The 29 year old singer locked himself in the recording studio. Although he appeared calm, he is fustratingly repeating a few chords on the keyboard. His fingers were pressing on the keys at different speed and pressure everytime, but nothing seems right. 

Outside the recording room his manager walked by. Key, or whom Taeyeon like to refer to as Kibum, goes through the lightly dimmed hallway and enter the lounge on the left. After making himself a coffee he sat on the leather couch and skim through pages of the newest edition of Vogue.

"Hey Key!" A short-hair girl peaked her head into the doorway. 

Key looked up from the magazine. His mouth slightly dropped, "Amber?" The girl was much tanner then the last time he saw her, which was two months ago. "You're back!"

Excited, Amber enter the lounge with her patterned luggage. She dragged the case to the side of the couch and sat down across from Key.

"How was your African trip?" he asked, putting down his magazine.

"Inspiring," Amber answered with much enthusiasm. "I wrote so many songs while I was there; probably enough for 2 full albums."

"Remind me which countries you visited?

Amber started counting fingers, "I first went to Rwanda, then went to Djibouti, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, then fly to Ghana, and then lastly to Morocco."

Key could only nod as he has no idea where half of the countries are. "Glad you came back safe." As he have no knowledge on any of the African countries he did not bother to continue inquiring about Amber's trip. He then shifted his eyes to the girl's suitcase. "Any souvenirs for me?"

"Oh of course," Amber roll the luggage before her feet and place it horizontally on the floor before ping it. "I got you something to decorate your office with." She took out a dark colored handmade wooden mask. "Like it?" She hold it infront of her before giving to Key.

The African mask match well with Key's black and white themed office.

"Wow, thank you." Key received the gift with two hands. 

"Where is Tae? I have something for him." Although everybody in the company is Amber's friend, Tae is one of her dearest friends.

"You know where he is." Key rest his back against the couch and smiled at the girl as he's sure that Amber know the answer to her question already.

Amber eyed at the clock on the wall. It was only 7:20am. "He's always so early. Didn't he just won the Best Male Artist of the Year? As Tae's manager you should tell him to relax. They are probably not going to give him the same award next year."

Key shrug, "I mean I'm fine with it. I'm an early bird also, and he have been like this since the first day I worked with him. Why change something when it works, right?"

"Yes, Best Manager of the Year." Amber said laughingly. "I guess I will have to wait until he comes out of the recording studio then."

"No, you could go knock on the door. You know Tae wouldn't mind." Key then took out his smartphone from his inside pocket to check the time. "He usually comes out at eight. You could give the souvenir to me, and I'll give it to him."

"Nah, I could wait."

The girl was in the studio catching up with the singer. Amber was a singer-turned- composer. She made her debut 3 years ago, but since she did not do well with the sales few of the producers suggested that she should change career path. Her first song as a composer, 'Behind You', was picked up by Taeyeon, and it was an instant hit on the charts. Since then the girl have been composing for Taeyeon and few other artists at the label.

Amber and Taeyeon were sitting across from each other; him in the office chair and her on the couch. The singer was experimenting with his souvenir- Kalimba. Kalimba is a thumb piano made of wood and bamboo.

"Do you have a manual for this?" Taeyeon ask. His voice was calm and flat, even though he was interested and excited.

"You are a musical genius. You don't need one." Amber assured him. "Key told me that you are finally dating." She smiled suspiciously. It was obvious that Amber does not believe it. The Taeyeon that she knew does not believe in love.

Taeyeon looked up from his new toy. "He know that is not true." The singer rest the instrument flat on his lap. 

"So do you have any interest in her?" Amber asked.

"Maybe... maybe not. I have only seen her once." Taeyeon avoided the question easily.

"She doesn't seem like the kind of girl you would fall in love with." Amber was surprised when Key told her it was Tiffany.

Taeyeon weakly smiled at his friend. "I am not in love with her." His voice was calm and soft as always. It is extremely difficult to pick up any emotion with the way he speaks. "But I did promise her a song," Taeyeon swung his office chair around, facing the keyboard, "and I'm not quite there yet." He began to play some chords along the keys.

"Well, maybe I could help." Amber got off her seat.
