I can’t believe this.

Seungcheol gaped at the inside of the school. It was huge, possibly even bigger than Shining High. He was annoyed by how shiny everything was (isn’t that what Shining High was supposed to be about?) and everything looked picture perfect. Suddenly a crowd of students poured out of classrooms and Seungcheol snapped out of his reverie.

Joshua was missing.

Oh shoot. Seungcheol quickly started scanning the crowd, but it was hopeless. There were people on all sides of him, trapping him. He whipped out his phone and tried calling Joshua.

“Hello?”
“Dude, where are you?”
“I-I don’t know, actually…”
“Gah, okay let’s wait out the crowd…hold on…”

The crowd eventually dispersed and Seungcheol looked everywhere, but Joshua was nowhere to be seen.
Just how far could he have gotten? he wondered in annoyance. He pulled out his phone again.
“Where’s the host club at?” he asked. “I’ll just meet you there.”
“Second floor, 3rd door to your left.”
Seungcheol immediately bounded towards the location. Finally, he thought. I can see this for myself.

Joshua, meanwhile, was in quite a predicament. After getting separated from Seungcheol, he’d been shoved around by the crowd, not quite sure how he'd ended up at the other end of the building, and one person accidentally spilled their coffee on him—“Sorry!”—so now Joshua had no choice but to find the nearest restroom and wash up. He sighed as he examined the stain on his blouse. No doubt that it’d be quite obvious. He groaned, cursing his luck, and that’s when he heard a chuckle.

“Didn’t expect to meet you here, but whatever,” the familiar voice that Joshua had been dreading crept up behind him. He whirled around and Jeonghan was watching him with an amused expression.
“So tell me, now that I finally have you,” Jeonghan said, “Care to explain why you’re in the men’s restroom?”
Joshua was confused. “Because I am a—” Oh, wait.
“I mean-um—” and without a warning he bolted past Jeonghan and out the door, praying the other boy would leave him be.

No such luck.

He could hear his name being called as he rounded the corner towards the host club, bumping into Seungcheol who’d been waiting for him. Seungcheol raised an eyebrow at Joshua’s panicked state but then caught sight of the pretty looking male hounding after him.

“Seungcheol,” Joshua gasped, his eyes pleading. And that’s all it took.
“Oy, who are you?” he said as threateningly as possible, standing in between Joshua and Jeonghan as he faced him.
Jeonghan looked mildly perturbed. “Yoon Jeonghan, how could you not know me? And who’re you, and why are you standing in between me and—”
“I’m Seungcheol,” the other replied coldly. “Now quit scaring her,” he added, referring to Joshua who looked like he’d just escaped the claws of death.
Jeonghan chuckled. “Oh, so you’re her boyfriend?” he asked.

Both Joshua and Seungcheol immediately choked on air and starting coughing like crazy, Joshua almost falling over, and finally it was Seungcheol who sputtered—
“No-no way, what’re you, crazy?”
Joshua quickly regained his breath and turned to Jeonghan. 
“We-we’re siblings. He’s my…older brother.”

A smile curved on Jeonghan’s lips. “Oh, I see. Well, now that we’ve got that cleared up, come along my dear Jisoo—”
“Not so fast,” Seungcheol cut in. “I’m here today to check out the host club my…sister’s been going to. Need to make sure it’s…um…safe.”
Jeonghan rolled his eyes. “The overprotective older brother. I thought those only existed in books. Well, alright then, you can both come in I guess.”

Jeonghan reluctantly let Seungcheol enter, who shot daggers back at him as he held a protective arm over Joshua. Jeonghan rolled his eyes again as he escorted the pair into the room.

Now, if Joshua’s reaction had been excessive, Seungcheol’s was through the roof.
“HOLY SH…” his jaw nearly hit the ground as his eyes took in all the little details, the decorations, the music, everything.
“What is all this?” he finally asked weakly, gesturing towards everything wildly, looking like he’d lost his mind as he turned to the boastful looking Jeonghan. The latter smirked.
“The best host club in town, that’s what.”
Instantly Seungcheol’s defensive mode fired up. “Excuse me?”
“You’re excused.”
Seungcheol looked ready to breathe fire as he stared down the entire room once more, trying to hide his admiration.

“Jeonghan, what the heck, I specifically told you no bringing visitors—isn’t this the same girl you’ve been chasing after—wait, why is a GUY in here—”
Seungcheol, in his wonder, failed to see where he was going and crashed into a certain tiny figure. Just as the smaller individual was about to fall over, Seungcheol threw out an arm and caught him like a scene in a drama. Except it was ruined when Seungcheol blurted—
“Oh, sorry! But why is a middle schooler in here? How’d he get in?”

The “middle schooler”, Jihoon, escaped Seungcheol’s hold while his eyes widened terrifyingly. 
“M-middle schooler?” he sputtered. “How dare you! I’m the LEADER OF THIS HOST CLUB!”
There was a deafening silence as the entire room swiveled to see why the cute and sweet Jihoon was yelling. 
As if, Jeonghan laughed internally. We’re all swindlers, all of us.

Meanwhile, Seungcheol looked like his soul had left the plane of existence. 

“No way.”
Jihoon glared at him. “Yes way. Why are you even here? This is strictly girls-only last time I checked.”
“B-but—” 

Joshua couldn’t help but giggle at Seungcheol being at a loss for words because of this petite guy, and Jeonghan turned to him in surprise, about to comment, when—
“But you’re just—so cute! How could you—” Seungcheol blurted.

Jihoon’s jaw twitched and he looked ready to murder someone with a fork as he stepped forward.
“If you dare call me cute again,” he hissed. “I will not hesitate to end your life right here and now.”

Suddenly a large hand came out and pulled Jihoon away.

“Sorry,” said a low voice apologetically. “He totally hates being compared for his looks.” Immediately his eyes widened in recognition. “Oh, you’re the girl who bumped into me the other day! The one that Jeonghan-hyung kept desperately searchin—”
“Ahahahahahaha!” Jeonghan cut in with forced laughter, elbowing the tall guy, Mingyu, painfully. 

Joshua smiled sheepishly. “Ah, yeah, sorry about that,” he mumbled. 

Jeonghan jabbed Mingyu again.
“Stop being so mean to her,” he scolded, while Mingyu rubbed the spot where Jeonghan hurt him, looking annoyed. He got dragged away by a few impatient looking girls, leaving the four of them back at square one.

Seungcheol looked at Jihoon with a mixture of confusion, dislike, and a weird feeling that he couldn’t quite distinguish yet. Jihoon, meanwhile, slapped on his normal face and returned back to the girls, all the while wondering why this random annoying guy was in here in the first place.
