Chapter 14
All The Ways
“Babe, where were you? You look pale.”
Momo had just returned to the VIP room where she found Rosie sitting in the booth waiting for her. Her heart sank to her stomach. Just what had she done?
“Are you okay? Can you drive? Should we just call a taxi?” Rosie was so worried looking at her. She looked like she had more to drink than Rosie. She couldn’t even look at Rosie in the eye.
Momo grabbed Rosie’s hand that touched her cheek and gently pushed it away. “I’m alright. Let’s go home.”
“Alright,” Rosie said. She followed behind Momo. “Seems like we both need rest.”
It wasn’t that she was tired. Momo could keep partying in the club until dawn if she wanted to. And it wasn’t that she was sick. She was physically fine. But it was because of what she did minutes before coming to see Rosie again, Rosie who was by herself with her neck stretched out looking for her in the room. Her conscience was killing her. What she did was unforgivable and she hated herself so much that she was losing color in her skin. She had to rest herself permanently.
She wished she could wither right there in the car as Rosie checked on her every five seconds.
“Did someone put something in your drink? Did you take anything back there? Did Bobby oppa give you anything?” Rosie kept asking and asking.
Momo knew it was simply out of concern, but Rosie’s concern was only making the situation worse. She sighed. “No, nothing. I’m just tired. I went to get some air while you were in the restroom. It was getting really stuffy inside.”
“Oh, alright.” Rosie squeezed her hand. “I’m just worried about you, that’s all.”
It wasn’t possible for her to jump out of the moving vehicle she was maneuvering, was it? Momo didn’t really have any choice but to endure the consequences of her actions. It was genuine hell to be with a girlfriend like Rosie when half an hour ago she was pressed up on the wall with someone that wasn’t her.
She wanted to tell her. She wanted to admit to her mistake and ask for forgiveness but she knew it would create more mess. She held herself together for another mile, just until they stopped at Rosie’s building, before she could allow herself to break into pieces.
“Good night.” Rosie kissed her. “I would let you stay the night but you seem exhausted.”
Momo stifled a laugh. “Yeah, maybe next time.”
Maybe next time she would also gain the courage to come clean or decide on what she really wanted or—maybe it was best to not do anything yet.
It was a quarter past one. Maybe driving to Jungyeon’s and confessing to her would be better, then she’d know what to do.

“You did what?” Jungyeon screamed. “Were you out of your ing mind? Momo, wh—”
“Don’t, Jungyeon. I know what I did.” Momo had her face to her palms, regretting everything.
“Why did you kiss her?”
“She kissed me first, okay?!” Momo yelled.
“But then she pulled away and you kissed her.”
The scene was a nightmare to her. Now that she was fully conscious of what had happened, she wanted it erased from her mind but that wasn’t possible. It would be there with her every single day, eating her inside until she would tell Rosie.
“I don’t know what got into me, Jungyeon,” Momo said. “I don’t know what to do. What’s going to happen between me and Rosie?”
“You should’ve pushed Mina away the mo
