun’s sleeve. Yongsun tried to take a step backwards but was surprised by the force of Wheein’s grip. They stared at each other like that, before Tiffany coughed to break the silence.   “Yongsun-ssi, if you calm down a bit I can get Taeyeon for you. Please wait, I won’t be long.”   Yongsun slowly nodded, not taking her eyes off of Wheein.   “C-can you let go of my arm?”   Wheein seemed shocked when Yongsun said that, and quickly let go of the taller girl’s sleeve. Blushing, she tried to look away from Yongsun only to meet eyes with Jimin who was smirking at her.   -0-0-0-0-   “Jinki-yah. The battle is today. Have you decided who you will take with you yet? You can pick anyone.”   “General. Yes I have, I have decided to bring a precious dongsaeng and Elite Major of mine.”   “Dongsaeng? Are you sure? Taeyeon is still on standby, and I can ask Jessica too. You know they are the most suited for this job right?”   Jinki nodded and smiled at the ground. He knows the look on Nichkhun’s face. Nichkhun knows that he won’t be able to change Jinki’s mind, but he desperately wants to.   “Please don’t use your General’s command, sir. I am already thankful that they are training me today. If I can’t survive this battle by myself, I want to be with someone I deeply care about.”   Nichkhun nodded and sighed.   “Very well, I will respect your wishes this time Jinki. I hope everything goes well.”   Jinki chuckled and looked at Nichkhun with a sad smile.   “Me too, Khun hyung.”   -0-0-0-0-   Taeyeon runs in the training room next to Tiffany, her eyes shining golden, only to find an awkward group standing in half a circle, her cousin standing with her face towards the door. Sprinting to her, she crushed Yongsun in a quick tight hug.   “Yongsun-ah. Are you okay? What’s wrong what are you doing here?”   Yongsun bit down hard and Wheein watched as her jaw tightened and loosened. Wheein knew that Yongsun was upset, angry and probably other things but the view of her jaw tightening like that mesmerized her. Wheein was slightly confused too though, as she could not place what Yongsun was. Her aura was similar to a vampire’s, but her fangs weren’t vampire-like at all. Yongsun took a deep breath and crossed her arms, no hugged herself, as if she was hurt.   “Yonghee unnie got attacked in London.”   Taeyeon’s natural brown orbs widened in shock when she heard Yongsun’s words. She took a step closer to Yongsun and held her arms.   “Is she… okay?”   Yongsun nodded curtly.   “She could be better, but she’s okay. I just— I don’t understand what’s going on and I’m really annoyed.”   Taeyeon puffed her cheeks with air and nodded while turning around to the rest of the people in the training room.   “Please keep training. I’ll come back later so don’t go home early. Fany-ah, can you pease come with us?”   Wheein watched as the three supernaturals walked out of the training room and their bodies turned into dots when they walked out.   -0-0-0-0-   Jessica walked into the Casila building on her heels, the shoes clacking against the hard floor. She walked past different agents, all of them avoiding their eyes by bowing their heads slightly, but she could see some of them nervously biting their lips. She turned right into a long hallway, before disappearing into black mist and appearing again in Nichkhun’s office.   Nichkhun was doing some kind of heavy exercise in a wife beater and shorts, hanging upside down on a metal bar with a bag of stones in his arms. Jessica calmly sat down in the chair in front of Khun’s desk and crossed her legs. Nichkhun’s ears twitched, before dropping the stones on the ground which made a loud sound and jumped down to land on his feet.   “Ya Jung Sooyeon. You can just knock on the door you know?”   Jessica pushed her sunglasses up her head and laughed at Nichkhun.   “General, I’m here on your request.”   Nichkhun wrapped a towel around his neck and leaned on his desk to face Jessica.   “Thanks for coming, I really appreciate it. It seems like you and Taeyeon will only be training him, I asked him if he preferred anyone to come with him and he said he had someone in mind. As a friend, I should respect this, even though I know that his best shot would’ve been you.”   “You are a loyal guy, Khun oppa. You can’t force him to survive.”   Nichkhun nodded and poured a glass of water. Just before he put the glass to his mouth, he was interrupted by a knock on the door.   “Come in!”   Taeyeon appeared in the opening, her right hand in a salute next to her eyebrow.   “Sir.”   Nichkhun waved his free hand up and down, signalling for Taeyeon to come in. Following Taeyeon were Tiffany and Yongsun.   “Oh Jessi! Hey!”   Jessica idly waved at Tiffany.   “Steph, what’re you doing out of the hospital? Don’t you have an 72-hour shift to kill?”   Tiffany smiled at Jessica and shook her head slowly, before Jessica noticed someone was standing next to Tiffany. Her eyes sharpened slightly, looking up and down Yongsun’s face and body. She bit down and slowly walked towards Yongsun to stand only inches away from her face.   “There is a strange aura coming from you. Who are you?”   Yongsun’s eyes turned the same shade of icy blue that sent shivers up Jessica’s spine and she took another step closer to Jessica, their noses almost touching. The whole room felt the tension between the two women.   “I am Kim Yongsun, Solar Rosanguis, the one that can destroy you right in this second if you feel the need to challenge me.” Jessica opened but it was not her voice that came out.   “And you are also my cousin and will stand down.
