“Another A. Well done Stephanie.” My professor says, giving me a genuine smile. 

“Thank you”

“Are you ready for the mock trials?” he asks

“I am actually, i cant wait to get into the courtroom” I sound like a nerd i know 

He gives me a small smile “You are going to be a great lawyer!”

My heart feels warmth at that compliment 

“Thanks! i will see you next week sir”

I walk out of the class humming to myself, I'm in a good mood. Little did i know it would all change.

I get into my car, deciding to drop by my boyfriends house. I’m a few years into my law degree and have 1-2 years left. Kris is the same.

We have been together since year 10.

Im a source of embarrassment for my family. Yet they don't know i am one of the good ones.

I don’t do drugs.

I don’t smoke.

I don’t drink. 

I am ambitious and goal - oriented 

Kris is ambitious as well, one of the reason why i like him.

We even planned our future. After we graduate, we are going to start our own law firm, get married and then buy a house. It was all planned out.

I have always wanted to be a lawyer since my mother has put the idea into my head when i was a small girl.

Law keeps my mind busy.

I don’t waste time on stupid things, I'm busy with law and so is Kris.

He lives next door to me, which also makes things easier.
