Chapter 10
ButterflyOver the course of the day, Chou was shown around the block more by Jungkook, which wasn't much of a walk.
Most of the people in the block were only allowed in the cells and the open area. A few others- Jimin, Hopi, and occasionally V and Namjoon were allowed into a locked adjacent room to the side for something that at first took Chou by surprise- electroshock therapy.
"Relax, butterfly," Jungkook told her. "They do it the correct way. This isn't some asylum like in the movies."
Chou stepped back, away from him. "What did you just call me? And yes, I understand that. But still..." she looked up at the cameras watching them. "Where are the doctors?"
Jungkook laughed darkly. "I think you misunderstand." When Chou looked at him, confused, he explained, becoming more and more angry as he spoke. "You see, the word 'Hospital' after 'Psychiatric' in the name 'BTS Psychiatric Hospital for the Criminally Insane' is there just for show. You know the parts that really matter? The words 'Criminally Insane'. Because sure, they can lock us murderous loonies together and stuff us full of antipsychotics, but you know what that 'Insane' part means, butterfly? It means they can do whatever the hell they want to us and we can't do a damn thing about it, because who is gonna believe a psycho about treatment? And who cares enough to even ask?"
He began pacing back and forth, raking his hair with his hand. "You know inmates in normal prisons have rights? They get to go outside and talk to relatives on the phone and are able to walk around and are promised to be let out in a few years if they're good little boys and girls.
