Nothing at all can replace you....

Those were all going through Daehyun's head as he watched Himchan put his arm Youngjae, both blushing heavily. All Daehyun could think about is how he missed his chance with Youngjae, his beautiful Youngjae. Youngjae had told him he wasn't going to wait forever, how he knew Daehyun was afraid but that if he really loved Youngjae...he would have gone after him. 

But now, Youngjae had stopped waiting. Stopped waiting for Daehyun to pick up his nerves and confess to someone who already knew Daehyun loved him. But just knowing wasn't enough, not for Youngjae. he loved being able to show his affection, not stopping for anyone who had a problem with it. he would look at others with big eyes and they would forget everything anyways. 

Daehyun had been so close to gathering up his courage, to confessing. But on that day when Youngjae had been waiting, his mother had held him back. he had never told Youngjae that he had new bruises from heavy handed blows or that he hadn't been able to walked but it didn't matter, Himchan had taken his opportunity. 

Youngjae would never know or else he would confront his mother and Daehyun would never let that happen. If Youngjae had known, would he have given Daehyun another chance? Either way it didn't matter now. 

he turned to Jongup, someone he had confided about everything: Youngjae, his mother, everything. Jongup put his hands on Daehyun's shoulder, smiling softly.

“Don't worry, your time will come.”

Daehyun turned back to Youngjae, Oh he hoped so.
