Sequel song chosen!!
The Way They WereHi everyone! If you still click on this story to get these random updates, I really do commend you. In case you haven't noticed, I've changed the title of the story to be "The Way They Were." I'd always wanted to name it that, but I wasn't sure it'd fit so I didn't put it as the title :P. I'm pleased to announce that I've chosen a song for the sequel of this story! It's going to be called "Being Okay," inspired by lyrics from the song "Be Okay" by Oh Honey. Don't worry, thought -- the song won't be taken very literally (at least I hope it wont and I can actually execute my ideas haha).
Thank you so much for staying subscribed!!! I really expected the subscriber count to drop after I completed the story, but the fact that the count has risen instead of fallen really makes me a happy camper ^.^ But seriously -- I'm so incredibly thankful for all of you.
Since fanfiction tends to have negative connotations, I was extremely afraid to put this up. I didn't want to be judged or ridiculed -- after all, who wants that? I've only told three people that I've written fanfiction, and luckily, I don't think they're judging me as of now. Sometimes I wonder if it was a mistake and if I would become embarrased or I would regret putting stuff up because of criticism, but I'm incredibly fortunate to say that AFF is a kind platform. Every time I log in, and that notification earth-world-thingy happens to be red, and it says I have new subscribers or new comments it makes me smile.
AND YEAH I know that around 130 subscribers (around) doesn't make history. I know that there are stories out there with 10000+ subscribers and 100000+subscribers (probably -- I haven't seen one yet but I assume there have to be). But nevertheless, I'm thankful. It may not be revolutionary, but it means a lot to me. I wasn't going to write in order to gain subscribers -- I want to write here because I have ideas (that aren't necesarily about famous people). The great thing about writing fanfiction is that you have a sort of templet to begin with -- you have a character who has some traits you can work with already. I'm thankful to be able to get some floating ideas out somewhere and actually get a positive response.
(WOW I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT TO GET SO EMOTIONAL IM SORRY LOL)
Back to what you opened this up for! I'm planning to start the sequel after I finish "Grey" (which is still being written-- I haven't given up). Meanwhile, while I try and come up with some ideas for "They Were Okay" (so I don't go into it completely blind), I hope those of you who have checked out "Grey" enjoy! (update started it lol -- of course what else would I expect from myself)
