Sorry
AgeSeongwoo’s hand trembled as his finger hovered over the send button. Seongwoo had spent hours writing his message, trying to perfect it in every single way possible. But now, once he believed he had written the perfect text; he couldn’t find himself to send the message. No matter how hard he tried, Seongwoo’s fingers would remain a centimeter away from the screen, almost as if his own body was mocking him on how pathetic he is.
Seongwoo threw his phone harshly down on his bed. He groaned as grabbed his hair in frustration.
Seongwoo knew what he had to do. Yet, he still wanted to live in the bliss of ignorance like he had before.
Seongwoo wished he would have had one last day with Daniel before everything had fallen apart.
“Just do it Seongwoo.”
“You’re pathetic, how can’t you do this?”
“You know what you have to do Seongwoo.”
“You’re only going to make everything worse if you don’t tell him now.”
Different thoughts screamed in Seongwoo’s mind, making his head spin.
Each thought said something else, but still somehow the same. All of them were telling him to do one thing and one thing only- to end it all.
Everyone had told Seongwoo that once you've met your soulmate, everything in your life will seemingly fall into place. Seongwoo now knew that if your soulmate was a married man, things wouldn’t go so smoothly.
Seongwoo knew he had to break up with Daniel. Yet, as it was time to face his problem, Seongwoo cowered in his room, unable to face the harsh reality of the cruel world he is apart of. He thought he could be selfish for once in his life with Daniel. But it was his selfishness that caused so much pain and suffering for others, and he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he continued being with a married man.
Seongwoo then calmly picked up his phone, finally ready.
He took a deep breath before sending a simple four-word text “We need to talk.”
~
Daniel’s heart thumped outside of his chest as he anxiously waited for Seongwoo to answer the door. Daniel’s heart wouldn’t stop racing after receiving an alarming text from Seongwoo. Usually when someone texts you “We need to talk,” it isn’t about anything good. Daniel hoped and prayed the other had sent that text just so he would have to run over to his apartment, but Daniel had a creeping suspicion that there was much more behind those four words.
Unlike the many times before where Seongwoo had greeted him, a sad smile spread across Seongwoo’s face as he opened the door.
Daniel knew this wasn’t a good sign, yet he had no idea why things were like this. For all, he knew things couldn't be better in their relationship with his feelings growing stronger for Seongwoo each day.
Daniel hesitantly entered the other’s apartment, not knowing this would be the last time he would be in it with Seong
