TEAM A & TEAM B
Saturday, 29 Nov 2014
After the long gruelling weekdays, weekend has finally arrived and most people would be out spending their time with their friends, families or loved ones. And for the lazier ones, they would be spending their time on the bed catching up on hours of lost sleep. However, if you're a teenager with a dream of becoming a famous idol, neither of the mentioned activities would be in your calendar. Instead, you would be in a training room of your signed entertainment agency, drenched in your sweat as you trained, danced and master the choreography that had been taught to you.
And that has been the life of 3 YG senior idol trainees for the past years from the moment they signed with YG Entertainment. Lee Eunhee, Shin Jooeun and Kim Haneul, or commonly known as Team A, has been grouped together since 2011 and they had been a strong and formidable team ever since. Known to be the team with the most talented members, Team A is most respected and looked up to by all the other trainees. They had appeared in numerous music videos, danced in various concerts and even appeared as cameos in dramas and movies. With such talents, beauty and experience, it had been a wonder to many as to why YG have not debuted them yet. "It's not their time yet," is what the director would always say but noone knows what he is waiting for.
As how they would spend their time daily, Team A is having a recorded dance practice in one of the many dance studios in the YG building while another female idol team, Team B, watched them by the sideline. Consisting of Kim Jisoo, Jennie Kim, Roséanne Park, Lalisa Manobal, Team B watched in awe at how their seniors were able to sing and dance perfectly to a male idol group song 'Shadow' by BEAST. From every , bend and even rotating positions, the 3 girls were able to performed perfectly without missing a beat to the 6 members group song.
"Because I'm shadow, shadow, shadow..." Haneul sang the last line as they then posed, waiting for their dance instructor to cue them.
"And.. cut! That's good! Have a 10 minute break while I watched Team B's dance practice. After the break, we'll try out B.A.P's One Shot that you learnt last week," their dance instructor, Jang Heegun said, smiling as he gave the 3 girls a thumbs up.
"Yes sir!" the 3 girls replied cheekily, smiling widely as they walked towards their water bottles.
"Team B, let's do KARA's Lupin that you were taught last week. Get into your positions.. Okay.. Ready.. and go!" Jang Heegun said and one of the staff started the music.
Drinking down their water as they watched Team B's dance practice, the 3 girls made a mental note on what went wrong or how the other 4 girls could improve their dance steps. They could hear the annoyance in their dance instructor's voice but they couldn't really blame the girls as some of the girls had just joined the company a couple of years ago and one of the girls is not even a Korean and had probably spent most of her time learning the language.
