Chapter 12
ButterflyEven though she was fully aware there was nothing she could do, Chou jumped up from her bed and ran to the cell door. Judging by the sounds of hands hitting metal and the sights given from the dim lighting in the block, the others were doing the same.
"Hoseok!" someone yelled. Namjoon.
The florescent lights in the block flashed on, blinding Chou for several seconds.
As her eyes were adjusting, Chou processed what Namjoon had said. Was Hopi the one screaming? Chou listened, trying to hear something familiar in the constant howling.
As soon as she recognized the voice as Hopi's, she was shocked by a loud banging noise. There was a sharp, pained yell from a cell near hers.
"Hands off the bars!" an unfamiliar older man's voice bellowed, echoing through the block. The sounds of bodies scrambling away from the doors of their cells followed.
Did that officer just- she got her answer as a baton slammed on the bars of her cell. She lept back, terrified. She made eye contact with the officer in question: a gruff man with dark eyes. In his hand, he held the weapon in question: a thick, black baton that he had been hitting the bars wit
