Momo went alone. She knew that it was best for her to deal with the mess by herself rather than drag anyone with her, namely Mina. Inside the elevator, she could feel her body tensing even more as it went higher into the building. Half of her wanted to break the doors and jump.

Why did this have to happen now? It was the only thing in her mind. Karma had truly gotten her right back.

In her reflection on the metal walls surrounding her, she could see how her face looked dark and tired. She hadn’t had any sleep since learning about the scandal from Sana. How would she be able to when she knew in the back of her mind what it was about? She didn’t need to be told.

Mina offered to stay by her side, holding her hand outside her apartment.

“Let me go with you,” she said.

But Momo only kissed her on the cheek and told her she didn’t have to. She didn’t want Mina to be there when their boss would be yelling at her, would be waving pictures from paparazzi at her face. Mina should be protected, that was her main concern. She didn’t have anything to do with it.

As she went forward to the office in front of her, she thought about Rosie and how this was probably a part involving her. She felt the need to apologize again. She hoped the woman had already known.

“Sit down, Momo.” The CEO, Park Jin Young, said as soon as he saw her foot peek into the door.

Momo sped up and sat on the chair in front of her, keeping her head down low for respect. Even though she was now one of the most recognized idols in the country, with her boss, she was still an ordinary idol.

“Hello, sajang-nim.”

His eyes were running through her. Despite his calm demeanor and the silence in his office, Momo was aware of the temper he was holding in.

“So by now, I think you know why you’re here,” He said. “We are being threatened by a scandal and it involves you.”

She nodded, heart bursting out of her chest.

He took out a brown envelope from one of the drawers behind his desk and laid it on the table. He opened the lid and pulled out one large photo.

“This is only a small percentage of the whole trouble we’re in.”

The photo was taken during night time. It was dark as seen by the noises all over the quality. There was Momo, outside of what appeared to be Rosie’s apartment building, walking towards her car.

“It doesn’t seem much,” Park Jin Young commented. “But there’s more where that came from.”

He showed her another photo. This one was taken in broad daylight. By the heads of blonde hair and the lean figures in the picture, that one was taken in Australia. The person who shot it must have been hiding behind a fence because without zooming it closer, nobody would determine that the couple kissing on the beach was Momo and Rosie.
