Chapter Two
I See YouJisoo could feel the person's heartbeat as her back was pressed closed to his chest.
She turned around slowly. She could sense the person who had saved her staring at her, causing a faint pink tinge to arise on her cheeks.
"Are you alright?" A boy's voice reached her ears. It was magnetic, as if your whole attention can only be on him when he speaks and canot be pulled away. She could smell a faint scent of mint mixed with coconut that was coming from him.
Before she could answer, she heard Jennie's worried cries and hurried footsteps.
"Jisoo yah! I am so so sorry! I was too distracted just now! I can't believe I didn't notice you-"Jennie rambled on hurriedly.
"Jennie! It's okay. Don't beat yourself up about it!"Jisoo smiled. "Nothing happened right?"
"Thank goodness you're okay!"Jennie pouted."Otherwise, I don't know how I am going to face your parents."
"It's fine, really, Jennie yah." Jisoo repeated again, her voice tinted with amusement. "Luckily someone pulled me aside just now."
At this, Jennie suddenly noticed the boy standing behind Jisoo, who was watching their whole interaction silently.
Jennie's eyes widened and her hand quickly clasped Jisoo's.
"What's wong?" Jisoo asked puzzledly.
"S-Sehun." Jennie stuttered, her voice wavering.
"Wae?"Jisoo asked."Why are you suddenly talking about Sehun? I know he is your crus-"
Jisoo's sentence was lost as Jennie suddenly covered with her hand.
"Jisoo!" Jennie hissed.
"Wae?"Jisoo asked as she finally shook off Jennie's hand."You were the one who said his name. Why are you being so weird now?"
"Yah! He is the one who saved your life! Pabo-yah!"Jennie muttered quietly into Jisoo's ear.
Jisoo froze and her grin wavered.
"S-Sehun. Thank you so much for saving Jisoo's life!" Jennie said whilst pulling Jisoo hand to indicate that she should bow and say something too.
"Ah, yes.Thanks for pulling me aside just now."Jisoo said and bowed.
The said boy's interest was piqued.
He noticed that Jisoo's eyes can't seem to focus on him and that she was staring somewhere else, as if looking at an object that was located far away.
