Are we Over?
The Golden QuillThey were seated in their private lounge and Soo-hyuk had not stopped staring at Gaelin like he was trying to work something out. “Well Miss Worst President Ever, I am very interested in what you are trying so hard to hide.” He leaned back and waited. Gaelin took a slow sip of her coffee and tried to sort through everything. Perhaps like this:
“On Saturday, Woo Minjae called to ask for assistance. He was having a blackmailing issue.” Gaelin stared at Soo-hyuk and he stared back, no emotions on either of their faces.
“I helped him, it took most of the night. He asked for confidentiality. I agreed. That is why I did not come home on Saturday…” Soo-hyuk pressed the tips of his fingers together and Gaelin forced down the lump in and continued, “Min Yoongi saw me. I was called to a meeting with Jung Ho-seok where they demanded an explanation. I promised them that I would tell you, which I am now doing.”
Lee Soo-hyuk was silent, for too long. “Worst President Ever.” He mocked under his breath. It was so soft, she barely heard it but she dares not rise up, not when she had everything to lose. “Get some rest.” He sighed without looking at her. That hurt worse than an open rejection.
“Where are you going?” she demanded as he rose and buttoned his suit jacket. “What about the meeting tonight and…”
“You can skip that,” he returned smoothly.
“No Lee Soo-hyuk you cannot…”
“I cannot?” he cut her off. “I don’t think it's right that
